@Chris,
Reading Rainbow is the most backed with 105k backers. The Coolest Cooler is the most funded with $13mil
Thewarstore.com 2015-01-26T11:29:08-05:00
Um, let's be real guys this is just a crazy viral phenomenon. I doubt in he extreme any usual model can predict where it goes. A basement game about kittens bringing the apocalypse raising more capital than a healthy mid-size business does in a year in several days.... Now the question should be can they deliver, which I am confident they will since they have kept the game simple and not added anything to it that might create a massive logistics headache.
Jörn Huxhorn 2015-01-26T11:30:05-05:00
@Chris: Not sure about highest percentage. There were projects with a goal of $1 that seriously manipulated that record...
Special Stretch Goal: Most backed gets us all a exploding pretty kitty sticker... like the stars on my grade school homework assignments, I would treasure it.
Pha3drus 2015-01-26T11:32:10-05:00
Should go very quickly now!! Everyone will want to be a part of that last sprint to the 100,000 backers stretch goal line.... Woot!!
Jörn Huxhorn 2015-01-26T11:32:24-05:00
I didn't quite follow this comments section... have plastic cards already been suggested as a stretch goal? The quality of The Agents cards is awesome.
BruceP - The Chameleon 2015-01-26T11:32:57-05:00
@Jorn,
Yep, plastic has been suggested a number of times. :)
I dont think they have even said what type of materials will be used in the making of these exploding kitten cards
Cal "Blackhawk" Rasmussen 2015-01-26T11:37:22-05:00
I don't get the point of plastic cards. I understand them for Gloom but anything else i think it's pointless. I understand people want them to be have them be more protected. But I don't play any of my games enough to have them get that damaged.

Hey Elan, I know you guys are slammed with a billion things to do, but if you are interested in producing some Exploding Kitten toys we would love to help. Our stuff is here www.bigshottoyworks.com and my contact info is on the site.
John "Collar Stay" Kelly 2015-01-26T11:44:33-05:00
They should be plastic just in case someone's cat learns that we have diffuse cards and tries to destroy them.
Cal "Blackhawk" Rasmussen 2015-01-26T11:44:42-05:00
@Kenneth that is the only point I understand. @Eric maybe, but between myself and 2 other friends we have over 100 games. So we don't have a lot of replay on some games. haha. Maybe one day I will have more time to play more when I don't work 60 hours a week. haha
Ryan Sizemore 2015-01-26T11:44:50-05:00

Eric 'Tchotchke' Aschner 2015-01-26T11:47:24-05:00
Yeah, probably depends on the game as well. Games that take a long time to play, like Dominion, don't really wear that fast even if you play them often. Party games wear down real quick. Fewer cards means more touches. Faster games means more touches, more shuffles. I have a copy of Dilbert: Corporate Shuffle (which is only an okay party game and gets less play) that is just a single 54ish card deck which probably has more white than color now. (granted the quality was meh to begin with)
If this game is so so good, it's going to get tons of play over the next few years, let alone 10+ like some games I still play. It'd be nice if it lasted.

Colin Sullivan 2015-01-26T12:02:31-05:00
@Adam - Successful KS projects do correlate to this exponential distribution- on the front end. But they also go exponential again -in reverse- in the final 48 hours, when e-mail reminders go out and backers try to drum up support (the more stretch goals, the better) and up their original pledges. So we'll hit your estimate later today, early tomorrow. But the rule of thumb is half the backers/funding are in the first 3 days, and the other half is in the final 27 days, mostly in the last 2. Without trying to correlate historically hugely successful KS to another distribution, I would guess this project is going to hit a little under $6.5M, which will probably break a ton of records on KS.
Jonathan Brown 2015-01-26T12:02:42-05:00

@Pha3drus: If Kicktraq is accurate for it, then awesome. If not, we are still getting more than bargained for with the (soon to be) full deck for the NSFW.
