Day three of microwave kettle corn as a snack. This time, though, it's different. Because this time... this time there's milk. This changes everything.
Milk goes great with nearly everything, especially anything with any sort of dairy ingredients. I probably started milk with popcorn with our real, stovetop, extra salty and buttery popcorn and now it's just associated with all but theater/concessions popcorn, which need a dark pop.

I was good friends with my spanish teacher from an hour's train ride from barcelona. He didn't really follow either team, but people OUTside of spain look forward to this game at least as much as the world cup finals. So when I go in to see him this week and have coffee before his first class and make 2nd hour feel jealous of coffee, I know at least the first day of talking with him will be entirely about that game. This is a long comment. Kinda makes me look like a *football* snob. I wish.

We say america. Actually, most people don't say usa much unless to specify. And I have a hard time in theaters or even sometimes just movies without popcorn. It's the quintessential movie snack. The only competitor is ice cream, but for serving size popcorn is way healthier. Or less bad for you, really. The milk helps too.

In Europe we get taught, America is the 2 continents, then you have North America (United States of America + Canada) and South America. I'm not sure how people look at that from within the US, I don't consider myself Canadian yet, far from actually... I'm still getting used to all these new things.

As for the popcorn I like popcorn with a movie, I worked in the 2nd largest cinema of the Netherlands in Amsterdam and I didn't mind working with popcorn or eating it during movies. It's just the smell of the butter and popcorn combined that I cannot stand, we mainly have Sweet and Salt flavoured popcorn in the Netherlands. Sometimes you can get fancy with Chocolate or Caramel popcorn but you don't see that a lot.

Day three of microwave kettle corn as a snack. This time, though, it's different. Because this time... this time there's milk. This changes everything.
Milk goes great with nearly everything, especially anything with any sort of dairy ingredients. I probably started milk with popcorn with our real, stovetop, extra salty and buttery popcorn and now it's just associated with all but theater/concessions popcorn, which need a dark pop.
I'm not a huge fan of popcorn, but you're making me crave it.
We would make literal bucketloads of popcorn for my 6-person family on movie nights. It's sOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooo good!

In Europe we get taught, America is the 2 continents, then you have North America (United States of America + Canada) and South America. I'm not sure how people look at that from within the US, I don't consider myself Canadian yet, far from actually... I'm still getting used to all these new things.
As for the popcorn I like popcorn with a movie, I worked in the 2nd largest cinema of the Netherlands in Amsterdam and I didn't mind working with popcorn or eating it during movies. It's just the smell of the butter and popcorn combined that I cannot stand, we mainly have Sweet and Salt flavoured popcorn in the Netherlands. Sometimes you can get fancy with Chocolate or Caramel popcorn but you don't see that a lot.
Here, nobody cares. USA is America, Canada is Canada, sometimes Canadia, and anything south of America is Mexico. Just kidding, Central America, which is part of north america, and below panama is south america.
