@Kevin I didn't think so. For this to count, somebody should round up 100 people who are getting photographed wearing cat ears EXPRESSLY for this achievement. Digitally adding an #Update9 to a picture taken for something else shouldn't count. (So don't do a Google search for a cast photo for "Cats" please!)
When the picture IS taken, having somebody holding up a PAPER sign reading "Update9" should prove that it is for real!

The facebook like option is probably easier then 100 cat ears . All you need is out of the 150,000 backers that we already have , get 1,000 backers to ask just 13 of their friends or family members to like the facebook page . We just need 13k facebook likes . i already invited over 200 facebook friends to like exploding kittens facebook page . Or we can ask fellow backers of other projects to like the facebook page , i am sure they would understand the concept of a stretch goal and help us out . They dont have to back anything , just like a page .
