Just need to iron out a few details and will then upload/share forall to view. The app link you posted only works if you have a android phone/tablet. Not available on my PC and my phone is a blackberry (the ones before the Z10 refresh)

I really like it so far EX. It's not letting me move stuff at random either which is good. We don't really need a direct address indication unless specified by a given member. Country, City and State is fine in most cases. We can always modify it if we get much bigger.

Before I start on that I just need to confirm with Cheetah butt and others on how this will roll.
Majority vote in the comments can also work.
The map is a sample just to show that it is possible to create a mashup that we can post on the internet without it getting destroyed/misused in seconds.
There was a mashup link up on twitter, but a lot of people ended in the ocean or the poles.
@Tsveta: That wrap around one looks awesome...just it wouldn't be right for everyone. On me it would look ugly as hell. But some people it would definitely work for.

Just so everyone knows we shouldn't include actual physical addresses of members for security and safety reasons.... this IS the internet after all. A general main intersection is the ABSOLUTE farthest we should go in detail if it goes farther that Country, State/Area, City

Used City+Country as i know the way that google maps searches locations. and there are sometimes multiple places with the same name across the globe. City and Country columns are to distinguish between the two and make sure the order isn't mixed up later. Name is the Kitten Corps name chosen, or KS name should kitten corps not be available.

Hi @GC, Yes, clustrmap looks nice. although it will track ALL locations that send traffic to a specific website e.g. kittencorps.com.
So you can see the closest/main ISP point that a user will be connecting from to you, but you wouldn't know if they were kitten corps members or not.
At least that is how i understand their site.

Once we get close to a working sample I will request details sent to an e-mail address of mine for inclusion on the map. I COULD trawl through the comments, find every backer's name, click on their BIO and write the data down. BUT people would be included who didn't want to and it would take too damn long.
They don't need any money. Small company my foot. They're just trying to get publicity because of apple watch coming. Still, I couldn't care less about anything with a worm bite on it.

Running Clustermap along with google maps is also an option. when sharing google maps you have the option of only sharing via a link (i.e. google never indexes the page) or via specific people on G+ or via ALL OF THE INTERNET...... not the last one.

@Cha! manual google maps is not maintenance free, but after the initial loading of data it should be minimal updates. If @GC and @CB can run kitten corps and the kitten corps shop then i'm sure i can handle a google map that needs updating.
Well I hope things go well for you Cha! As for the map thing, we just don't have control over actual labeling. It also would only zoom in so far and was kind of vague. We don't need more than general locations, but still.

Updating the map is also just a matter of adding entries or updating existing ones. If someone moves then you can search for their name and change details on the fly. Instantaneous update. :)
