KittenCorps has the full ok from the creators of Exploding Kittens to help promote this game. The Oatmeal drew our logo. We are talking about/promoting /and spreading the awesomeness of this game. That link I posted was about this game and its promotion. Not about promoting another project. Even though the counter is over, there is a pledge manager that will show up to confirm what each backer is getting. Usually there is an opportunity to up your pledge. So in actuality, it's still possible for the EK team to make more money. And if they are millionaires because of this, huzzah to them.

I think that there's something mind-numbing to consider here. Kickstarter just got $435,000 deposited in their bank account from this campaign....that is astounding!! My mind is blown!
I'm not grudging them the cash. It's just that when there are campaigns that bring in a few thousand dollars and they get a few hundred that's one thing. But for a campaign to pay it's host almost half a million smackeroos?!?!

When we were playing the original version of the game, instead of a kitten there was a bomb card, so the whole time we played everyone was stressing and worrying about "the bomb." I thought it'd be funnier to make the bomb a kitten instead, that way you wind up with a room full of people all living in fear of a kitten.
