However, I will say that I love my three cats, but I still miss my Critter
I had a cat, I was a slave to her. Unfortunately she died in May 2014 and we haven't decided on getting another yet. Looks like I'm having ear surgery this coming May/June. I go up to my moms in Massachusetts to a really good facility so we will wait until I'm recovered from that. We also have been doing some work on the house which I'd like to have done before bringing in new cat(s).

Critter was my cat before I got the three I have now. He died suddenly in September of 2011. He was only 4 1/2 years old. He still acted like a kitten most of the time, except he would also play fetch and occasionally barked.

The Facebook page has 79,429 likes. That's only 571 short of 80,000. 100,000 seems like a long way off, but keep in mind that yesterday there was less than 70K likes. That means the number of likes has jumped by 10K in *one day*.
Surgery should go well. It's to fix a titanium ear bone back in place & put a new eardrum in. The "hit by Mack truck" of March 2012 moved the bone a bit & it's now poked through the eardrum - we new it might happen. Fixing it will be much shorter surgery than the original rebuilding of bones. My advice: don't get hit by trucks it hurts and causes problems for years or life. LOL

Loosing pets is like losing a family member. I'll always remember Lucky and the good times we had. I'm glad she's no longer in pain. I know I'll have more pets in the future just not when.

GCoD, the only way I know of to prevent calcium buildup is to use soft water. If it's a fountain that isn't plumbed, you can use distilled water in it, instead of tap water.

I started by using distilled water, but got lazy over time. I suspect I'd have to clean it every few months no matter though. It please the cat to have running water in the house all the time ;>)
