The NSFW Deck will now officially be a complete stand-alone game. 56 Cards that function exactly the same as the standard deck but with NSFW artwork to that we couldn't put in a deck you'd play in civilized company. You can play the NSFW deck with up to four players, or combine ANY TWO decks together to play with up to 8 players. (Yup, we've updated the rules of the standard deck to accommodate 8 players with two decks as well!)

Hmmm, my take was the base game, regular deck, has four EK cards. The NSFW deck has zero ... maybe I am interpreting I t wrongly? If so, then each base deck, and each NSFW deck, will have four EK cards, making eight total EK cards for the two decks.

Now, that we unlocked the special two deck box I'm concerned that one friend won't have a box for their game.

On the underside of the lidfor the box that holds the 2 decks, it looks like there is a pocket for instructions and the Exploding Kitten cards. Grab which deck you want to use and add the EK's to it.

However, you could always just swap decks and give one person a double of the NSFW kit. Then give the kid friendly give 2 kid friendly decks.

Hello everyone. I need your help organizing the Fact Sheet. It seems that many of our newer members have chosen to be non-human although I have placed them in with the humans because they are KittenCorps members. It seems that the Humans/Nonhumand s categorization is no longer valid.
Also, MeowMix has claimed a mouse, which technically is not a Mutatten, as a minion. It just seems wrong to classify it as a hitten, but it is clearly not a nuppy. Where should we place species like mice and chickens?

Well, if Elan wrote it, it could be a clarification after discussions with the team over the mix of cards in the NSFW deck? I always assumed that the 56 cards in the NSFW deck would be expansionary, not utile as stand-alone.
On the underside of the lidfor the box that holds the 2 decks, it looks like there is a pocket for instructions and the Exploding Kitten cards. Grab which deck you want to use and add the EK's to it.
I think he simply misunderstood Luke's question and gave some options how to achieve the distribution of the decks Luke has intended.

Yeah, Luke is reading his response wrong. The NSFW is stand alone playable. It's just not stand alone purchasable.
I just tweeted requesting a clarification of the nsfw deck's playability.
English is not my first language, but I do get the gist of the email exchange well enough, meaning the NSFW can not be purchased stand alone. It is pretty clear it can be played alone. Otherwise the sharing option would not make any sense at all.
If you want more decks you can't just order NSFW decks for $20. You need to spend $35 and get both decks again.

I do see your conundrum though Luke. Splitting decks for gifts and having one person without a box could be a problem.
However, you could always just swap decks and give one person a double of the NSFW kit. Then give the kid friendly give 2 kid friendly decks.

It's more that you mis-wrote it then. The question focuses more on the lack of a box to another person in my opinion, when regarding your purchase. I get little indication that you're concerned that the NSFW deck is stand alone playable.
I think Luke's inquiry and arguement on here is totally legit, and I would think the same thing after receiving that response. We shouldn't jump on the attack. I get both sides. I think clarification needs to be had from creators.
Every indication I get from that Update on page 2 is that the NSFW deck is completely stand alone and perfectly playable by itself.

Hello everyone. I need your help organizing the Fact Sheet. It seems that many of our newer members have chosen to be non-human although I have placed them in with the humans because they are KittenCorps members. It seems that the Humans/Nonhumand s categorization is no longer valid.
Also, MeowMix has claimed a mouse, which technically is not a Mutatten, as a minion. It just seems wrong to classify it as a hitten, but it is clearly not a nuppy. Where should we place species like mice and chickens?
i am leaning towards a misunderstanding on the conversation that luke had. It clearly states on the story page in big letters, that the NSFW deck is now a stand alone deck. But you will need to purchase both decks in order to play the NSFW deck.
Elan's response was clearly not eu friendly.

And wow, I just checked the story page. Regular deck backers has increased by about 400 -- but NSFW backers has increased by 25K -- seems that's the option everyone wants.

Cheetah butt- I think we - as a corps - need to help the newcomers in clarifying Their nicknames, minions, etc- so as to not create confusion and ... Crossbreedin confusion.
