I'm thinking of getting a second deck so I can use the 2nd box for other cards I've gotten which don't have good boxes but I expect to use a lot... Does that make sense?

I am just looking to help anyway I can. I totally get the blind link thing. He started the campaign to raise $19,000 on January 15. Only has raised a mere $2,440. So you see why I am trying to help them. This here fundraiser is making people rich just because of the cool concept. Cancer is far from cool, but I care to put a spotlight on it anyway I can. The guy who is doing it does not even know I did this. I am just doing my 2 cents worth.

I never did a Kickstarter only a supporter as I am here. Did not know the rules. Sorry for trying to help someone who really needs it. My apologies. Carry on about your salt discussion. :(
Kickstarter specifically prohibits sharing of other projects/sites on a campaign. In addition it is promotion even if it's not your project. I understand you want to help a friend with cancer but popping into places you haven't built a relationship and dropping links is not the way to do it.
I don't mean to be rude or cold. I'm a social media coach. I'm giving basic advice here. You have to build relationships/raport with people before asking them to go look at something and donate money to a cause. You also need to learn the rules and unspoken culture of each social media you are on.

No plastic cards, PACG. They have said they are using who ever makes the cards for Cards Against Humanity -- they will be cellulose based cards ... paper, cardstock, whatever you call it.

First off Al, Elan isn't getting rich from this campaign. He might after it is over and he hooks up with a toy company. And if so, so what? He worked hard to create this so the spoils go to him and the crew. Why not bring is to real rich people like the players on your local football team who make millions per contract? Or Bill Gates? Warren Buffet is still rich, I hear. So is Beyoncé. Anyone of them will do.
Most of us do not want plastic cards. I guess we could ask Elan to do a survey to be sure that backers want real cards not plastic. You know @PACG you could get your cards laminated once you recieve them. I'm not sure they'd fit in the box afterward though... Something to think about.

I don't think there was any issue with you popping in for a little convinced and mentioning the situation. But the link is against the comments section rules. But when ABG got salty with us just because he wouldn't automatically support this fund raiser and pointed out that the link was against the rules, then I say all bets are off. Yes, I would have reported him. Can you imagine if tons of other people filled the comments thread asking for money for different causes? Besides, how do we know that this cause is legit?
If I'm going to support a cancer cause, it will be for kids. They haven't had a chance to grow up and I don't mind trying to give them that chance.
