@CB, The point of the map was to track the whole kitten corps, geocodes can also be used.
They MIGHT be a bit too specific. I prefer closest city/town, if anyone lives too far away from a central point, (middle of nevada desert anyone?) we can use geocodes to map the location if needed.
The map will be split into layers for alignment as well as normal KS backers who want to join, You can then switch the layers on/of as needed when viewing the map.

So far the only entries added have been those that have been submitted and some KC members that were talking in the comments when I started.
The format for the data is:

I was going to add the top 100 commentors, but if you would rather not have me do that then it is fine.
The markers on the map are currently set to look like the paws logo from KC.

@CB, The data set is entirely on an opt in basis. I can strip out the names and leave the KC names in. However, for the KS backers I was using their name in the comment thread. So far it's just MINION who is on the map under KS. And those who requested a different location (nearest intersection in Philadelphia, did so directly.)
I am fully aware of the privacy implications and where someone has submitted an actual street location I have truncated it to their nearest city/town centre.
@TEP: Technically Minion is a member of the Corp...she agreed to becoming my minion due to the fact she referenced Doctor Who, and that made me want her as my own.

What a joke. Kickstarter let Pebble Time act like a stand alone project and it became the 3rd most funded KS in less than a day.
Anything for a buck I guess. We'll just toss the original intention of the site here right in the trash and let a now established company use our site for pre-sales of their next line of products.

Stand alone: Per a Kickstarter perspective, a product that can't be made without Kickstarter funding that provides the proverbial start up funds.
Pebble is already an established company with a product line. All this is is Pebble 2.0 with a color screen. Pebble has access to economies of scale and production lines and all the other aspects needed for them to bring this item to market.
KS is basically allowing them to bastardize the founding principles behind the site. Not the first time or the last, but doesn't mean I have to like it or keep quiet. (Harumpf!) [KS has conceded the bastardizing of their founding principle basically to keep funding away from Indie Gogo, which would allow the same thing to happen.]

Also, Pebble Time is a finished project. Shipping by May for product of that technical nature that should still be in development? (Again, according to principles behind KS. It's to help development and first product line production. Not to pre-order finished projects/products.)
Just put the damn thing on Amazon for pre-order or at least be candid and have a pre-order page on KS that differentiates between products and pre-orders. That way KS can still get their cut instead of Amazon.
Either way it's a joke and an insult to past projects and their achievements.
Yes, Pebble is both Second and Third most fund campaigns ever now. It's ridiculous! They already sold THE most popular magic watch in THE WORLD. It's Veronica Mars all over again. It was fine the first time, but the established themselves with VAST popularity. This is nothing more than risk mitigation and they should be forced to take the risk at this point, as there isn't any. It's just a win-win for KS and Fruity Pebble Time. It totally violates the mission statement of KS in my opinion. People are allowed to take off on here and do great. But not when the people behind it have a $22M estimated value as INDIVIDUALS.

Pebble is already an established company with a product line. All this is is Pebble 2.0 with a color screen. Pebble has access to economies of scale and production lines and all the other aspects needed for them to bring this item to market.
KS is basically allowing them to bastardize the founding principles behind the site. Not the first time or the last, but doesn't mean I have to like it or keep quiet. (Harumpf!) [KS has conceded the bastardizing of their founding principle basically to keep funding away from Indie Gogo, which would allow the same thing to happen.]
Also, Pebble Time is a finished project. Shipping by May for product of that technical nature that should still be in development? (Again, according to principles behind KS. It's to help development and first product line production. Not to pre-order finished projects/products.)
Just put the damn thing on Amazon for pre-order or at least be candid and have a pre-order page on KS that differentiates between products and pre-orders. That way KS can still get their cut instead of Amazon.
Either way it's a joke and an insult to past projects and their achievements.
Moment is a startup that I root for. Pebble Time is something I literally come here and buy.
Yes, Pebble is both Second and Third most fund campaigns ever now. It's ridiculous! They already sold THE most popular magic watch in THE WORLD. It's Veronica Mars all over again. It was fine the first time, but the established themselves with VAST popularity. This is nothing more than risk mitigation and they should be forced to take the risk at this point, as there isn't any. It's just a win-win for KS and Fruity Pebble Time. It totally violates the mission statement of KS in my opinion. People are allowed to take off on here and do great. But not when the people behind it have a $22M estimated value as INDIVIDUALS.
I really would love to have the watch but I think it's a tad to expensive for a Watch. I have been wanting a pebble watch since 2011 but I never got it and I don't think today will be any different. its a great watch but I for sure can't afford it

Well they can still join KC if they really want to. Our open door policy never closed. If they want to be on it but not in the KC that is certainly fine as well. Our core and most dedicated members should get the VIP treatment though.
I will also be splitting the map into layers. Should get home in the next 2 hours, then anouther couple of hours to sort out the little ones.
Work will therefore commence at about 20:30-21:00 local time.
