So.. After much consideration.... I have backed the project. Against everything I believe in about kickstarter; I don't think this should be the highest funded game project to date...
But The Oatmeal is a good site and had great strip and I really appreciate the purchase of Tesla's lab for a museum and Musk's help in a museum.
Just to be clear........ the game itself is sh!t even for a simple party game and I hope it gets some serious help before fulfillment... but I like the minds that created this and HOPE it will improve.

Start-ups need more funding, since they are not yet mass produced or have the backing of a major gaming corporation. They did not expect it to take off like it did, creating a smaller amount ends up costing more- but people certainly don't have a problem paying the price they did. I think the price also reflects getting to be the first group to try something.
