I just spent 30min in a "Meet and Greet" meeting. Since I'm in payroll, I know pretty much all the new people(even though I handle the US side of things). The little game we played, guessing who does what, was actually kind of interesting.
@Potatten: Not everyone pops in for a visit. We haven't seen over half the Corp for the past few weeks...it's kind of sad that they don't come visit us more often.
Where's trinkets and tchotchke when i need them? I can't decide- i like the water gun grenades -but shipping might cut close. wish i knew where it was coming from. Also - snap bracelets.. because i like them.
...That's awesome. And tricky. I couldn't get into the street I wanted, so I got killed.

So I'm designing the hot water for this house, and they need 42gpm of hot water! For a 10 minute shower they need to have 600 us gallons of hot water stored! I think someone will have some 'splaining to do!

@PoT, we do our best to not call them on demand, rather we call them tankless, and I personally call them crap. They may work well in warmer climates, but here in Calgary, you only get around 5gpm @ 110F, for this job I'd need 9 of them, all rocking at 200000 btus and hour, that would be almost 2000000 btus for all of them! Pay that gas bill and like it...
BaKhan - went with grenade water guns. Will hand them to guests as they leave. Or threaten their life. I'm good with both. :) I shall threaten the plague of a thousand red velvet mites on their house!
@Topaz: Still in July, they haven't announced any changes. This means up until the end of July for everyone except the chosen few who managed to grab the higher tiers, who will get their stuff sometime in August I believe.
78. I messaged the event coordinator at the Bierhaus and asked her what her advice is on all the extra people. If they'd like them to hang at bar, grab tables, etc. What I think is ideal for me - i have the two big tables where the four games can go on. I have a couple of friends that will help me with that. That's already 20-some odd people. I don't think 80 people will actually show, and if they do- not all at once.
Ya. was not expecting that many. Kinda floored. Kinda panicked. But - these are all exploding kitten loving people and hopefully will be cool if it gets too busy.

I saw Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead a long time ago, and hot fuzz several times since; it's one of my favorite movies of all time. Also need to watch The Treasure of the Sierra Madre because it's the origin of the Stinking Badges quote.
