Cigarettes (or something in them) are indeed an appetite suppressant, the problem being that when you don't smoke you tend to get very hungry very quickly. So you'd have to smoke all the time to not be THAT hungry. Your body will override that at some point as self preservation kicks in. But if I have to skip lunch a couple of cigarettes will help me hold out until I get home.

I just want to say, this whole pledgemanager thing is incredibly annoying.
First: The implication that I won't get my rewards at all if I don't fill in the survey by a certain deadline (that's just a few days away) is crazy, doubly so if true.
Second: Why do I have to remember (or figure out) what rewards I picked? Why can't that be prefilled? I made my decision when I backed the project. It's nice that you give me the opportunity to change it, but at least fill in what I chose...
Third: The one-time token thing is crazy too. I started on my phone and decided to switch to my computer when I realized how complicated it was going to be. Now I have to wait for a new e-mail (which is taking way longer than it should too)? Or go do other things and then have to remember to come back to this...

As you do not answer to mails: Why is shipping higher then at backing time? If you put on additional features that make the packages heavier or bigger, then this is only nice as long as i do not have to pay additional for shipping!
After the first try, where your side (not my card) seemed to have troubles with creditcard payments, i did not get an answer but today an email "you have not done, hurry" without anny comment or regrets. Ok, creditcard payments now work, but they would not have been necessary, if you would not have set shipping higher without any announcement or giving reasons!

"regarding moving house and unsure of delivery address during the month of June/July: "What we recommend is to send your order to a trustworthy person that can hold your decks just to be safe. A couple of people have messaged us with the same issue and they said they'd ship it to their office at work. Some people in the US have called FedEx and asked if they could pick up their order from one of their stores."
The shipping will most likely start in July and will take some time to get to you depending on where in the world you are. I am expecting mine to arrive in late July due to the fact that I live in South Africa. If you live in the USA it should get there in the first week hopefully.

Shipping was an estimate and it has been said in previous updates that if you add more decks then shipping will most likely increase. It has always been a known factor.
I ordered 5 decks and backed @ a $20 shipping level, when the survey came out I had to pay an additional $24 for the five decks, that works out to ~$9 shipping per deck for an overseas delivery, which is very respectable in my experience. For the same size and weight item form somewhere like amazon.com I would have to pay $23 in shipping.
We are trying to help the EK team in answering questions and I hope I have answered yours.

Ideally, laptops w/ WiFi, and travel printers, and scanners, but 200+ of those tend to cost. Although tablets are more efficient now, and cost less.
Your usual day to day timecard. That is what we need. The date, the hours worked, the job, the name of the person, the week ending date, and position. Then the managers sign off. No hard to do. Don't even need start/end times(which I think is screwing us over honestly)

We had a similar system. We only had about 25 people on the road at a time. It was a third party program/service. It was for laptops, not smart phones. It helped, as we could have people in Germany, Korea, Australia, ect.

To those complaining about the rise in shipping costs from the initial estimate during the campaign. That was an estimate. Repeat EST-I-MATE. Did you request more than one set of decks? Did something else (like international rates to wherever you are) change? Did the creative team just get it wrong? I don't know, but maybe you do if think about it. My guess is that the designers are not trying to pad their profits by charging you additional shipping fees. I'm sorry it is going to cost you more, but that just looks like the way it is.

Planning for more downhill than uphill and smoother routes will help too. I don't know the area near where you can travel well enough to recommend as non-looping a path as possible though. Looping meaning for very scenic areas and said "return trip" if it's a leave/come back kind of thing I mean.
Does it have to be non-stopish? Going somewhere and seeing stuff would be cool otherwise.

The shipping will most likely start in July and will take some time to get to you depending on where in the world you are. I am expecting mine to arrive in late July due to the fact that I live in South Africa. If you live in the USA it should get there in the first week hopefully.

Shipping was an estimate and it has been said in previous updates that if you add more decks then shipping will most likely increase. It has always been a known factor.
I ordered 5 decks and backed @ a $20 shipping level, when the survey came out I had to pay an additional $24 for the five decks, that works out to ~$9 shipping per deck for an overseas delivery, which is very respectable in my experience. For the same size and weight item form somewhere like amazon.com I would have to pay $23 in shipping.

Also some email addresses have gotten truncated with the export/import from/to Kickstarter to PledgeManager.

(being serious) WiFi and Phone Apps. As (most) everyone has a smart phone. I guess it depends on how much info, and how much detail you need.

Ideally, laptops w/ WiFi, and travel printers, and scanners, but 200+ of those tend to cost. Although tablets are more efficient now, and cost less.
Your usual day to day timecard. That is what we need. The date, the hours worked, the job, the name of the person, the week ending date, and position. Then the managers sign off. No hard to do. Don't even need start/end times(which I think is screwing us over honestly)
You could probably do that with an App then. Just have pre-set fields, and they just have to input info, short and sweet.

We had a similar system. We only had about 25 people on the road at a time. It was a third party program/service. It was for laptops, not smart phones. It helped, as we could have people in Germany, Korea, Australia, ect.
*sigh* I've got to go for a walk. I swear I'm going to lose my shit if I stay in this office one more fucking minute.
We are gearing up to implement something like that, but it's a LONG way off...and we are even acquiring another 300 US staff....which fall into my batch of people to pay.

To those complaining about the rise in shipping costs from the initial estimate during the campaign. That was an estimate. Repeat EST-I-MATE. Did you request more than one set of decks? Did something else (like international rates to wherever you are) change? Did the creative team just get it wrong? I don't know, but maybe you do if think about it. My guess is that the designers are not trying to pad their profits by charging you additional shipping fees. I'm sorry it is going to cost you more, but that just looks like the way it is.

It had been about five years since I had ridden mine. I was recently installed as Assistent Scout Master, and the boys are working on their bicycling merit badge. I'll be doing another 10 miler, a couple of 15's, a 20, and a 50 before they're through.

I don't think I ever did 50 miles on a bike, even when I was a kid and that was my primary mode of transport. Good luck with that.

Well put some time in, as much as you can anyway. You can buy a wider seat and some cushioning too... you can only do so much to make it more comfortable.
Yes, I have plans to get a more butt-friendly seat. The bike seats in the Netherlands are much better than what I've seen here. I wish I could have one of those.

Planning for more downhill than uphill and smoother routes will help too. I don't know the area near where you can travel well enough to recommend as non-looping a path as possible though. Looping meaning for very scenic areas and said "return trip" if it's a leave/come back kind of thing I mean.
Does it have to be non-stopish? Going somewhere and seeing stuff would be cool otherwise.
The scout master said in the past, they've gone to the top of a nearby canyon and biked all the way down, and that took care of the 50. We'll probably do that again.
Oh that would be nice. Make sure you plot it out and ensure it's the route you want to do though.

Ooh, LZ, I remember the 20-miler we did. It was a ton of fun when my butt didn't hurt for days after a 5-mile ride from Scottsbluff to Scott's Bluffs.
