PoT - The key is to get up as soon as possible afterwards and start working the joint. This way you can breakdown the scar tissue. It will be painful but you have to push through it.

PoT - You will be glad you have the new knee. My mother is thankful for her two new knees. Seperate operations. During the rehab on the first I saw several people who had both knees done at the same time. That looked painful.

Yeah, they told me I'll be walking late on Monday. That's also what the machine I just got fitted for is supposed to help with, it's a range of motion machine. So you won't be seeing me on Monday, try to control your weeping.

PoT - The machine is good. My mother called me Nurse Ratchet after One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest. I did not let her skip any exercises and the full range of motion was recovered.

PoT - You will want a long towel and a flat cookie sheet to help with the exercises. This way you can lay in bed on your back and use the cookie sheet as a slick surface to pull the leg back on.

My mom would lay in bed and do her 5 or 6 different exercises. The hardest one was to bend your knee. In doing this one we would put the cookie sheet under her heel and put the towel around the bottom of her foot and she would hold the ends in each hand. This way she could help bend it more and not have her heel catch on the bed.
