My day was crap. And I know you guys don't know me, or have had me wait on you. But I've been in the restaurant industry for longer than I'd like to admit. This weekend was the worst I have EVER had in my years and years of doing this. A rundown of the god-awful tips: $5 on $600.... FIVE SINGLE DOLLARS. $2 on $120, $10 on $280, $5 on $165, $4 on $140, and 5 on $190.

These are Tables that I helped set up an engagement proposal for, took pictures for, looked at pics of their kids, laughed and joked with them, bent over backwards. Two of them told the managers how great I was. So I've had it. This weekend has broken me. I seriously can't do this anymore. I can't be someone's servant for two hours and get treated like this. The last table saw me crying because it absolutely broke me. I heard him say "she upset or something? Did we give get enough?" Woman: "not my problem"

Personally I would study for the test trust me on this one having fun has gotten me so many times when I should be doing homework or studying for a test.

My day was crap. And I know you guys don't know me, or have had me wait on you. But I've been in the restaurant industry for longer than I'd like to admit. This weekend was the worst I have EVER had in my years and years of doing this. A rundown of the god-awful tips: $5 on $600.... FIVE SINGLE DOLLARS. $2 on $120, $10 on $280, $5 on $165, $4 on $140, and 5 on $190.
Also you use a lot of REALLY to get your point across. So in that case since you took the time to hold down the shift key... You can take a break. If you know it that is
These are Tables that I helped set up an engagement proposal for, took pictures for, looked at pics of their kids, laughed and joked with them, bent over backwards. Two of them told the managers how great I was. So I've had it. This weekend has broken me. I seriously can't do this anymore. I can't be someone's servant for two hours and get treated like this. The last table saw me crying because it absolutely broke me. I heard him say "she upset or something? Did we give get enough?" Woman: "not my problem"
But then again you could have the world at the tips of your fingers with the Internet....

People really tip that? I tip that much for like 20-30 dollars.
In conclusion- people are awful, I had a bad three days and I'm a broken woman.
That a real shame. I want you to know if I could get on land and eat your food I'd give you a 150% tip
@the creeper If the meals are that good you should have a minimum tip wage like 20% or so. Or at least that's how some restaurants I've been to work.
I sat in the private room and just cried for ten minutes. My spirit really is crushed. I know when I've done a subpar job on a table, messed up, forgotten something, maybe had an attitude. This was never the case with any of these Tables. I really can't do this anymore. But I dont k ow how to take my own business to a level of financial stability.

Like I said if someone could even pay $600 on a meal you should have a requirement $100 or more is equal 25% or more. Or 5 people or more is equal to 20% or more.
Our company would never do it. I saw it go from a small business and grow Into a greedy corporation. Cutting shifts so they didn't have to give people health I surance...etc. they give zero fcks about how we're tipped
And because I've had three days in a row of an awful average- 16%, 16, and 15- I'll probably be called to the main office and be accused of stealing money or doing. Bad job. A
I do want you to know that if I ate there it would cost around 1500 just to feed me barely. Now if I brought my family....

Don't worry, creeper, I know a few people who've done that for years. That's every food company, so it's not just your place, it's the whole goddam business. Just study chemistry like me so you can get a huge debt for college but hopefully, hopefully, a high-paying job that's fun and dangerous later on.

And derp, creeper answered the question for me, though I really should study. The exam is first thing in the morning and I have no idea what I'm doing in that class. It has shown me I wouldn't ever do analytical chemistry, though. If you loved stats class, this is the field for you! Not me.

I think the kickstarter is a legitimate thought. Just a lot of moving pieces to deal with. And a business needs sustainability. If I had consistency, I'd be ok. But some months are dead whereas others are nearly impossible for me to keep up

Well, I think I should at least get some random equations and a couple uses in my head before I go to sleep tonight, which happens to be in 45 minutes because this class/test is also very early.

Wine may not be strong enough. Put 2 oz wine in 1 bottle everclear or even pure ethanol if you puny non-chemists have access anywhere, I don't know, but that should be enough alcohol to wipe away the whole weekend. And then some.
omg. i seriously would love to get so incredibly drunk i forget who i am for a few days. if only i could do it without the hangover. Kittykitty is staring at me in the shadow of night currently. it's kind of creeping me out.
