@BaKhan, I won;t negate that, it might be, our cuisine is heavily influenced by the Turks though Crete was mostly sovereign in the Turkish era, and Raki is from Crete
To be fair to Greece though, they have much better food than Turkey overall, had some great meals in Turkey, but not all, where as everything I had in Greece was pretty much awesome. Okay enough of that. Trinkets, we need trinkets!

It all dates back to the Ottoman Empire(ish), so nationality is irrelevant other than turkeys claiming of it as a national beverage.

Everything is rather subject, especially with food. The spice pallet of greece is one I do find more agreeable generally though.
