Fruitcake I think references the cake Elan was eating for his birthday. Dry, stale, old, hard to get down... speculatively why no new SG/Official updates since the first backer goal.
Potato salad refers to another KS campaign that was wildly successful, asking about $10 for ppl to fund a guy wanting to make potato salad. He ended up hosting a giant potato salad party for his backers?
Tins would be metallic upgrades for the Exploding Kittens boxes, plastic Sleeves to protect individual cards, and trinkets...well... People like getting stuff. So, that's just a tchotchke to remind yourself that you were a part of backing the most backed kickstarter project at the time.
None of these have been offered or revealed in an update that I'm aware of. But maybe I missed the post about PnP potato salad coupons, and they redacted it...

Kevin "Lord Zombitten" Buckner 2015-01-29T02:20:52-05:00
Anthony, that's because it's free shipping in the U.S., but if you live elsewhere, you have to pay for the international shipping.
tripthicket: Phoenix Rising Head Monkey 2015-01-29T02:21:05-05:00
Doing a very rough and seat-of-the-pants estimate (and not counting all of the extra decks that were purchased), I see the EK team having to print, package and ship (at this point) more than 115,000 decks and profiting maybe a little more than 165,000. This includes Amazon and sales tax taking a total of about 10% off the top. Considering the EK team never thought this would happen, I'd say they're going to be earning their money after the KS ends. As a for instance, if 1 person can get 1 deck ready to ship in 1 minute, that person would be able to prepare 2400 decks in a normal workweek of 40 hours (a goal I don't think anyone could actually reach; we're not machines). 3 people could get 7200 decks ready to ship in a single workweek. For the sake of estimation, we'll use the number 115,000 as the amount of decks to be shipped out. 3 people working at the breakneck pace I related above would still take almost 16 weeks to ship all orders out. I wouldn't want to be in their shoes, even as elated as they must be right now. O.O
Mike Dragonpath 2015-01-29T02:26:20-05:00

Kickstarter idea: Send me your money so I can jump in it...
@Jason, sounds legit, I'd back it!
Don't make it to deep, or else you could be the first person to drown in a pool of coins.
@Kevin; I hope you're right, they've got a lot of fruit cake, po-tay-toe salad and trinkets with sleeves in EU friendly tins to add to the game
but what a way to go... I would be like Norm when he worked at a beer factory
My mind is stuck in the gutter sorry
For some reason, whenever I hear "Coins" I think of Coin Bird, one of the first flash videos I can remember:

@Allison, in fairness I did try to warn you...
Apparently I have been summoned. Look forward to reading everything that happens. Night
geez I walk away for a a bit to prepare dinner and 73 new comments are waiting for me
Night Jason! Sleep tight don't let the fruitcake bite!
Especially don't let it bite you in the trinkets.
There should be a trinket protecting sleeve for that.
I don't even go near fruitcake without my trinkets being sleeved!
I just don't go near fruitcake. That's just what it wants. That's how it gets you.
Anyway, the real reason I came here was to say that I think they should work the Ultra Mega Kitten into the game somehow.
But if the fruitcake came in a tin, we'd be safe
Only as long as we don't open the tin.
The tin would need to be lead lined in order to provide effective protection from fruit cake.
Carbonfibre?
You'd need carbon fiber sleeves to keep your trinkets safe if you ever opened the lead-lined tin. That's for sure.
