I rarely come into the comments, and even though, Didn't know about that (although assumed that promoting another KS campaign was not cool) - and since it's not a KS campaign but asking for help for his own cat - i don't see anything wrong with it.

I've never really commented on a KS campaign, usually just asking the odd question...or calling out people who failed to adherer to the rules about actually delivering on getting the backers what they pledge for, but instead giving them the middle finger. I actually never read the ToS...or anything about being respectful and considerate....just in my nature to naturally be respectful/considerate.
The average Kickstarter backer doesn't know many of the rules of use. Heck most don't read the words next to and under the comment box. Finding the rules around Kickstarter is difficult. Many repeat creators don't know all the rules they are bound by and some make mistakes. There is a way to do "donation" versions of your pledges but figuring out how is difficult. This site could use a major overhaul for its FAQ section IMHO.

@Geist: Sorry if it came off as me saying you were doing that. It was in reference to two projects I backed(and were successfully funded - one back on December 23, 2012[creator is sending replacements for items he NEVER sent to backers just this month] and one that was successful Nov 23, 2012[last update was May 2013 saying the rewards were in...never shipped, no response from creator]). Those two projects were creators giving their backers, and supporters of their dream, the middle finger and handing nothing out that was promised(KS didn't even do anything to help us).
