I was always impressed with Europeans ability to speak more than one language, until I realized most European countries are the size of a lot of US states. If I had to learn a different language if I want to communicate every time I drove two hours in any given direction I suppose I'd have to apply myself. Living in such a large country has made me language lazy.

Most countries in Europe they start teaching a 2nd language in primary school. Frequently its English or French (languages for business). The younger you are when you become bilingual the easier learning other languages will be. Although throwing in a different alphabet/letters will be a bit harder for a bilingual they are still likely to pick it up faster.
We in the US don't start languages until high school so picking up additional languages (even the 2nd) is harder. We assume/expect others to speak American English everywhere. Which is why you'll see bad book reviews on non-American English language books for "spelling & grammar" issues which are correct but Americans are convinced are wrong because only their regional spelling/grammar is true "English".

I believe it. I've viewed a few anime that jammed too much into episodes and left too much out so they have you guessing on faith about what is going on.
That partly has to do with budgets and how the anime industry works over there. Almost all are self funded for the first season, regardless of the manga's success.

@Catness I made some killer poutine not too long ago with a beer and bacon based beef gravy, and spiced fries. Oh man, that was something else! And to properly fake being a Canadian, you will need to learn how to properly apologise. For everything. Even if it's not your fault.
@Catness, I'm from Quebec. Montreal, to be specific. Moved to a suburb a few years ago. I don't like Quebec, either. Haha All the language issues. I do love poutine, though.
And the syrup. I mean, we can tolerate the Quebeckers for the syrup if nothing else!
Meow-tair, haha... I'll never pass as a Canadian, then. I actively work to reduce my apologizing.
@Potatten
I believe it. I've viewed a few anime that jammed too much into episodes and left too much out so they have you guessing on faith about what is going on.
That partly has to do with budgets and how the anime industry works over there. Almost all are self funded for the first season, regardless of the manga's success.
We use laminate a lot here.

My project (all hands up)
Catz, it has to be cheese curds or it doesn't count.
@Stephen: No, but I have both faith and confidence. Less negativity and underestimating the power of our KS please.
Alllllll the catnapping will be had today. Already laying in a pitch black room. Just waiting for brain to settle down.
@Catz: Even worse.... [filler] content......
