What is interesting about this KS is that the intra campaign pledge levels are rather high compared to other high volume KS. Those have very high pledges at the start and end, but negligable ones between.

Did the EK team give their blessing to Playroom to pay "homage" in evoking exploding kittens in the marketing/stretch goals for Unspeakable Words? The artwork most definitely wasn't commissioned from The Oatmeal, so to me the Unspeakable Words update reeks at a desperate attempt to use EK to boost their exposure...

@william - reread Unspeakable Worlds update better - they say they are "inspired by EK" and "hope some of the modest success rubs off". Nowhere do they indicate endorsement or involvement from/with EK.
@Potatten I think it takes about 1+ hour to get to philly. We've gone a couple times.

If they claim "inspired" but didn't get blessing or discuss it with Elan and the team, that seems kind of lame to me just to try and piggyback on any success they can get to "rub off on them". I have other issues with Playroom and how they have handled things over the last year plus, but backed for my daughter. This latestupdate from them just kind of rubbedme the wrong way, and I was curious as to whether Elan or anyone directly involved with EK had given their blessing or were even aware of it. That's all.
