I do private orders, wedding cakes, etc. You used to be able to get a lot of my desserts at Dylan's Candy Bar - but it was taking over my life (if you saw the story about me screaming at a traffic cop in midtown - - i was a wreck).... So i had to step down from that.

It implies that, after sending decks out in July, that EK doesn't expect to have the game on shelves in 2015. This implies 2016 as the earliest date to buy it in stores.

Pretty much just says in X amount of time "our lovely little game will no longer be available to the general public (Not for a very long time anyway)" so that wording is scary and causing some people (me…) to up their pledge in order to ensure spiffy copies for friends ^_^

@PoT, with the quantity of backer rewards that need to be produced, it is reasonable to assume that initial production will be concentrated on fulfilling those rewards before offering them to the general public, so people who want them sooner should pledge now.

I don't feel bad about not buying copies for friends. Having the only copy means that if we want to play EK, it's an excuse for me to plan the get-together, and have people over, so more time with my friends.
You could easily turn it into an Exploding Kittens game, the tutorial shows you how the change the images and sounds :)

Oh, I'm not worried. Even if they get delayed. I primarily backed this project because the reputations of the creators gave me enough assurance that the project would be completed. Basically I didn't see this as a gamble, it's a sure thing in my opinion.

I know I will keep one copy super pristine and never use it as the super rare KS version, another I will give to my gaming group as I know we/they will love playing it
BUT as the last KS game I gifted them somehow lost HALF the pieces before I even got to play it a second time…(and this was a box signed by the creators too…LESSON LEARNED) I am getting a 3rd now for my own personal use that I don't have to worry about getting wrecked by friends haha
