I commented on the way the achievements are handled before, so I won't spoil the mood by repeating myself.
Alas: None (wilw, ellen grr) were willing to tweet their lines. Considering they could have stopped the email flood simply by tweeting the sentences, they must instead have asked the creators to get them out of the line.
Those achievements have never been doable at all. (As some of the others are like $10Mio or 100k twitter/facebook.
@Peter: Except that the major press push would have given them a lot of ground TO do it... celebrities are weird.

Actually, celebs on average hate the @ bombing... some don't mind, but most of them get constantly harassed for it anyway, so when a big campaign encourages it, the situation gets worse. And if they do it, it just encourages it to happen more often.

Even if the poor celebs did what they were "asked" to do, there would probably have been quite a lot of people - just seeing the post - who wrote them to do it without realising that it had been done already.
I think it is the right thing to stop those and then put up some new ones - like the 50k Twitter followers. A similar for Facebook would be nice :)

Let's remember that while we've been given the 50k Twitter followers achievement free, we haven't actually reached it. Which is significant given we now need every single one of the other achievements, and 100k is a long way off.
