I once calculated that our small store was bringing about $60K a year to the State of Missouri. well- The more bulk they make the cheaper it would cost per unit- also they would be mad if they didn't put money/budget aside for creating some sort of retail run. So they ARE doing pretty well right now.

Someone had posted that KS and Amazon draw 10% right off the top, and you can expect 1% for credit failures, and another 1% for folks that just never pay. The Survey costs too, something like 6%. Taxes will hit them hard too. Production costs are likely to be 40% of the total, shipping will eat into it greatly, what with 152,000 unique shipments to be made.

Someone on BGG opined he had asked a buddy in printing, and they ballparked $5 a deck ... so who knows. Obviously, Cards Against Humanity is still in business, so there is profit there, but how much? I still say these fellows knew full well this was a "go" project even before they committed. The 1000 deck story is cute, but they knew 1000 would never meet demand.

For all the Munitions Systems Specialists in the world, usually referred to as Ammo, I would request a card to have our symbol on it, commonly known as the flaming pisspot, or more officially, the shell and flame. You'd be amazed where you'll find it if you just look closely. Besides, Ammo usually feels a bit territorial about things that explode, even if they include kittens. :)

@jelitten: picking up extra decks is too costly at the moment ;-) at least for me with the shipping right now (not a complaint, I get it guys!). I think if they do end up dropping that a bit, they will get a lot more non-US backers and we could possible end up in the top 3 :D

Sorry to just throw this out there and leave, but what if we could get the 100 people/cat ears by pics within pics? Like, someone takes a pic of themselves wearing cat ears, next person takes a pic of themselves next to the comp screen wearing cat ears next to first cat ear wearer, so on so forth until 100? All of the corps could be in on it!
@creeper: they could never. we already have our own website, and money! we would just employ elan and the guys to make it anyway and print it ourselves :P
