DDD, if there's a really well written, great meaningful story, do it. Otherwise, kids love comedy. Basically, whichever is easier for you to produce and still make it well to do it justice.
@DDD- I see your point. Wanting to stay true to what the kid had in mind. I do remember writing something a long time ago and i thought it was beautiful and epic,etc. I re-read it years later and realized that so much of it was in my imagination and not put down well in writing. But as Zem said - if they've conveyed the imagery well - go for it!

I repeatedly said, "Ok, the remainder of the bill is $blah, but that does not include the gratuity" and pointed to the suggested grat. they kept saying, "yeah, we'll leave it on the table."
They were there for 40 minutes trying to pay the bill. None of his guests even offered to chip in, but the parents and grandparents were all pissy. His card finally worked at an ATM... but seriously... i ... ok- my neck is tightening. Happy thoughts!

That's how bad what I just realized is. I haven't done my lab for this week, including several charts and calculations and the works with half an hour of time to work between now and then.

Also, looks like they are forcing people to play with money in the game too. You either have to give someone $1, or kiss another person on the cheek. Don't know about you all, but most of my friends would rather give the first person $1 million than kiss another(mostly all the guys would rather give the money).

@Cheetah: I just read that part about a "network of printers that I have on call from when I work on political campaigns that can print thousands and thousands of items in no time". Definitely not going to be even half decent quality.
I've backed worse projects. Besides, I can now ask all of the hard questions in the comments. If anyone else pledges, please join me so we can sniff out whether this game is legit.

If it actually does reach its funding goal (which is unlikely at this point) It will be fun to compare the playability of both games. I doubt that this one has even been play tested yet.

KickStarter does require at least a working prototype prior to starting the campaign. The art so far is OK, but I'd at least like to se a photo of a proto deck. Shouldn't be that hard to do without revealing EVERY card.

Just be careful with pushing too hard, so you're not blocked like GCoD was. Look, this guy may legitimately think that it's ok to do what he's doing. That changing enough things will protect him from IP infringement. I don't think it's ok what he's doing - and as potatten said - all the artwork was taken from internets as well. But let's not all go over there with pitchforks and torches!

So, question. If you back a campaign that never gets funded, does your backer total go up? Because that seems like a loophole that can elevate your status very quickly.
I know, I'm not saying it's permissible. And KS should be notified, but I just didn't want people going over and attacking the hell out of him right out the gate. Make him aware of the issue first, educate.... THEN decimate.

Just be careful with pushing too hard, so you're not blocked like GCoD was. Look, this guy may legitimately think that it's ok to do what he's doing. That changing enough things will protect him from IP infringement. I don't think it's ok what he's doing - and as potatten said - all the artwork was taken from internets as well. But let's not all go over there with pitchforks and torches!
So, question. If you back a campaign that never gets funded, does your backer total go up? Because that seems like a loophole that can elevate your status very quickly.
