I doubt I would ever go back into production again. I do one-offs now for folks who are willing to pay, and whose projects interest and entice me.
I love helping people make their dreams come true. And being bedridden and frequently unable to stay focused on anything for more than a day or two I can't do anything useful with my life so this is my way of feeling less like a parasite on society. Seriously many of those are at $1. But yeah I've backed way too many projects. I'm a Kickstarter addict.

Also - When i backed something indulgent, I donated the same amount to a charity or cause. When I backed this game, I donated to the Humans of New York campaign that was helping the school in Brooklyn in the most violent neighborhood in the city. It was a beautiful story.

Cha! -Thanks. I don't have much money to throw around, I'm still waiting tables while waiting for my business to grow - but mama always raised me to donate and be charitable. It's addicting and fun.
@Cha: Yeah, but one of the groups(Allegory Handcrafted Goods) makes things that are actually used in day to day life. I have like 6-7 pens from them(all handcrafted wood pens, from reclaimed/historical wood), 2 wallets, 2 Moleskin notebook covers, and a set of 6 dice each made from different woods(and another 5 sets on the way from another project they did).

I cried too honestly, also I REALLY didn't think the Freaker sock campaign would make it, I upped my pledge the final day and they got something like…half the funding they needed in the final 48 hours? Which was like 100k+ so considering the COMPLETE lack of momentum after the 3rd day of their campaign was shocking to see, but mad me super happy too, that's a creator you really want to see succeed (and then watch a video of him celebrating because he's awesome and insane lol)
