Some campaigns are lucky to get a few hundred comments, even if they have successful funding. Ogre had about 6,500 comments, the Cooler had 6,140.

In searching, I just found one unsuccessful campaign that had a whole of four comments. I guess it just depends what chord the project strikes with the public.
It just depends on the people in general. We have a thriving community, which is somewhat rare.

In my case, I became aware of KS _just_ after the Ogre Designer's Edition closed (drats!); but until now this was the first thing that struck me as worth funding ... too many of the games here are sorta bland or similar.

I feel the same way Jeff. It definitely helps when there is passion for something as there is with EK. We all want to help it grow so it brought us closer as we started inventing potato cats and so on and so for, our imaginations running wild.

I skimmed all the other games on KS, and some of the more weird ideas, and there's a lot of great ideas out there -- I just don't need any of them. I seriously thought about backing the "Aplace2Play" game tiles, but decided I had enough of that type stuff too.

I'm usually backing four to eight KickStarter projects at any given point in time. Some of them develop small communities around them, but none of them as much as this one. I don't often host fan pages for Kickstarter projects. Yeah, I'd say that makes this one unique.

I have to find time to do the CAD work, and then go to my former employer to borrow their lasers. Custom engraved CRT dice for Ogre ... I'll need five or six unique ones ... but then, Ogre released the War Room app that eliminates dice and the CRT entirely.

I have yet to witness the usefulness of arts, and as Pron is being created, the humanities are being repurposed to enslavement, pain & construction while removing the use of anything you call good and beautiful
