Some of them have been hammering at it for over an hour and it never dawns on them that it might be easier if they would wait a while. I don't know if the reward tiers are set to favor those who upgrade earlier though, so Pebble might have brought this whole thing on themselves.

The one thing going for the Pebble TIme that differentiates it from other smart watches is the color e-ink screen, which most of the people who have pledged probably don't even realize it has. They just see "color Pebble" and think it will be LCD. I hope they're not too disappointed when they receive their watches.
I'm going to see if I can snag one of the abandoned Early Bird rewards.

I got to the confirmation screen, then I got an email that said I didn't get the EB in time, then I got an email saying "Thanks for Backing," then I went to the project page and it sid "You're a Backer," then I clicked on "Manage My Pledge," then I got a message saying that my pledge is still processing and that I should please try again later. We'll see whether or not I got it after everything processes through.
Unless they pre-produced everything, which would be another BIG reason for them to not be on KS, they shouldn't have locked the numbers. I get it from a marketing perspective, but it creates much more hubbub than is actually really there in the first place. I can understand limiting a special category or item, but that isn't what they're doing. They locked out all but the most expensive and least [bargainous] of the lot.

@Geist, I'm not worried. The Pebble Time KS page says that I have chosen the EB reward and the number available keeps increasing rather than decreasing. I'll just keep an eye on it in case something changes when all of the database transactions have caught up. If I didn't get it this time, I'll just wait until KS catches up before trying again. If there are no more available by that time and I still don't have an EB, then it was not meant to be.

At least I can now say that I backed two of the top four projects. I expect Exploding Kittens to be way funner though. It would be interesting if they sent out user satisfaction surveys for both projects in about a year. I think EK will turn out to be the clear winner.

Yep! I also added that I knew you were a hard-working, honest creator and are part of the "good creators" on kickstarter- and that I couldn't imagine hand-carving each and every one of those boxes!
I'm not saying they're hurting other project creators. The only thing they really do is bring revenue to KS though. They might bring people to kickstarter, but it's not much more than a coke commercial. It's advertising they're making money off of, rather than spending money on. It still branches away from their mission statements.
