I was at a playtest last night in Vancouver BC (Canada) and was able to purchase an auctioned deck at the end of the night. Nice to have before my kickstarter order arrives. The cards did very well, and show no significant signs of wear after a night of use. I think most of the players were being reasonably careful, but they were definitely played with. In the complete deck, there are a couple of marks on the back. However, nothing that would be noticeable during game play. There are one or two edges where it is showing some white. The cards might be better with a white border on the back rather than having the colour go to the edges. From the complete deck there is one corner with a slight crease. Not bad for a night of serious play.
Mine were sleeved since beginning, in these boxes they dont fit in thight sleeves and MtG sleeves are bit too big for them, during the gaming 2 sleeves got ripped from one corner so they got some shuffling done on them.
@Potatten: Pretty boring waiting for approvals. Going through a report I ran from one system, to see which employees are in that system, then 2 more reports from the other, and cross checking to see which need to be added/removed from the first system. Very long, and tedious, job. -.-
@GCoD: Yeah, I could...but then it would involve possibly staining them again...and since I'm not very good with power tools(knives yes, power tools not so much), I would probably end up damaging myself. Though...I could probably hire my friend to modify it if need be, he is a carpenter by trade...

@GM, If you mainly have normal sized dice, and a few larger dice, don't narrow the whole divider -- just trim the ends so it can sit off-set to the slot and then let the dividers float a bit to allow the larger dice to nest in. Or just remove one divider towards the bottom, and let that double space be the area for the Root Dice, and anything like d20's that may be larger.
@GCoD: As I have 7 sets of 6 dice for the root dice, I will probably end up playing around with it to figure out how best to put them in there. Each die being 3/4 of an inch, rather than the standard size the plastic ones are(1/2 inch I believe).
Jeff "Great Cane of Doom"™ Saxton 2015-04-14T19:13:36-04:00
16mm dice would measure just over 5/8" in imperial -- so you'll have to fudge around some, but looking at his design, it looks like removing one divider will allow you to have enough room for two rows of Root dice -- they could be tight though. Remove four dividers, and you may be able to fit all 42 inside the five opened slots.
Jeff "Great Cane of Doom"™ Saxton 2015-04-14T19:20:25-04:00
He just gave dimensions on the boxes -- says the slots are just about 3/4" -- so maybe it will fit your Root Dice with a minor mod.

Seems the OVI Dice guy cancelled his own campaign, then restarted it anew to avoid our comments. Geist nailed him though ... then I piled on. Obvious scammer is obvious?
@GCoD: Yeah, it has grown rather peaceful in here of late. No streaking evil "lords", not much tidal activity from visiting whales, even the muppets haven't been in much.
Gee, that doesn't set off an alarm bell at all. He couldn't possibly be the same scammer and trying to use the same general dice design he already previously discovered from 3,000 years ago to score tens of dollars.
It's going well. Just finished out the last bit of taxes I have to deal with this year earlier this week, at least until August anyway. It got really busy really quick, but now it should taper back off for at least a little bit.
@Julio: Since we haven't heard any deviations from the original plan, it should be shipping sometime in July.
Jeff "Great Cane of Doom"™ Saxton 2015-04-15T14:32:56-04:00
If there's any doubt that Ovi Dice is really the Lix Dice guy, he's now saying something about a 3000 year old god of luck ... it sounds familiar again, and again

Geez, on the "Dice Display Box" comments thread, folks are continually asking the creator to essentially make custom products, varying what he is offering in the actual KS campaign ...
Well you could always learn to read it. I'm not that great at reading it, but I still nailed the subject from the text you posted. You can always look up the more important bits.
And people just want want want without really thinking much about it anymore GCoD. It is a transaction so they COULD get their way under normal circumstances, this however is KS.
Jeff 2015-04-15T15:46:45-04:00
Ya know, I was thinking. How about a sequel to Asplode Kitteh's... Asplode Doge!!!!
Someone tried it, they didn't seem to make it very far.
Jeff 2015-04-15T15:59:58-04:00
Oh, yeah, I saw that. ; p
-
I meant for Elan and team to make it. It could be about the Kitteh's trying to Asplode the Doge, and you have to try and stop them.
@GCoD: Yeah, people always want something that isn't being offered. I'm going to be happy with what I pledged for. Sure I may need to slightly modify the dividers to fit my Root Dice, but that's something I can live with. Or I can keep them in the packaging they originally came in, inside the DDB.
Jeff "Great Cane of Doom"™ Saxton 2015-04-15T18:15:08-04:00
I can't tell, Google Translate uses 'simplified' and traditional' as their choices. I can do the translations well enough, but the buttons to contact the seller don't seem to exist so I can't ask them a direct question. Amazon.de does the same, you can't auto ship outside of the EU. I suspect China has similar limitations.
Jeff "Great Cane of Doom"™ Saxton 2015-04-15T18:16:06-04:00

Ooops, SO#1 just got home, time for dinner. Greek food tonight!!
The cards are 2.47" (62.74mm) x 3.50" (88.90mm)
So how is everyone?
But will the sleeves fit in the box? Oh the humanity (EU friendly of course...)!
Alas, There won't be any knowing until we get them.
merp.

@GCoD: I need to stop looking at the projects you backed...that dice box is beautiful.
How goes thy day GM?

Blegh, that sucks.
That dice box is pretty sweet, especially at the price he is making it.
My wallet still hates you for it. I'm just wondering how nicely my Root Dice will fit into it..still getting the box though.
The dividers are removable, so if your Root Dice are a little larger, you could thin several dividers to allow them to fit easier?
@GCoD: Yeah, I could...but then it would involve possibly staining them again...and since I'm not very good with power tools(knives yes, power tools not so much), I would probably end up damaging myself. Though...I could probably hire my friend to modify it if need be, he is a carpenter by trade...

Awh, geist was there? Tell her to stop by! We miss her!
Woohoo! I cant wait to save some kittens from explosions!
HUZZAH!!! EAT ALL THE CATNIP SANDWICHES!
Alright, but a quick question, did they not send out the survey or it somehow avoided me in mystical ways of the internet?
They did not send it out yet, Joanna - don't fret! Will send it closer to the ship date. :) But if you are ever unsure- just check back here!
How is everyone this morning?
Well, here's to another day....why is there coffee in my whiskey cup?
Morning cocktail just for you!
Made me think of Creeper: https://www.facebook.com/altonbrown/posts/1060024004027207
This place has really gone quiet of late ... no more wild parties for us, I suppose.
@GCoD: Yeah, it has grown rather peaceful in here of late. No streaking evil "lords", not much tidal activity from visiting whales, even the muppets haven't been in much.
It is certainly a lull. But the spammers left so that was bound to happen.
I got a private message from the guy running the Ovi Dice campaign; he said "I was expecting you".
It's nice to be appreciated and wanted ;>)
Gee, that doesn't set off an alarm bell at all. He couldn't possibly be the same scammer and trying to use the same general dice design he already previously discovered from 3,000 years ago to score tens of dollars.
Good morning kittens! Taxes finished at 3 am! Huzzah!
Saw your post, Potatten- I love it!
I wonder if idle/wild has cooked up anything new and tasty.
She did support an interesting KS: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1389924514/innovative-mini-burger-press-and-freezer-container
Oh wait that's Geist! I haven't heard from Tsveta in some time... maybe she got snowed in by taxes?
So how are you doing today Creeper?
Im good! I just sat out and got some sun therapy, until there were too many bees floating around for me to relax...
Last day of training at possible new job tonight- I'm so nervous! They decide if they want to take me on tonight.
Best of luck Creeper! I hope you get it!
Thank you! How's your week so far?
It's going well. Just finished out the last bit of taxes I have to deal with this year earlier this week, at least until August anyway. It got really busy really quick, but now it should taper back off for at least a little bit.
This is with your job?
Correct :)
Sound like so much fun
...It's gotten too quiet. Whose up to no good? That's all that it could mean.
When is this shipping?
Clearly some one is a foot.

I thought they were Chinese ancient dice not Greek ancient dice.... though he did alter the design to make it look less conspicuous.
I wonder how LZ is doing as of late?
I love Google Translate! Just successfully navigated through Amazon Japan and found another really rare book I have wanted. Of course, I really had to pay for it, but oh well, such is collecting.
日本の森林鉄道 (上巻) (単行本) by 小熊 米雄 (著)
rydyn ni gwrthdystio erbyn y cyffredin
Something about a heavily wooded road in japan? Does it deal with trains as I suspect?
It's supposedly the definitive history of all the logging railroads in Japan ...
with a focus on the actual locomotives used on said railroads
I read it as Japan's forest wood iron road, so is it train tracks?
Oh you answered my question already....
The actual title and author are: "On the Steam Locomotives of Forest Railways in Japan, by Oguma Yoneo
First published in 1961, this is the revised 1988 edition.
Oh ok.
Suitably esoteric, I know ...

@Jeff: Who would want to do that? Let them "Asplode", as you put it, the Doge.
Read Japanese? I don't know if my old eyes are up to the task. I can recognize certain words now, like Tetsudo ... but beyond that ...
Now if I could just navigate the Chinese version of Amazon as neatly ...
Is it Cantonese, or Mandarin?
I can't tell, Google Translate uses 'simplified' and traditional' as their choices.
