@GCoD: Yeah...I just spent ~120 on the Faith game...and it's coming from the UK too...so that is definitely not going to be something I will be backing(the FF6 dice). They do look nice...but no chance of me spending that much on one die. Turns out to be $25 Canadian, according to the most recent conversion rate I have access to.

Those FF6 die are nice looking, but yeah a bit pricey. While not as nice as CNC'd metal, you could 3D print something similar easily enough. Make the internal hollow and put in a pause point to add some weight if you choose.
@GCoD: Yeah, a series never is the same if another author finishes it. Take The Wheel of Time. Robert Jordan passed, and still have some books to finish off the series, his wife and children(or child, can't remember if he only had the one or not) interviewed other authors to finish it. Brandon Sanderson was chosen, he did a good job, but it wasn't quite the same as the way Robert wrote.

Before he pasted (according to his website) Prattchet's daughter was in line to continue the Discworld series.
Well, the only good thing about Wheel of Time, Mr. Jordan left so much in terms of notes, and plot lines, and everything, that Mr. Sanderson was able to step in and see where it was supposed to go. It was just the writing style that changed things, and the fact that Sanderson wasn't used to doing 5+ story lines in the same overall story.
@Geist: If by book you mean 14 books, then I recommend it. There are a few of the books(I know #4 in the series is one of them) that start SUPER slow, like almost 1/5 of the book is slow and hard to keep attention. But most of them draw you in, and make you forget you need to be up at a certain time, then realize you can just BARELY snag 2hours of sleep.

I have so far only read 1 book of Wheel of Time, my friend gave book telling me the he had 2 copies, when i finished he told me that the author is dead and series unfinished.
@Juha: The series did finish, within the last couple of years. If you enjoyed the first one, I definitely recommend getting the rest. I borrowed the first one from a friend, and before I had it finished I owned everything up to what was released(book 10 was out at that point).

@GM, At the moment, I'm a student, with no work that pay's me, I'm using more money on my rent each month that I'm gaining. Also I'm supposed to use all my time on my thesis, I have deadline on 3 weeks and my theory part is has maybe 1 chapter so far. So before I get a job that pays me I keep expenses down and finish school, no hope for that, thought I would love to finish that book series, and couple of other book series... I just need money and time.
Though it would be awesome to get those playtest decks, I'm gonna be done with school about time when playtesting is to start so I would have all the time till I find some place that is willing to employ this soon-hoping-to-be Engineer

There are "select" buses- they run express. Normally you swipe when you get on. These have little kiosks at the stop. You swipe, grab receipt, then when bus pulls up everyone just gets on. It moves much faster. Every few stops, agents get on and check for receipts. Tickets can get up to $175.

**I'm not a lawyer, don't take legal advice from me.
Generally if they don't have 'reasonable' suspicion that a crime has, is, or is imminently about to be committed they can not search you. They can ask for your consent to search. They can ask you to empty your pockets. They can ask whatever they want. If you politely tell them "I decline your search request due to my 4th amendment rights" and they search you anyway, a good lawyer would probably get the case dismissed immediately. Because of this they often don't bother. (reasonable is hard to define legally, but if you're just sitting on the bus and not threatening people, you're fine)
For example, if a cop stops you at random and asks if you to empty your pockets and you expose a joint, they can then arrest you. If you decline, they can't search you until you are arrested, so if they did search you before you were arrested to arrest you, then both the search and the arrest are illegal.

I think you'll find some of her "rights" are actually impeded by being on _their_ bus, and it is their enforcement officers. Once she cannot supply a fare receipt, she's boned as afar as legality goes. They can ticket her for the fare, but likely not for anything really illegal -- they'd have to hold her, and have municipal cops do that.

In the last election I voted on 27 positions and propositions. ONE of my selections won, which was a roads package.
@TEP: My preference for calling it supper/dinner is just to say foodage.

Breakfast is what's for Dinner, so I fail to see the importance of a loosely defined term. Especially given the multiple timezone thingy.

Well, this sucks. I am delivering, lost my receipt for the bus and got pulled off and ticketed. I'm trying not to get upset, but am crying on the bus. This ticket is going to cost me all that I delivered if it's not overturned

They had me open all the boxes because I forgot to grab my id and making sure they were, In fact desserts. I walked out of apartment and realized I forgot it- but was bogged down with boxes and running late- didn't want to go back.

What would be in there but dessert? Nobody would be stupid enough to carry around a box of pot.
(btw, even if you were carrying around a box of pot, they aren't legally allowed to search without your consent without cause. Bus fair is a civil matter and not just cause.)
I just wanted to be agreeable and be done with it. If they were going to frisk me- then I would have asked for a female cop. I would guess their just cause was unmarked boxes, no Id? Im not familiar with too many laws to argue it.

@Creeper: I had no idea the buses in NY are like that. I thought once you get on one, that is it.
There are "select" buses- they run express. Normally you swipe when you get on. These have little kiosks at the stop. You swipe, grab receipt, then when bus pulls up everyone just gets on. It moves much faster. Every few stops, agents get on and check for receipts. Tickets can get up to $175.
$175? Wow. I hope that is for the whole month.

Generally if they don't have 'reasonable' suspicion that a crime has, is, or is imminently about to be committed they can not search you. They can ask for your consent to search. They can ask you to empty your pockets. They can ask whatever they want. If you politely tell them "I decline your search request due to my 4th amendment rights" and they search you anyway, a good lawyer would probably get the case dismissed immediately. Because of this they often don't bother. (reasonable is hard to define legally, but if you're just sitting on the bus and not threatening people, you're fine)
For example, if a cop stops you at random and asks if you to empty your pockets and you expose a joint, they can then arrest you. If you decline, they can't search you until you are arrested, so if they did search you before you were arrested to arrest you, then both the search and the arrest are illegal.
I think you'll find some of her "rights" are actually impeded by being on _their_ bus, and it is their enforcement officers. Once she cannot supply a fare receipt, she's boned as afar as legality goes. They can ticket her for the fare, but likely not for anything really illegal -- they'd have to hold her, and have municipal cops do that.
