@GCoD, The last piece didn't fall into the slot. I just would/ve had to reverse the piece and measure it out in order to use the miter gauge the same way I had for the other seven. To each his own about using sleds though.

I get your point though. A sled would have allowed me to cut that eighth piece. However, I would have had to make a sled and it would have turned a minor project into a main one. The saw blade was raised up almost an inch to clear the stock, so I would have had to make the sled higher to avoid cutting it in half too. What would be really cool would be to make a sled with a micrometer stop mounted right on it. That would really come in handy for crosscut work.

My sled is based on a design the used in the Monsanto model shop in the 60's ... so likely isn't widely seen. It does take time to make, but I almost never use the saw without it unless I am just ripping stock.

So my Video was receiving some Likes (Lydia got some feedback after sharing) this morning after it had 364 it took about 15 minutes to actually jump to 366 Likes but more should have been add.
I just received this in the Analytics Page
