@Trinkets- I think it's because he's using proper english. Like how we're taught super formal and proper forms of words and phrases in another language. I get that a lot with customers at work who are visiting. Their English is very proper - albeit choppy and broken.

I have a Brazilian aunt, who taught english in Brazil. She is 70+ years old and has been doing it most of her life. And this guy speeks/types it better than her.
Also there's no guarantee of quality I would expect of him so he could be saving a bunch on just sending people a funkily cut chunk of wood with holes poked in it.
