For those asking about what to add for shipping, this is from the FAQ:
"We’re still negotiating on the shipping. We’ll try to get the lowest shipping possible, but for now we don’t want to make any promises we can’t pinky swear on.
For the time being, just use the price for a single deck given to you by the shipping calculator, and we’ll confirm everything before putting your Exploding Kittens in the mail."

It would be awesome if there were drinking game rules that could be added to the nsfw deck.
Keith Glass 2015-01-23T10:05:37-05:00
Special Box ? At the rate we're going on this, I halfway expect the card to arrive in the Ark of the Covenant.
And then I'm gonna need a blindfold, every time I take the cards out of the box. . . (grin)
Chealsey 2015-01-23T10:08:43-05:00
Can the amount/backers goal focus on releasing the game sooner? Because that would be amazing and awesome!
BruceP - The Chameleon 2015-01-23T10:11:04-05:00
@Chealsey,
With how many cards need to be produced and shipped, not likely. :) As it is, most Kickstarters deliver late for one reason or another, so don't be surprised if this one does, too.
Jason Powell 2015-01-23T10:12:53-05:00
that would be awesome... don't go making calendars or t-shirts, something new will just delay production but if you're sitting around thinking, "What the hell am I going to do with all of these 'Praise Jibbers' bumper stickers?" then put them in with the orders until you run out. Can't wait for the game.
Lawrence Seetoh 2015-01-23T10:13:20-05:00
Someday, this will be the biggest MMO card game in the world with everyone above the age of 5 jacked into the holodevices and playing endlessly while an asteroid hurtles across space to destroy us, until then, these cards will do fine.
Good morning everyone. it looks like we are on target to hit 100k backers on Sunday as I had predicted :-)
Tristan Stevens-King 2015-01-23T10:19:26-05:00
For people worried about card quality, they're working with the cards against humanity people so I imagine the quality should be similar. they have a large enough order load to make it totally economically feasible. Also, when people talk about adding a ton of stuff they should remember that this has to cover the initial production acquisition which tends to be hella expensive and further that their making a set per each $20 pledge and two for every $35 pledge which is in line with the likes of cards against humanity's pricing, which is an already established business.
Cal "Blackhawk" Rasmussen 2015-01-23T10:22:46-05:00
@Joshua, or today.
Kate Craig 2015-01-23T10:25:19-05:00

That really depends on the manufacturer, not the Oatmeal team working on this. And I bet it's going to take longer than they say due to the popularity of the KS.

For a total of $55... So.. anyone here want to buy my clothes? xD
How about a maid? I can make you tea, bake cookies, and play Exploding Kittens with you!

Forget a box, how about a tin?
Corneal Pendulum 2015-01-23T10:31:54-05:00
@James K oooooooo!!! Tin box is classsy!
If its a hard-paper box, hopefully it'll have a magnetic claps or smthing!

@Steve Taylor. Pre-stained + Used litter tray please hahahaaa
Pha3drus 2015-01-23T10:34:35-05:00
@ Tristan. Uhh, no. Cards Against Humanity is 550 cards for $25 + $5 shipping. Or 660 cards (1 expansion) for $35 (free shipping). Exploding Kittens will be 2 decks of 56 cards each. 112 cards total. How does that compare to 660 cards?
Carry Crawford 2015-01-23T10:35:52-05:00
For everyone suggesting all kinds of stretch goodies, please keep in mind (from someone with a home-based business who does shipping)...
Shipping is expensive. USPS is cheapest if you can send things first class, which means the package (including packaging) has to weigh less than 13 ounces. As soon as it goes above 13 ounces, you have to ship Parcel Select or Priority, which push shipping costs into the $5+ range depending where it's being shipped. International shipping is a BEAR. I always feel for my customers overseas, it's a LOT.
So if they can ship two playing card packs for under 13 ounces, they can keep shipping around $3.50 per for US orders. That's 10% of the price of the two packs we backed. The other 90% go towards cost of production, shipping the thousands and thousands of packs to whomever will be handling the actual shipping (creators or a third company, if third company then THEY get a cut), the cost of actually fulfilling the orders (printing the orders, packing them up, labeling), and whatever is leftover are profits to be split amongst the creators.
I'm all for exciting "stretch" freebees because I backed this thing, but knowing the other side of it, I'd be perfectly happy with the two packs I purchased, too.
Aaron Jackson 2015-01-23T10:37:31-05:00
I honestly don't know what else could be added as stretch goals besides more cards and nice boxes and possibly sleeves.....I think a The Oatmeal Comic Collection would be super nice though.
Phil Kemp 2015-01-23T10:37:48-05:00
Is there any chance that with X amount of backers, of X amount of dollars, shipping outside the US can get a little cheaper? I don't mind if it's not first class and here tomorrow (or the day after they send it)
BruceP - The Chameleon 2015-01-23T10:38:59-05:00
@Phil,
They've working on it. Check the FAQ

@Pha3drus CAH b&w vs Exploding Kittens full color. CAH would likely be more money if it was in full color.
Steve Taylor 2015-01-23T10:41:15-05:00
@Anna, I could do with a maid. What cakes can you bake?
Jason Henseler 2015-01-23T10:48:26-05:00
I would seriously like an NSFW drinking game rulebook included as a stretch goals. As well as an illustrated cocktail recipe book for Exploding Kittehs mixed drinks.
Pha3drus 2015-01-23T10:51:21-05:00
@ Cal True! Coloured ink is way more expensive. And also, cartoons and illustrations (and jokes) are way more difficult to create than some words on cards. Anyway! Who am I kidding, I LOVE exploding kittens AND Cards Against Humanity. They will be comparable games, in my opinion! I will certainly treasure this deck of kitten hooliganism.
Aaron Jackson 2015-01-23T10:51:34-05:00

Does anybody know what the active backer number of KS users is. Curious to see what % of KS users end up backing this. I'd only count people as active if they back at least 1 project every 6 months.
Nate Outland 2015-01-23T11:02:48-05:00
Plus, in another half million dollars, this project will be in top 10 of all KS projects ever, only 3 or 4 days in! Momentum will slow, but this has potential to be top 3 or so projects ever
Brett MacDonald 2015-01-23T11:04:42-05:00
Yeah I noticed that too Nate. I really hope they give us a neat SG for that milestone! Doesn't have to be much but it'd be a good nod. It's crazy how fast this is growing!
Christopher J. Barnes 2015-01-23T11:05:30-05:00
I would love to see the game grumps play this on an episode of table flip. If you sent them an early deck you could get a lot of exposure and a lot of new backers. Not that you need it. Just an idea.
Michael McCarthy Kellerman 2015-01-23T11:05:32-05:00

how about a tin instead of a box? :)
Dimitar Sakarov 2015-01-23T11:12:53-05:00
If I want two packs of $35 and shipping to EU is $15, how much should I pledge for two NSFW packs?
35+35=$70 or 35+35+15=85$
... basically my question is if I have to include the shipping in the pledge, and if I even have to include it twice for the two items ?
Wohooo I´m a backer. I love it. But here are my strech-goal ideas...
PLEASE TRANSLATION!!!!! GERMAN,FRANCE,SPANISH and many more, with this community we can do it!
PLEASE lower the international shipping cost! WOW over 3 million! Come on!!!!!
PLEASE a SUPER-CAT Card witch destroy everybody hahaha
That´s it!
Kara Sommerfeld 2015-01-23T11:18:06-05:00
@Michael Mccarthy Kellerman I agree! I love the idea of a tin instead of a box.
@Monica Harley, thanks, I figured most people would tl;dr it, but I was being honest about everything that goes into this.
To the guy who complained that Cards Against Humanity sells 600+ cards for the same price as two packs here.... I hear you, but their cards are LITERALLY black and white, no graphics, all text. I am sure Matt would never find the time to draw 600+ cards to roll this out in time. Have mercy on the poor guy!
Louise Allen 2015-01-23T11:22:38-05:00
I think there needs to be a fur ball card. We all know that after too much time eating grass (why do they do that??) a kitten then hacks up a nasty, phlem and fur ball of fetid ick and then runs away from it. Thanks kitty.
Also, you need the grumpy, smelly cat that just farts, hisses and, if it could see you properly, would scratch your eyes out. Think Bagpuss but after the TV career washed up and he's living in a bin drinking meths.
Vadrick 2015-01-23T11:24:03-05:00
Hendrik, super cat. Actually, that's a great idea. Force the table to work together for a hand or the whole game is a draw.
Vadrick 2015-01-23T11:25:16-05:00
Attention, Elan. You could probably cut the comments in half by saying: "We are a bit overwhelmed. We will definitely look into multiple-deck tiers. Give us a couple days."
Jeff Richards 2015-01-23T11:26:28-05:00
Just wanted to emphasize what some are saying about the costs of US international shipping. I did a Kickstarter with an American colleague (I'm Canadian), and we worked out that for me to ship the international packages would be 1/3rd of the cost of him shipping it. USPS international rates are incredibly high.
Alonso Vega 2015-01-23T11:28:42-05:00
I hope to see a black cat card!
maksimum018 2015-01-23T11:31:42-05:00
Looks like a great game, maybe the cards could be laminated, that would be nice ;)

We need good card quality at least.
Juan Castillo 2015-01-23T11:39:40-05:00
I hope the box is actually big enough to hold all of the cards sleeved.
David Edwards 2015-01-23T11:40:54-05:00
will the box be big enough to fit the cards if they are sleeved?
Kay Rothrock 2015-01-23T11:48:37-05:00
Is there a Lil Bub card yet? It could be a trickster card. It LOOKS like a kitten, but it's really a cat. Also magic. Because everyone knows Lil Bub is a magic alien permakitten :)
James K 2015-01-23T11:52:33-05:00
As a former gamer in the time before sleeves, I do not understand the obsession with sleeves.
To me they are a nuisance. I want to understand, can someone explain to me the benefit of using sleeves with an standardized deck like this? Would you use sleeves with a regular Bicycle deck or Uno?
I understand for games with one-of-a-kind cards and whatnot. But will not every one of these decks be identical?
Eric 'Tchotchke' Aschner 2015-01-23T11:59:40-05:00
@James
It's just a matter of longevity. There's no reason to sleeve a pack of Bicycle cards because you can always just go out and buy an identical pack for $3. No reason to sleeve nice plastic cards like Kem because they'll last through quite a few uses regardless.
Something like MtG is harder though because a number of the cards may be expensive to replace and in limited quantity. Here, the entire NSFW deck is a KS exclusive. So your choices are (1) don't play with the NSFW deck and keep it pristine, (2) play with it and just be fine that'll be a bit messed up after awhile, (3) buy multiples, or (4) spring for sleeves. While annoying, they allow for a 'have your cake and eat it too' approach as you can both play with them now and not have them f'd up later.
I'm sure if the cards were readily available, somewhat cheap, and not limited edition nobody would bother with sleeves. Like, I don't care if my Munchkin deck eventually becomes unplayable, I can buy a replacement. Can't do that with a KS exclusive.
Ian Purscelley 2015-01-23T12:01:54-05:00
Just on a brief glace there is another record it hit. Most over funded. Right now it's at 33,537% with the next being the most funded music playing margarita making cooler ever at 26,570%. Guess that just shows what the world wants, margaritas and exploding feline infants.
MtG was my game back in the 90's. I started playing the day the first revised set came out, so I was able to acquire many of the pre-first revised cards. Stupid me for trading them away for a C++ compiler or something crazy like that in the late 90's. I could be rich now. lol. Blah
Austin Sheppard 2015-01-23T12:09:40-05:00
I keep debating on the NSFW deck, do you have any preview art for it?
Dimitar Sakarov 2015-01-23T12:10:15-05:00
@Evan, Thanks but that's not helping me a lot. I saw this and I know how the different offers are set up now, but I'm not the one to setup a price and shipping.
I'm a pledger and I don't know if I have to calculate the shipping in the price of the offer or not. I have provided an example calculation and just needed that answered or at least a sample... or a word.
What you sent is for project owners and didn't help.
BruceP - The Chameleon 2015-01-23T12:11:31-05:00
@Dimitar S,
From the FAQ:
"We’re still negotiating on the shipping. We’ll try to get the lowest shipping possible, but for now we don’t want to make any promises we can’t pinky swear on.

Arijit Sadhu 2015-01-23T12:14:29-05:00
You should think of doing one with sound effects :)
Dimitar Sakarov 2015-01-23T12:25:08-05:00
@BruceP thank you :)
I'm new and this is my first backing, for multiple items.. so it's a bit tricky.
So I have to pledge only 35+35=$70 (and not $85) and the shipping will be calculated later.
Thwick 2015-01-23T12:26:19-05:00
Fans of the Oatmeal posters might be into an "uncut sheets" tier, where they could get the full printed sheet of cards as a reward.
Eric 'Tchotchke' Aschner 2015-01-23T12:27:53-05:00
@Thwick
That's actually a pretty great bonus tier. Shipping would be expensive and probably a pain. Something like another $100 tier with just one set of each deck instead of two and a signed card sheet. I'd definitely jump at that.
BruceP - The Chameleon 2015-01-23T12:29:14-05:00
@Dimitar S,
I think what they mean in the FAQ is to add in shipping for 1 deck, and then when they send a survey out after the campaign, they'll figure out the rest.
Curtis Tuck 2015-01-23T12:29:43-05:00
Is it just me. Or is the 100k goal for the FIRST tier, a bit of a crock of shit? We got them 2 million dollars in 48 hours. What do we get? Nothing. 30k more sales are needed. Seems like a bit of a cop out really.
Philip Bumgardner 2015-01-23T12:30:43-05:00
I think the 100k is a decent expectation, they cant really set a higher goal for $$ since they already hit over $3mil
Eric 'Tchotchke' Aschner 2015-01-23T12:31:00-05:00
@Curtis
Then don't back it.
Is it just me or are all the people complaining they aren't getting enough free stuff a crock of shit?
Bryan Lipscy 2015-01-23T12:32:24-05:00
Can you open up more decks at the $100 level? If so, how can I upgrade my $35 to the $100 level?
BruceP - The Chameleon 2015-01-23T12:32:33-05:00
@Eric A,
+1
BruceP - The Chameleon 2015-01-23T12:33:52-05:00
@Bryan Lipscy,
If they add more $100 levels, you can click the blue Manage button and switch to a different tier. Or if you want to change your pledge for any other reason, use the blue Manage button. :)
I would love to see an uncut sheet tier as well. I would frame it as a work of art :-)
Cal "Blackhawk" Rasmussen 2015-01-23T12:38:18-05:00
KS does not equal free stuff. Yes I would like more to the product. But I'm fine with what I'm getting. Kickstarter is to help get projects funding. It's not a give me give me give me type of thing.
Rod "BaKhan" Mitchell 2015-01-23T12:40:06-05:00
@Eric A, +1
Eric 'Tchotchke' Aschner 2015-01-23T12:40:09-05:00
Here's my problem with people just expecting a bunch of extra stuff.
Probably at least 3/4 of the money raised is already going to printing, packaging, fulfillment, and shipping. The rest is going to, uh I dunno, launch a new product like KS is intended for. They are trying to keep the rewards simple in order to ensure they actually deliver. Plus economies of scale only goes so far. When talking about the difference between making 1,000 and 2,000 there's some cost savings per unit and they frequently use that to do something nice for the backers. That's what most SG's are for, is to hit a new manufacturing tier. Do you really think the game is going to get that much cheaper to make when you do 500,000 decks instead of 200,000?
Lukas Vitroler 2015-01-23T12:42:14-05:00
wtf happened here? o.O
I love the idea of this game, but such record breaking numbers? o.O
Julie Viens 2015-01-23T12:42:48-05:00
Love the idea for this game! Can't wait to get it! I did however have a suggestion for one of the stretch goals. What about an uncut sheet of cards fresh from the printing press once these are done? Just and idea! Rock on guys!
Justin 2015-01-23T12:42:50-05:00
@lukas this is what happens when kittens exsplode
Justin 2015-01-23T12:43:30-05:00
explode*
Andre "Silver Ninjatten" Bernier 2015-01-23T12:44:08-05:00
Exploding kittens exploding? Is that possible?
Chris 2015-01-23T12:45:58-05:00
@Andre, It's like the sun exploding. Expands rapidly than implodes, they explodes again!
Yay for kitty Science.
@Julie that probably won't be a stretch goal due to the costs involved. that being said they could easily add it as a limited tier especially if they signed and numbered the uncut sheets. I would'nt mind paying an extra $50 for the uncut signed and numbered sheet.
Greg Hancock 2015-01-23T12:51:05-05:00
IF all of the logistics panned out (and there are a lot of them to consider) it would be nice to reduce the cost of decks or to assist with or absorb shipping costs to backers. Personally, I'm fine getting what I paid for... I didn't expect any t-shirts, free decks, an exploding kitten keychain or anything... I was willing to pay $20 to get a fun game for my family (and maybe I'll raise it to $35 to the the NSFW deck, too). Sure, massive production numbers can reduce the printing and shipping rates significantly, even by half, but I also have no problem knowing that a clever, quality product also landed cash in the creator's pockets.
I get the game I wanted, and I am glad to live in a capitalistic economy. (After all, I may want to use Kickstarter to raise funds for MY game some day! Wouldn't it be great to have people support my product so they can enjoy it?)
Great job, Exploding Kitten Team! And great job, backers!
Chris 2015-01-23T12:53:33-05:00
@ Eric A
Very True. I know that the printing process levels off fairly quick. and then there is only so much they can do from their to save any money to make new stretch goals. such as shipping opportunities and distribution. and then that will only save them so much too.
But i pointed out in an earlier comment how this opens a few other doors that otherwise woundn't have been possible.
1000 decks to 2000 decks to 10000 decks you'll see price drops, but from 10000 to 20000 it's just paper and ink... it levels off.
However, when you look at EACH card as a separate print this changes things for them. They can look at Each card as it's own unit and do something special there with out incurring new or much more costs. Different inks or mediums can be introduced on a per card basis now.
This will give the guys much more creative freedom.
Hmm if you put a deck of exploding kittens in a microwave would that result in an explosion paradox ?
Brett MacDonald 2015-01-23T12:53:43-05:00
I too am happy with my investment already and don't need (or expect) more... but SG are still important as they help generate more sales AND enhance the final product if done well. It's not just a give me more stuff request.
.
For example... upgrading card quality to the max... great SG. Upgrading the deck and adding new cards. Great SG... all of which shouldn't be too costly. Adding an app version of this? bad SG. Could hinder the project and too costly/time consuming.
.
So what I'm getting at is with proper SG they are a win-win. I know plenty of SG supporters are just going for the free stuff... but plenty of them are also saying it in the best interest of the project (and the creator). We get more rewards (hurray!) and they get a better product to sell... and more support... The key is just keeping it within the project scope. As is... I'm sure they are still getting plenty of money per deck sold even with the 2 SG revealed so far (cause we're hitting the 100,000 backer one easy)... but you can already tell how much the recent one is motivating people to spread the word.
Roberto Jimenez 2015-01-23T12:55:12-05:00
What we would really like is to get transparent plastic playing cards and the best part is that your current manufacturer, AdMagic, already offers this kind of playing cards. This would not only guarantee that our decks of Exploding Kittens last a long time (they are even washable), transparent cards look extra cool.
@Chris... very true! I'm hoping the number of backers lets them go that route! Hitting 100,000 backers should certainly allow for that.
Conrad Schmidt 2015-01-23T13:00:14-05:00
I like to see them unattentive kittens ruin the day of my fellow players just like everyone here, but as funding for the game is long secured, what about shifting some attention to lesser known but nobler causes.
The good old Tesla-town of Belgrade is throwing its cinemas away and the "good people" can use a cent or two to save what can be saved: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/191726326/new-zvezda-cinema/

Q: what would you think of a stretch goal that added another pledge option. Like an expansion pack or KS ONLY collector card.
Would you add to your pledge if it was offered?

And then I'm gonna need a blindfold, every time I take the cards out of the box. . . (grin)
Can the amount/backers goal focus on releasing the game sooner? Because that would be amazing and awesome!
@Chealsey,
With how many cards need to be produced and shipped, not likely. :) As it is, most Kickstarters deliver late for one reason or another, so don't be surprised if this one does, too.
that would be awesome... don't go making calendars or t-shirts, something new will just delay production but if you're sitting around thinking, "What the hell am I going to do with all of these 'Praise Jibbers' bumper stickers?" then put them in with the orders until you run out. Can't wait for the game.
Someday, this will be the biggest MMO card game in the world with everyone above the age of 5 jacked into the holodevices and playing endlessly while an asteroid hurtles across space to destroy us, until then, these cards will do fine.
I like where your head is at, @Nhonami.
Good morning everyone. it looks like we are on target to hit 100k backers on Sunday as I had predicted :-)
@Joshua, or today.
Alrighty! Husband and I have done our parts! Here's hoping we hit that 100K supporters :)
@Chealsey
That really depends on the manufacturer, not the Oatmeal team working on this. And I bet it's going to take longer than they say due to the popularity of the KS.
85,000 backers! Should easily hit 100k this weekend
i think we might hit it today
Shipping is a bit much for a poor student like myself... $20 to Japan >_<
For a total of $55... So.. anyone here want to buy my clothes? xD
How about a maid? I can make you tea, bake cookies, and play Exploding Kittens with you!
Forget a box, how about a tin?
@James K oooooooo!!! Tin box is classsy!
If its a hard-paper box, hopefully it'll have a magnetic claps or smthing!
(not describing it well... but you know where the box would 'snap' shut due to magnets inside?) :D
How about a litter tray?
@Steve Taylor. Pre-stained + Used litter tray please hahahaaa
@ Tristan. Uhh, no. Cards Against Humanity is 550 cards for $25 + $5 shipping. Or 660 cards (1 expansion) for $35 (free shipping). Exploding Kittens will be 2 decks of 56 cards each. 112 cards total. How does that compare to 660 cards?
I honestly don't know what else could be added as stretch goals besides more cards and nice boxes and possibly sleeves.....I think a The Oatmeal Comic Collection would be super nice though.
Is there any chance that with X amount of backers, of X amount of dollars, shipping outside the US can get a little cheaper? I don't mind if it's not first class and here tomorrow (or the day after they send it)
@Phil,
They've working on it. Check the FAQ
@Pha3drus CAH b&w vs Exploding Kittens full color. CAH would likely be more money if it was in full color.
@Anna, I could do with a maid. What cakes can you bake?
I would seriously like an NSFW drinking game rulebook included as a stretch goals. As well as an illustrated cocktail recipe book for Exploding Kittehs mixed drinks.
85,200....Wow. That's 200 in less than 10 minutes lol.
Wow, almost at $3,333,333 That's a nice round number. :-)
I have to leave for work. someone please screen cap it if possible I would love to see it reach exactly 3,333,333 :-)
@Joshua ...too late....
already passed it
Happened to be watching... Got it at 3,333,300 and then it went to 3,333,340 :-(
Does anybody know what the active backer number of KS users is. Curious to see what % of KS users end up backing this. I'd only count people as active if they back at least 1 project every 6 months.
Plus, in another half million dollars, this project will be in top 10 of all KS projects ever, only 3 or 4 days in! Momentum will slow, but this has potential to be top 3 or so projects ever
Yeah I noticed that too Nate. I really hope they give us a neat SG for that milestone! Doesn't have to be much but it'd be a good nod. It's crazy how fast this is growing!
I would love to see the game grumps play this on an episode of table flip. If you sent them an early deck you could get a lot of exposure and a lot of new backers. Not that you need it. Just an idea.
wow, this has gone nuts, you can even see the total going up in real time...?!
@Carry Crawford, thanks you for your insight into shipping costs.
how about a tin instead of a box? :)
If I want two packs of $35 and shipping to EU is $15, how much should I pledge for two NSFW packs?
35+35=$70 or 35+35+15=85$
... basically my question is if I have to include the shipping in the pledge, and if I even have to include it twice for the two items ?
Table Top: Exploding Kittens
Wohooo I´m a backer. I love it. But here are my strech-goal ideas...
PLEASE TRANSLATION!!!!! GERMAN,FRANCE,SPANISH and many more, with this community we can do it!
PLEASE lower the international shipping cost! WOW over 3 million! Come on!!!!!
PLEASE a SUPER-CAT Card witch destroy everybody hahaha
That´s it!
@Michael Mccarthy Kellerman I agree! I love the idea of a tin instead of a box.
@Dimitar & More shipping question people: https://www.kickstarter.com/blog/weve-made-shipping-rewards-a-lot-more-flexible
Hendrik, super cat. Actually, that's a great idea. Force the table to work together for a hand or the whole game is a draw.
Attention, Elan. You could probably cut the comments in half by saying: "We are a bit overwhelmed. We will definitely look into multiple-deck tiers. Give us a couple days."
Just wanted to emphasize what some are saying about the costs of US international shipping. I did a Kickstarter with an American colleague (I'm Canadian), and we worked out that for me to ship the international packages would be 1/3rd of the cost of him shipping it. USPS international rates are incredibly high.
I hope to see a black cat card!
Looks like a great game, maybe the cards could be laminated, that would be nice ;)
We need good card quality at least.
I hope the box is actually big enough to hold all of the cards sleeved.
will the box be big enough to fit the cards if they are sleeved?
Is there a Lil Bub card yet? It could be a trickster card. It LOOKS like a kitten, but it's really a cat. Also magic. Because everyone knows Lil Bub is a magic alien permakitten :)
@James
Just on a brief glace there is another record it hit. Most over funded. Right now it's at 33,537% with the next being the most funded music playing margarita making cooler ever at 26,570%. Guess that just shows what the world wants, margaritas and exploding feline infants.
@Ian - https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/324283889/potato-salad…
554928%
funded
@Eric.
Makes sense. Thank You!
MtG was my game back in the 90's. I started playing the day the first revised set came out, so I was able to acquire many of the pre-first revised cards. Stupid me for trading them away for a C++ compiler or something crazy like that in the late 90's. I could be rich now. lol. Blah
I keep debating on the NSFW deck, do you have any preview art for it?
@Evan, Thanks but that's not helping me a lot. I saw this and I know how the different offers are set up now, but I'm not the one to setup a price and shipping.
I'm a pledger and I don't know if I have to calculate the shipping in the price of the offer or not. I have provided an example calculation and just needed that answered or at least a sample... or a word.
What you sent is for project owners and didn't help.
@Dimitar S,
From the FAQ:
"We’re still negotiating on the shipping. We’ll try to get the lowest shipping possible, but for now we don’t want to make any promises we can’t pinky swear on.
For the time being, just use the price for a single deck given to you by the shipping calculator, and we’ll confirm everything before putting your Exploding Kittens in the mail."
You should think of doing one with sound effects :)
@BruceP thank you :)
I'm new and this is my first backing, for multiple items.. so it's a bit tricky.
So I have to pledge only 35+35=$70 (and not $85) and the shipping will be calculated later.
Fans of the Oatmeal posters might be into an "uncut sheets" tier, where they could get the full printed sheet of cards as a reward.
@Thwick
That's actually a pretty great bonus tier. Shipping would be expensive and probably a pain. Something like another $100 tier with just one set of each deck instead of two and a signed card sheet. I'd definitely jump at that.
@Dimitar S,
I think what they mean in the FAQ is to add in shipping for 1 deck, and then when they send a survey out after the campaign, they'll figure out the rest.
Is it just me. Or is the 100k goal for the FIRST tier, a bit of a crock of shit? We got them 2 million dollars in 48 hours. What do we get? Nothing. 30k more sales are needed. Seems like a bit of a cop out really.
I think the 100k is a decent expectation, they cant really set a higher goal for $$ since they already hit over $3mil
@Curtis
Then don't back it.
Is it just me or are all the people complaining they aren't getting enough free stuff a crock of shit?
Can you open up more decks at the $100 level? If so, how can I upgrade my $35 to the $100 level?
@Eric A,
+1
@Bryan Lipscy,
If they add more $100 levels, you can click the blue Manage button and switch to a different tier. Or if you want to change your pledge for any other reason, use the blue Manage button. :)
I would love to see an uncut sheet tier as well. I would frame it as a work of art :-)
KS does not equal free stuff. Yes I would like more to the product. But I'm fine with what I'm getting. Kickstarter is to help get projects funding. It's not a give me give me give me type of thing.
@Eric A, +1
Here's my problem with people just expecting a bunch of extra stuff.
Do you really think the game is going to get that much cheaper to make when you do 500,000 decks instead of 200,000?
wtf happened here? o.O
I love the idea of this game, but such record breaking numbers? o.O
Love the idea for this game! Can't wait to get it! I did however have a suggestion for one of the stretch goals. What about an uncut sheet of cards fresh from the printing press once these are done? Just and idea! Rock on guys!
@lukas this is what happens when kittens exsplode
explode*
Exploding kittens exploding? Is that possible?
@Andre, It's like the sun exploding. Expands rapidly than implodes, they explodes again!
Yay for kitty Science.
@Julie that probably won't be a stretch goal due to the costs involved. that being said they could easily add it as a limited tier especially if they signed and numbered the uncut sheets. I would'nt mind paying an extra $50 for the uncut signed and numbered sheet.
@ Eric A
What we would really like is to get transparent plastic playing cards and the best part is that your current manufacturer, AdMagic, already offers this kind of playing cards. This would not only guarantee that our decks of Exploding Kittens last a long time (they are even washable), transparent cards look extra cool.
http://www.admagic.com/transparent-playing-card-decks.html
@Chris... very true! I'm hoping the number of backers lets them go that route! Hitting 100,000 backers should certainly allow for that.
@ Everyone
Q: what would you think of a stretch goal that added another pledge option. Like an expansion pack or KS ONLY collector card.
Would you add to your pledge if it was offered?
@Chris Sure would.
