There are two kinds of stretch goals. Those that follow the original purpose of utilizing economy of scale to increase value of the product and those that use those already backing to advertise constantly for them.

Mike, the extra goals are kind of the incentive for kickstarting. Otherwise it would just be a preorder system. The thing about it is, these golas will end up making more people come, and spend more money. Then once the project is done, the bonuses are very hard to come by. It's the creators thanks to the fans for donating before a physical product was available

That 100 person cat ears photo is going to be a megasize file in order to the hash in it and be able to zoom in enough to see the hash. Figure 16MB or larger. Waiting for that to eat up some bandwidth. Hehehe
