Thanks, Creeper. I was a but of a mess at the animal hospital. It wasn't as bad as when I found the body of my cat a few years ago after he died suddenly, though. At least I get to say goodbyes this time.

I remember when one of my favorite cats started getting sick. My mom wouldn't listen and take him to the vet until we found him one day and thought he was already dead. Then she finally conceded when he moved, but he died on the way to the vet. I still kinda blame her for that one. He probably would've made it.

I have a nearly 16 or 17 year old outside cat. For her life, it's more like 100 human years. I will be sad when she goes, but not surprised or anything. She successfully became the ruler of our property and enforced it, and had generations of kittens. About the most successful person/thing I've ever known. Still, I will be really sad. I just came to terms with it like 4 years ago when I thought she was really old and going to go soon.

Leave the door open with food inside, close it when he comes in, and trap him! So simple! He'll hate you for about a month and probably run away when you let him back out and he'll resume the state he's in now, but you'll get to keep him if you're really nice. Plus it's rude. He would get over it after awhile, though.

Zem - all the community cats have awesome facial hair. We have "mustachio" who's a real sonuvabitch towards kittykitty, and has a villain mustache. Then there's "batgirl", she also had a goatee, and a crooked mustache. and "Thumper" (every morning, he'd jump from the fence onto kittykitty's house with a thud - full on beard.

@geist- haha -i know! Sometimes he skips that step. SO many days I'll look out window - nothing. Turn to get a tissue, and he's at the window. scares the sh*t out of me so many times!! But when it's raining/snowing, he sits there, leans out a little and is like, "You see this crap? You see this? I am not going outside. You come to me."
She's at least three surgeries in, and now has tumors under her arm growing really fast, on the lymph nodes. Vet said he'd have to leave her three-legged this time because it's impossible to operate there without it. She'll get new ones so I thought she doesn't deserve that too. She's a hero. Plus three years isn't that bad for a cat. Have her since my 21st birthday, that would be summer 2001.

@Zem - would never work. He will absolutely not come in far enough to do so. And he'd be so miserable. I would want him to be an outdoor kitty. He likes it. Just hate it when the conditions are bad. Batgirl came in a lot- and he'd sit right outside the door watching her like "DAFUQ ARE YOU DOING?!?!?!" He'd be moving his head around, like "Oh wait.. no LOOK! what?!?!"

@idle - it's rough when they can't tell us what they want. We, the parents, have to make all those decisions for them. It's such a difficult one. But something to be decided unselfishly. Sorry you have to make that decision. :(

Luckily we have a better system of feedback than a couple of years ago.
So it's not all bad. Just tedious and sometimes it gets defensive, because you have to justify overtime and missed deadlines due to other projects taking priority. Oh well, here I go.
