quite well, thank you
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-02-25T23:45:33-05:00
Sick. Very sick.
Aaw, I missed the whole homonym game! I keep coming back and leaving quickly.
@sparkypi, you still here? Doubt it, but yo!
Anja "Cha!" Allen 2015-02-25T23:45:56-05:00
Just a quick hi & good night from me...I got suckered into the new Moonman Forum (awesome platform) and been stimulated by geeky SciFiey kinda stuff :)
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-02-25T23:46:43-05:00
I have some major cold or fever or something. On top of that, this was lab day for me. 4 hours of standing up really sick and sore over hot plates and filter flasks.
Sorry, didn't see the creeper, Wolf.
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-02-25T23:48:08-05:00
Good night, cha!
Melissa "The Creeper" Nicole 2015-02-25T23:50:47-05:00
Feel better, zem!! Seems like a lot of the corps is getting sick.
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-02-25T23:51:25-05:00
A virus is spreading through the corps itself?!! We must quarantine at once!
Eric 'Tchotchke' Aschner 2015-02-25T23:52:59-05:00
I'm fine.
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-02-25T23:54:11-05:00
@tchotchke you may be fine now, but you may be next! Haven't you ever seen a horror movie? You never know what could happen!
Experiencing Life to the Fullest-Da Wolf 2015-02-25T23:55:28-05:00
Good night Cha.

The Creeper - What is your favorite thing to bake?
Kevin "Lord Zombitten" Buckner 2015-02-25T23:57:32-05:00
I got sick, too! Only thing is, for me, every day is lab day.
Experiencing Life to the Fullest-Da Wolf 2015-02-25T23:57:57-05:00
LZ - time for a black licorice pop!
Kevin "Lord Zombitten" Buckner 2015-02-25T23:58:35-05:00
Actually, according to horror cinema laws, by declaring yourself fine, you have ensured that you will be the next victim!
Kevin "Lord Zombitten" Buckner 2015-02-25T23:59:04-05:00
I'm all out
Experiencing Life to the Fullest-Da Wolf 2015-02-25T23:59:30-05:00
Me too! Waiting for it be restocked.
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-02-25T23:59:39-05:00
@LZ haha! but now I may have to skip 3 classes, 3 of which are extremely important. At least you don't have tests about every 4 weeks that this could sabotage. Hope you feel better as fast as I hope I do!
Eric 'Tchotchke' Aschner 2015-02-26T00:01:13-05:00
Nah, I'll be fine. I was sick in 2001, and back in 1995. So, I've had my fill for the next few decades already.
Kevin "Lord Zombitten" Buckner 2015-02-26T00:01:25-05:00
Indeed, I just have to be there to earn the moneys
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-02-26T00:01:30-05:00
Wow. Looking back, maybe I should've rephrased that. It sounded waaay more selfish than I'd intended! (I hadn't intended any. sorry!)
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-02-26T00:03:25-05:00
@tchotchke you got sick on average once a decade: 90s, 00s, but now it's the 10s! You're due for your next attack!
Kevin "Lord Zombitten" Buckner 2015-02-26T00:03:38-05:00
My reply was almost super selfish (I almost said that I just have to go to work to support my family and keep a roof over their heads). Your point is valid, though. I always hated missing important classes. As a science major, that pretty much meant that I hated missing classes.
Kevin "Lord Zombitten" Buckner 2015-02-26T00:04:23-05:00
Oh, the vomitrots are coming for you, Tchotchke!
Eric 'Tchotchke' Aschner 2015-02-26T00:05:20-05:00
Huh? I thought everyone only got sick twice. What's the phrase? Once bitten; twice shy? Wait... that's not right.
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-02-26T00:06:02-05:00
Ooh, don't say that, LZ! I've developed a slight fear of throwing up because it's not exactly pleasant and I haven't done it much. I really hope this time it doesn't go that far, just really sick, tired, sore, and dehydrated!
Kevin "Lord Zombitten" Buckner 2015-02-26T00:10:03-05:00
Yeah, volcanoing sucks
Kevin "Lord Zombitten" Buckner 2015-02-26T00:11:19-05:00
Well, I'ma call it a night. Need recovery sleep. Night, all

Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-02-26T00:12:31-05:00
Good night, LZ. Hope you and everyone else sick gets well soon. And really hope I don't succumb to the endless barrages of vomitrots. Thankfully I have experience holding them off for extended periods of time. ;)
Mike Kabala 2015-02-26T00:20:17-05:00
Hi all. How's it going?
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-02-26T00:21:04-05:00
Good, depending on the person.
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-02-26T00:21:51-05:00
Watch out though, a virus is spreading through the corps. We've attempted quarantining some of the affected, but we're not sure that works over the internet.
Melissa "The Creeper" Nicole 2015-02-26T00:22:21-05:00
CB - apparently everyone is vomiting.
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-02-26T00:23:40-05:00
Well, I really hope it doesn't go that far. Though the more people talk about it the more I realize I do feel like that.

Wow, I guess i Could feel worse. I'm having a bit of a problem with high blood pressure causing me to wake up with a headache that lasts until noon. I guess I'm one f the lucky ones.
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-02-26T00:49:01-05:00
@mike I dunno, that doesn't sound too nice either.
@dave I think there're quite a few people pacific time. But if you stay up long enough, it's never empty in here. There's always somebody lurking around. But yeah, I think most Americans here are central or eastern time. Maybe just get on earlier if you have the chance.
Mike Kabala 2015-02-26T00:49:29-05:00
I should be sleeping too, but I've been trying to get the KittenCorps Forum up and running. I downloaded and printed a 148 page manual only to discover that it didn't even have instructions how to put your own logo on the site. Linux people are horrible at writing user manuals.
I did figure it out after reading through a pile of other useless information though. Luckily, my HTML, CSS, and Photoshop skills came in handy.
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-02-26T00:51:40-05:00
@mike it's a good thing you're here to do all that. Half my family does programming stuff, but I stayed quite a ways away from that.
Also, is that corps googlemap up yet? I'd like to see it even though I only sent my information in tonight.
Eric 'Tchotchke' Aschner 2015-02-26T00:52:11-05:00
I've done a few forums, they're usually pretty easy. Copy over and pull up the install page.
Mike Kabala 2015-02-26T00:54:01-05:00
Yeah, what's up with the mapping thing? I just don't get that at all.
Mike Kabala 2015-02-26T00:54:26-05:00
Is it something where you enter geocodes?
Mike Kabala 2015-02-26T00:55:32-05:00
I'm not sure aome people would want others to know their exact geocode though.
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-02-26T00:55:33-05:00
I think it's just a map of all the corps members' locations.
Mike Kabala 2015-02-26T00:56:08-05:00
You would want to use geocodes for precieion though, right?
Ken "Fishbone" French 2015-02-26T00:56:45-05:00
Sick here too. Hairballs suck!
Peter 'General Calculus' W. 2015-02-26T00:57:18-05:00
The idea is to map a general location, like state or next major city. Nothing too specific.
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-02-26T00:57:25-05:00
@mike just something like your zipcode or a nearby intersection if you want.
Mike Kabala 2015-02-26T00:57:38-05:00
Maybe we need geocodes to track the KittenCorps flu!
Peter 'General Calculus' W. 2015-02-26T00:58:12-05:00
In essence something to gauge timezones and global backer/kitten distribution.
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-02-26T00:58:30-05:00
Send medical help to the next victims in the pattern or something.
Mike Kabala 2015-02-26T00:58:47-05:00
I think there are sites that can convert an address into a geocode. Zip Codes are so imprecise. You end up getting something like the center of an entire zipcode region.
Peter 'General Calculus' W. 2015-02-26T00:59:09-05:00
Maybe some data to see who
ives in your wider vicinity meetups perhaps.
Peter 'General Calculus' W. 2015-02-26T00:59:46-05:00
That actually would suffice for the purpose.
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-02-26T00:59:53-05:00
I don't think the point is accuracy, just general location.
Mike Kabala 2015-02-26T01:00:19-05:00
OK, I can see that. Each person would have to provide their own geocode though.
Mike Kabala 2015-02-26T01:02:18-05:00
Even if we're not going for precision, we could still use the geocode for an entire city. It's just a more reliable means of placing pins on a map.
Melissa "The Creeper" Nicole 2015-02-26T01:02:36-05:00
Yeah, we're not looking for precision. We don't want everyone to know where we live. Just a general neighborhood/city - just to see where we all are in the world.
@Cheetah: I think it uses the nearest postal/zip/locator beacon to you if you don't have one.
Mike Kabala 2015-02-26T01:05:14-05:00
You wouldn't have to post the location of your house if you didn't want. Just specify what state you're in and use the geocenter of that state for the geocode.
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-02-26T01:05:48-05:00
@GM I don't even have dreams. And before anyone thinks it up, no I don't have dreams at all. I remember them when I do, about once a month or if I nap early in the day. Kinda creepy, but I really like it. My dreams get really weird. Not like monsters or anything, actually hyperrealistic, but still, they get strange as heck!
Mine is about a block south of my office. And that's about a 40 minute drive from my house.
Mike Kabala 2015-02-26T01:06:45-05:00
... or are you using geolocation based on your cell phone?
Peter 'General Calculus' W. 2015-02-26T01:07:21-05:00
CB, the google map API does exactly that. You enter any city, state, streetname, ZIP or whatever and it returns a geocode. It is rather reliable.
Mike Kabala 2015-02-26T01:08:19-05:00
@GM, you have the advantage over me. It sounds like you are talking about a specific application that geolocates you. WHat application is that and why not use that if it's already written?
Mike Kabala 2015-02-26T01:08:36-05:00
@GM, you have the advantage over me. It sounds like you are talking about a specific application that geolocates you. WHat application is that and why not use that if it's already written?
Peter 'General Calculus' W. 2015-02-26T01:09:04-05:00
I once used it to extract geolocations for some client data to compute efficient routes.
Mike Kabala 2015-02-26T01:09:08-05:00
@General Calculus, I think that's the app I used to find my geocode.
Melissa "The Creeper" Nicole 2015-02-26T01:09:52-05:00
@Zem - lucky. I have lucid dreams and incredibly realistic, exhausting dreams. I wake up sore - from tensing up while dreaming. i feel all "inception"-like when i wake up. Last week, had an incredibly lucid and realistic dream that I was messed up the rest of the day.
@Cheetah: I didn't do anything to place where mine was located. TEP(I believe is the one making the map) put up a preview of it earlier, and it just showed mine as being near my office. I never sent any information, so not sure where he was pulling the data from.
Peter 'General Calculus' W. 2015-02-26T01:11:01-05:00
You can even do bulk conversions using google tables with hundreds of adresses and then genrate a nice map from it.
Mike Kabala 2015-02-26T01:11:08-05:00
It would still have to be something where people would explicitly opt in. A peron's location is protected under privacy laws.
Peter 'General Calculus' W. 2015-02-26T01:11:18-05:00
However, gotta go, work awaits...
Eric 'Tchotchke' Aschner 2015-02-26T01:11:25-05:00
@Creeper
Maybe you're only dreaming about the whole Exploding Kittens thing. I mean, when you actually start thinking about the details does any of it make sense to you?
Peter 'General Calculus' W. 2015-02-26T01:12:02-05:00
Yes, whoecer wants to be on the map can email this info to TEP.
Melissa "The Creeper" Nicole 2015-02-26T01:12:09-05:00
Tchotchke- Don't mindF*ck me at this hour!
Mike Kabala 2015-02-26T01:12:33-05:00
Maybe I'm real and you're a dream.
Christiaan "The Ex-President" Heyns 2015-02-26T01:12:36-05:00
Morning 'Corps! What did I miss about the geo codes?
Any trouble with the mapping method used?
CB? any concerns?
@Tchotchke: How do I know you're real? Couldn't you just be a figment of my imagination? Couldn't everything, even my own body? It could all just be my mind tricking me into thinking it isn't alone.
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-02-26T01:13:01-05:00
I had two lucid dreams in my life, both of which I realized it and woke up. If I were conscious in my dreams, I would be so happy. The part that makes them creepy is the fact that, to my brain, my dreams are way more real than reality. No matter what happens, and 95% of the time they're entirely possible, nothing like monsters or star wars characters or sci-fi. I wish I had normal dreams, maybe not every day though.
Eric 'Tchotchke' Aschner 2015-02-26T01:13:04-05:00
Did I?
Or was it a dreeeaaammm?? (gotta do that all spooky like with the hand waving)
Mike Kabala 2015-02-26T01:13:39-05:00
OK. I got an email from TEP about that. It would be an external link though.
Jeff "Great Cane of Doom"™ Saxton 2015-02-26T01:13:58-05:00
Is that Jedi hand waving, Tchotchke?
James "Hellguin" Williams 2015-02-26T01:14:46-05:00
If anyone is looking for more games, There are 2 other interesting games running though kickstarter, 1 is about to end, 1 has 54 days
Try looking in to them, Stipulations is less than $600 from being funded, and TSO is new but also sounds very interesting
Mike Kabala 2015-02-26T01:14:52-05:00
@TEP, people were just saying that if we email you our geocodes you would make some sort of map for the whole KittenCorps.
Melissa "The Creeper" Nicole 2015-02-26T01:14:56-05:00
Blaaagghhhhhhhh *hides under pillow*
Christiaan "The Ex-President" Heyns 2015-02-26T01:15:15-05:00

Eric 'Tchotchke' Aschner 2015-02-26T01:16:03-05:00

idunnoo.. it's Creeper's dream.
Mike Kabala 2015-02-26T01:17:16-05:00
Maybe the people who spam other projects' comments with their own project are a dream, or soon will be after KickStarter bans them for abusing the comments.
Mike Kabala 2015-02-26T01:18:35-05:00
@TEP, I think you're the one who needs to fill me in. I remember getting an email from you about maps, but I didn't understand it. Everyone here has been trying to explain it to me ... something about putting something on the website???

@Cheetah: I didn't do anything to place where mine was located. TEP(I believe is the one making the map) put up a preview of it earlier, and it just showed mine as being near my office. I never sent any information, so not sure where he was pulling the data from.
You can even do bulk conversions using google tables with hundreds of adresses and then genrate a nice map from it.
It would still have to be something where people would explicitly opt in. A peron's location is protected under privacy laws.
However, gotta go, work awaits...
@Creeper
Maybe you're only dreaming about the whole Exploding Kittens thing. I mean, when you actually start thinking about the details does any of it make sense to you?
Yes, whoecer wants to be on the map can email this info to TEP.
Tchotchke- Don't mindF*ck me at this hour!
Maybe I'm real and you're a dream.
Did I?
Or was it a dreeeaaammm?? (gotta do that all spooky like with the hand waving)
OK. I got an email from TEP about that. It would be an external link though.
Is that Jedi hand waving, Tchotchke?
If anyone is looking for more games, There are 2 other interesting games running though kickstarter, 1 is about to end, 1 has 54 days
Stipulations: http://tinyurl.com/ojtrjs4
The Secret Order: http://tinyurl.com/q4teluq
Try looking in to them, Stipulations is less than $600 from being funded, and TSO is new but also sounds very interesting
@TEP, people were just saying that if we email you our geocodes you would make some sort of map for the whole KittenCorps.
Blaaagghhhhhhhh *hides under pillow*
CB, fill me in please?
@GCoD
idunnoo.. it's Creeper's dream.
Maybe the people who spam other projects' comments with their own project are a dream, or soon will be after KickStarter bans them for abusing the comments.
@TEP, I think you're the one who needs to fill me in. I remember getting an email from you about maps, but I didn't understand it. Everyone here has been trying to explain it to me ... something about putting something on the website???
