@Nick - Are you paying from the US with a regular US card? I understandy why some foreign banks would have issues, etc. I'm sure you have already, but I would try just updating payment and reentering all the information again. One tiny little detail like a typo on billing or name on card could even cause a problem. But I am not an expert. I say you call kickstarter and bang on their doors until it works for you.

@Melissa: Yup. US Card, and bank, all info is correct. I've used it to buy stuff online at other site since with out problems, and at the grocery store and McDonald's today. I've tried reentering the card info at least 20 times to make sure I got all of the details right.
I got a pretty lack luster response from Kick Starter which basically amounted to "Try another card...other that that we can't really help."

Really!? They just processed 8.7 million dollars in CC transactions for this project alone and they don't have any way of resolving CC processing issues? I work for a small company that does a few thousand CC transactions per months and I can login to our processors website and get an more details about every attempted transaction that I could possibly ever need.

Well this sucks. Apparently Kick Starter doesn't know why my card isn't working, and my bank isn't seeing any transactions even being attempted and there is nothing the kick starter can do. What a load of crap!

@Nick - Are you paying from the US with a regular US card? I understandy why some foreign banks would have issues, etc. I'm sure you have already, but I would try just updating payment and reentering all the information again. One tiny little detail like a typo on billing or name on card could even cause a problem. But I am not an expert. I say you call kickstarter and bang on their doors until it works for you.

I think Zem may be getting some more riddles ready for the EU crowd. I hope they're EU friendly!!! I'm trying to force myself to get up and do a sink full of dishes. I have a dishwasher, but as my landlord loves to claim "I told you it wasn't working before i moved in" - which apparently means - he will not be fixing it.

@Melissa: Yup. US Card, and bank, all info is correct. I've used it to buy stuff online at other site since with out problems, and at the grocery store and McDonald's today. I've tried reentering the card info at least 20 times to make sure I got all of the details right.
I got a pretty lack luster response from Kick Starter which basically amounted to "Try another card...other that that we can't really help."

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry that your pledge was declined and that it's still not working even though you've double checked your card's status and your bank says they aren't blocking payments to Kickstarter.
We use a third party payments processor to collect pledges. Accordingly, you will need to use a different card to try completing your pledge, as we do not have any control about how this charge is processed or how it interacts with your bank.
If all else fails, you're always welcome to message the project creator to see if you can arrange to contribute outside of Kickstarter. To message a project creator, simply go to the project page, and click on the "Contact me" link under the creator's name in the bio section. I hope you are still able to participate!

Really!? They just processed 8.7 million dollars in CC transactions for this project alone and they don't have any way of resolving CC processing issues? I work for a small company that does a few thousand CC transactions per months and I can login to our processors website and get an more details about every attempted transaction that I could possibly ever need.
(I'm mostly just venting here in the comments. I'll keep hassling them until something happens.)
Oh, you mentioned me. I have a large group of people for a dorm in my room. I've only been checking like once every 10-15 minutes. Enjoy my abnormal normality while it lasts, but I'm going to sleep as soon as they leave too.
@Nick - I totally understand your frustration. That's insane. If you don't have any way of trying a different card- any friend, roommate, family member that you can pay cash to first - have you tried Contacting Elan through the contact me button? Now that the campaign frenzy is over with, he may get to you sooner. Either that or through twitter- @gameofkittens . If you have, and have not heard back - please let us know here, and we can try to get ahold of Elan in regards to letting you pay. You pledged on time, and made every effort to pay- you deserve to get your game!
