welp, half an hour left to teach myself something I can't learn because it's impossible to find concentration from numbers that don't attach in any way to the first graph of the blank.
So basically I have to find a way to find the concentration of a solution from the amount of light that went through it. With no equations or anything. Just the uncooperative slightly helpful internet.

I printed survey links on a std. piece of paper and cut in between them so they were still attached to the page then just put it on a table beside me.
I wish you could have seen the face of the guy running the joint when I whipped out a deck of EK. He looked like he'd just seen a unicorn (I guess he kinda did) I didn't tell anyone I was coming. He was so grateful he begged me to come back after my party on Satuday and bring more decks. I told him I'd do what I could.

If you haven't played yet you really need to do so. First game (with four complete noobs including me) took about 25-30 min. After that even five player games didn't go more than 20, even the ones with 4 noobs, once I had figured it out.

Zem, what does your solution consist of? If it's something like water and dirt then the amount of light passing through should be a ratio of dirt particles to water. If you know the substance then you can find out the spectrum absorption of it and thus calculate that if a 100% light passes through the clear solution, then 70% light passing through a murky solution should be because of 15% of the matter in the solution (2x the spectrum absorption factor)

I played every combination of numbers ecept three players. The one on one was probably the most fun, because of all the cards in each hand there was the widest array of possible plays, although oddly that was a longer game to finish. Four and five players are about the same although I think five is one too many due to reduced play options because of the number of cards in the deck.

Trust me after 3 hours of working on this *stuff* now; it's not nearly as simple as it seems. I have everything I need, just can't find the concentration of the unknown solution from the molar absorptivity which I can then use to find the moles to find the mass to find the mass%. If I can just find the connection between absorption and molarity, I'm good. But now it's bedtime.

The waitlist is printed and ready to go, and now i'm printed out directions, taping them to cardstock, and putting them in plastic sleeves (SLEEVES!!!) for the table.

His reaction? Oh. Okay. Whatever. I was disappointed to say the least. As I was getting ready to put the deck away the guy in charge came around a corner. He took one look at the deck in my hand and nearly lost his shit. THAT was the reaction I was looking for. Go to the #kittenconsul Twitter feed or my event page on FB.
