Draw a cabbit.
A once annual tradition of getting together for a men's (ostensibly-)fishing (but really drinking) trip always featured an appearance by my cousin Alan Ansell and his cabbit story. Sure, there are pictures of cabbit that show up on google image search but nothing that approaches the majesty that comes to mind of a true Canadian hinterland cabbit - the story always takes place in northern Alberta while he's out in the deep bush on an ATV - the cabbit pictures available are mostly just house cats with photoshopped ears or rabbits with photoshopped cat fur.
No. As far as portmanteau animals a wild cabbit would be enough to give a Bear-O-Dactyl pause; the speed, size and agility of a Mountain Lion with the audacity to sport the features of a lowly prey animal! Alan's cabbit is always just out of sight... elusive - almost shy? - when the camera is reached for to obtain proof. It darts just out of sight like a will'o'wisp yet possessing of a startling clown-like quality: silly? preposterous? friendly? nightmare-fuel?
