@Blondie - people had to do the request properly for a place to be included & they had to see it. So maybe no one requested any place in LA following the rules?

It seems they had SOME shelters in mind for pizza before they announced the rules to us about how to get shelters pizza parties so I'm just curious how they decided on those initial shelters in other states/countries versus a local one nearby to them

Hi Quack! Unfortunately I don't have a storefront just yet - i take private orders, catering, etc. For a long time you could have gotten most of my desserts at the cafe in Dylan's Candy Bar - but I had to cut back from there because it was taking over my life.

I'm thinking the update document just isn't fully updated. 14 places out of the many I say on Twitter seems odd. I personally got word from one place and from EK that they were "on the list" the other day.

@Potatten - I know all the info is in the update that was ONLY POSTED WITHIN THE LAST HALF HOUR, my point is IN THAT UPDATE, before ANYONE KNEW THE RULES, they ALREADY HAD SHELTERS PICKED OUT!
Was this happening on twitter before the update? My twitter was only for the drinking game so if this is an "obviously it's been all over twitter" thing I don't know about it which is why I'm asking HOW did they choose those INITIAL shelters from the update before any backers could make suggestions?
Am I taking crazy pills or does this make sense? It's very cyclical reasoning to say "the rules are in update #14 duh, in which they already had a list of shelters posted!" ...implying that list was in place before the rules were ever seen so....how? Is my question that is seemingly silly lol

The rules were posted 2 days ago on Twitter. Unfortunately my iPad is still having problems so it will take a few minutes for my computer to boot up before I can grab the tweet link to post here. The creators are very Twitter focused and not big on sharing same info on Kickstarter or elsewhere :(

Well, still, it is still money they are spending on a good cause, so it is worth it. I was guessing $40 per shelter for two pizza, so at 14 places, that's $560

@Blondie - i also think they had to limit the number of shelters involved. They may continue to add throughout the day as they get confirmation, etc. It's a lot of work to contact each shelter, confirm that they want the party, then find a pizza place in teh neighborhood, confirming delivery time... I have a hard enough time ordering pizza in my own neighborhood. Imagine doing it across the country.

Like I get that they are into twitter most but they have the least followers there so it seems the worst place to give the info out initially, the Facebook page would have gotten way more attention, but now it's here in a proper update I'm glad everyone will hopefully be able to see it before too late!

I think once "we" tweeted suggested or nominated shelters to the EK team, they reached out to the shelters and made arrangements. I am betting many shelters did not RSVP and are thus not on the lists, even if we did try to get them there.

Well the update can't be updated without an update 15. and since people can still submit and get the pizza all day, I doubt the list is accurate.
I would almost open to make sure due to this event.....
