It'll be set in our time, and I'm planning out a magic system involving stickers tgat you apply to your items to give them properties. Different combinations of stickers give different properties

It's gearing up to be 40 degrees and the snow is finally melting. @Creeper: has the snow melted enough for kitty not to be struggling in it?
The cats have made a few paths they stay on. Still cold today, but going to warm up tomorrow. There's about two 1/2 feat still in the backyard.

Actually, the only dogs chasing cats are the would-be house dogs. Never saw a street dog chasing a cat.
Well, heard about one. Good thing I didn't see it.
I don't think my dog would know what to do with a cat if I had one. He's seen them and seemed apathetic.
