Geist de la Muerte Gatito 2015-07-16T11:09:43-04:00
@Geist, thanks, I'm sorry to hear about Neko. I'm just lucky that my good friends that were looking after him two weeks ago noticed something was off and took him to get his blood work done. They made all of this possible, if it had gone on for any longer, surgery wouldn't have been an option. We are very lucky indeed.
Rod "BaKhan" Mitchell 2015-07-16T11:14:14-04:00
@GM, thanks bro. If they wouldn't have been so positive about it, I wouldn't have put him through it. He's a Rotty crossed with an Australian sheppard, so being 10.5 I knew we didn't have much longer, but they say if the surgery is successful he might get as much as another 2 years.
Two more years is definitely better than having to put him to sleep earlier because of the cancer.
Rod "BaKhan" Mitchell 2015-07-16T11:20:34-04:00
@GM, with out the surgery they would have only given him 1-2 months, so I didn't think I had a choice. He loves life so much, he's such an out going and friendly guy, as long as it will be a quality two years and not a suffering two years, I'll take what ever I can get. The one thing I will not let happen is for him to suffer.

@BaKhan: I have a cookbook on how to incorporate "adult oregano" into all sorts of different desserts. The author of that book has another one that shows how you can incorporate it into dinner type foods. I also backed a campaign here on how to infuse butter with that stuff. (Pity I won't be able to travel to the class)
Geist de la Muerte Gatito 2015-07-16T12:02:45-04:00
@Trinkets: Your muffin was probably 800 calories. Time to go for a walk to get rid of at least half of that.
Geist de la Muerte Gatito 2015-07-16T12:03:58-04:00
they did have litte green specs all through them
You didn't do it right. If you infuse the butter just so, you can get all of the benefits without seeing any specks at all. Nothing crunchy anyway.
Rod "BaKhan" Mitchell 2015-07-16T12:05:20-04:00
@Geist, funny enough, when I was in Turkey 4.5 years ago, I went to a spice shop and spent over $100, in gratitude they gave me a ziplock bag of organic oregano, which looked exactly like "adult oregano", needless to say, it did not come home with me. Try explaining that one to customs! lol!
Rod "BaKhan" Mitchell 2015-07-16T12:07:38-04:00
@Geist, yes the infused butter won't show the specs, but it also doesn't pack the same punch. It loses some potancy in the process, that isn't shared by using it as a dry ingredient. The key is that in order for the body to digest it properly, it needs to be made fat soluable. Watch your dose!
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-07-16T12:08:23-04:00
You mean you used a full bag of oregano in just one trip? You da man!
Ah, finally have food in my belly....only ~2hours later than normal...but hopefully it will fuel me for the day.
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-07-16T12:26:53-04:00
If i don't code in today, I'm on a mission, so don't worry or send out the Air Force search party like that last event. Let's learn from our mistakes, ok?
Okay, we'll send in Seal Team 15. They've been itching to be let out...but after last time, I am a little apprehensive.
Geist de la Muerte Gatito 2015-07-16T12:44:11-04:00
@BaKahn: I'm going to have to check on that. According to the 420Chef and the author of the Pot Cookbook, infusing the weed in butter gives you a longer high than smoking it. You just have to melt the butter in a small crock pot for a few hours and then strain it.
Geist de la Muerte Gatito 2015-07-16T12:44:52-04:00
First the system goes down, then a fire drill. What next?
Rod "BaKhan" Mitchell 2015-07-16T12:48:10-04:00
@Geist, oh there is no doubt that eating it is way different then smoking it. I meant that in the process of making the butter, you lose some potency, vs. using a decarboxylation process (very easy) and adding as a dry ingredient. Temperatures are critical, too low, doesn't work, too high burns off the activated ingredients. If you are using an electric range, you may have issues, my advice would be for the butter process use an acurate candy thermometer.
Paul Long Jr 2015-07-16T12:56:06-04:00
Thanks @Geist, I'm at work right now and didn't have time to read very far down in comments.
@Trinket, didn't know about his dog. That definitely sucks.
Geist de la Muerte Gatito 2015-07-16T12:58:14-04:00
@BaKhan: When I checked out the 420Chef's website, a photo of the equipment that you will need shows a small crock pot. That and a candy thermometer should make sure that you don't heat up the butter too "high". Get it? I made a funny!
Rod "BaKhan" Mitchell 2015-07-16T14:23:33-04:00
@Geist, sounds like you have things well in hand! Just remember, you sing the low parts and brother I'll sing mine high!

How about a new update? Like shipping has commenced? That would make my day!
John "Collar Stay" Kelly 2015-07-16T14:36:46-04:00
They made a comment on Facebook yesterday that shipping will start in two weeks, just as it states in their info-graph.
John "Collar Stay" Kelly 2015-07-16T14:45:04-04:00
I have come to the conclusion...that reading must be hard. Every day, same questions, that were all answered in the last few updates(if not just the last one). Or even questions that are taken from the FAQ....Or the best yet...something that I KNOW was in the last few updates...something about shipping addresses.
Haven't been around much today. My roommate did wake up the other morning to a kitten hanging from the screen in the window, just staring at her! I think they're out playing in the neighborhood at the moment.
I just had a chocolate cake slice...nice little surprise in my lunch. Also currently staring at some cherries that I may end up devouring in a few minutes.
Also...I think I need to get to a chiropractor soon. My neck is stiff, my lower back hurts every now and then, my knees feel like someone is stabbing them with a rusty razor from time to time, and just now, my left shoulder blade has started in with a dull ache....at almost 28 years old...I'm too young to be having some of these issues(except lower back, put that out working in a warehouse years ago lifting a 20gallon pail that was 3/4 concrete the wrong way).
Rod "BaKhan" Mitchell 2015-07-16T15:57:34-04:00
@GM, sounds like a posture issue. Check your office chair and set it and the arm rests to the right height. Also check your shoes for wear might be time for a new pair. If you haven't tried it before yoga could really help.
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-07-16T15:59:53-04:00
My back, knee, elbow, wrist, and neck all hurt, GM. But that all stems from the problem in my back. It's pretty bad.
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-07-16T16:00:27-04:00
@BaKhan: I probably could use new shoes...these ones aren't the greatest for distance walking...and considering I walked from the Bridgeland station to the office today...that could explain some of the pain today. As for my chair...my arms very rarely(unless I'm just talking to someone in my office) on the armrests. They are usually on my desk in front of me. Of course, it could be because of the walk through the rain(had to walk into it, slightly hunched over), or because of problems I never got looked at when they happened, or even yet.
Rod "BaKhan" Mitchell 2015-07-16T16:19:47-04:00
@GM, that could be part of the problem, you should be sitting upright with your back against the back of the chair. The leaning forward part will kill your back. It took me a long time to realize this. Since I made the adjustments to my chair, my back problems have all but gone away. Now it only bugs me when I'm shoveling heavy snow. Also, dress shoes don't often lend themselves to any kind of walking, especially long distance. And lets face it, you're too damn tall! I don't know what advice to give you there! ;)
Oh, I'm not leaning forward with my arms on my desk. I'm actually sitting so my back is against the backrest for my chair. The arms of my chair BARELY sneak under my desk to allow that(they actually get forced under a little...but I'm willing to sacrifice them a bit for that).
Geist de la Muerte Gatito 2015-07-16T16:34:05-04:00
at almost 28 years old
I'm old enough to be your mother and I don't ache that much. Are you sure you aren't having a Benjamin Button moment on the inside?
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-07-16T16:35:45-04:00
I could be. I've had worse problems like all that since I was 14 or 15 than most people have most of their lives.
Rod "BaKhan" Mitchell 2015-07-16T16:36:21-04:00
@GM, okay fine. I'll quit my arm chair doctorin'. lol! Hope you feel better soon!
Eric 'Trinkets&Nopes' Baumgarten 2015-07-16T16:51:16-04:00
Almost 28? You ate still young and vibrant. Some of us old farts, we ache all the time.
Eric 'Trinkets&Nopes' Baumgarten 2015-07-16T16:52:52-04:00
Creeper, screen hanging kittehs are some of my favorite. Way better than drape hanging kittehs.
I've also spent the last 11 years abusing my body through work, and not practicing proper lifting technics. Warehouses, kitchens, Costco, and the likes of those. Most of it can probably be attributed to not picking items up properly, carrying things solo that probably should have been a two person carry. Not to mention the afore mentioned putting out of my back...and never getting it looked at.
Geist de la Muerte Gatito 2015-07-16T16:56:03-04:00
@GM: Now THAT can mess you up. When I was a GNA, I use to have to turn very obese residents in their beds while working 16 hour shifts. I'm surprised my back survived at all.
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-07-16T17:45:14-04:00
Yeah? Well when I was a boy...!
Finally done cleaning, doing sprints to Omaha, and got my snack and a computer. Time to slip into a mini-internet-coma!

Hola, skunk!
Mmm, love me some nice Danish Meatballs with brown [gravy]!
Really, the gravy is made with something which translates as "Brown". Just brown. I'm still not sure if it's a flavoring or just a coloring. Guess what color it is!
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-07-16T20:48:55-04:00
Trinkets, what about greased lightening?
Eric 'Trinkets&Nopes' Baumgarten 2015-07-16T20:50:50-04:00
I guess I can't confirm the FB one. Someone said it earlier. So I guess it's only hearsay.
Danish meatballs? I've heard of sweedish meatballs, but not danish. How are they, Zem?
Eric 'Trinkets&Nopes' Baumgarten 2015-07-16T20:52:32-04:00
The song, or the cleaner?
Eric 'Trinkets&Nopes' Baumgarten 2015-07-16T20:53:11-04:00
I guess the color is brown.
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-07-16T21:15:02-04:00
The Danes were the ones who conquered the Nordic lands, greenland, and even parts of northern Europe for a time, including half of England, so Swedish meatballs are the ripoff if you ask Mikkel, our 2013-2014 exchange student who's here again now.
And yup, it's brown. I so wish it were like a light pink or something. They're really good pork meatballs with mashed potatoes and Brown.

Thanks @Geist, I'm at work right now and didn't have time to read very far down in comments.
@Trinket, didn't know about his dog. That definitely sucks.
@BaKhan: When I checked out the 420Chef's website, a photo of the equipment that you will need shows a small crock pot. That and a candy thermometer should make sure that you don't heat up the butter too "high". Get it? I made a funny!
@Geist, sounds like you have things well in hand! Just remember, you sing the low parts and brother I'll sing mine high!
How about a new update? Like shipping has commenced? That would make my day!
They made a comment on Facebook yesterday that shipping will start in two weeks, just as it states in their info-graph.
Most likely still in the shipping label phase.
I have come to the conclusion...that reading must be hard. Every day, same questions, that were all answered in the last few updates(if not just the last one). Or even questions that are taken from the FAQ....Or the best yet...something that I KNOW was in the last few updates...something about shipping addresses.
Good Afternoon, Kittens!
Hello Creeper. How are the kitties today?
Haven't been around much today. My roommate did wake up the other morning to a kitten hanging from the screen in the window, just staring at her! I think they're out playing in the neighborhood at the moment.
Sounds like a normal kitten thing to do...did she at least sound startled?
Howdy Creeper! Would you care for a Bratwurst or some brownies?
@GM, sounds like a posture issue. Check your office chair and set it and the arm rests to the right height. Also check your shoes for wear might be time for a new pair. If you haven't tried it before yoga could really help.
My back, knee, elbow, wrist, and neck all hurt, GM. But that all stems from the problem in my back. It's pretty bad.
https://www.youtube.com/watch…
@BaKhan: I probably could use new shoes...these ones aren't the greatest for distance walking...and considering I walked from the Bridgeland station to the office today...that could explain some of the pain today. As for my chair...my arms very rarely(unless I'm just talking to someone in my office) on the armrests. They are usually on my desk in front of me. Of course, it could be because of the walk through the rain(had to walk into it, slightly hunched over), or because of problems I never got looked at when they happened, or even yet.
The arms of my chair BARELY sneak under my desk to allow that(they actually get forced under a little...but I'm willing to sacrifice them a bit for that).
at almost 28 years old
I'm old enough to be your mother and I don't ache that much. Are you sure you aren't having a Benjamin Button moment on the inside?
I could be. I've had worse problems like all that since I was 14 or 15 than most people have most of their lives.
@GM, okay fine. I'll quit my arm chair doctorin'. lol! Hope you feel better soon!
Almost 28? You ate still young and vibrant. Some of us old farts, we ache all the time.
@GM: Now THAT can mess you up. When I was a GNA, I use to have to turn very obese residents in their beds while working 16 hour shifts. I'm surprised my back survived at all.
Yeah? Well when I was a boy...!
Finally done cleaning, doing sprints to Omaha, and got my snack and a computer. Time to slip into a mini-internet-coma!
Why is it so dead here in the evenings and afternoons? Only the early morning is busy.
Time is relative, man.
Any word about Bakhan's dog?
Only that surgery sucks, something almost any human knows.
WHERE IS MY FREAKING DECK OF CARDS? Sounds like Greece all over again
Time isn't my relative. If it were, I'd ask it to loan me some money until next Tuesday
Thats what Grease does all the time..
@Señor..... if only the last update had a nifty Oatmeal drawing of when the cards might ship, or a Facebook post that says in about 2 weeks...
Oh wait....THEY DID.
Grease helps lubricate moving metal parts.
Hola, skunk!
Mmm, love me some nice Danish Meatballs with brown [gravy]!
Really, the gravy is made with something which translates as "Brown". Just brown. I'm still not sure if it's a flavoring or just a coloring. Guess what color it is!
Trinkets, what about greased lightening?
I guess I can't confirm the FB one. Someone said it earlier. So I guess it's only hearsay.
Danish meatballs? I've heard of sweedish meatballs, but not danish. How are they, Zem?
The song, or the cleaner?
I guess the color is brown.
Lube helps grease fleshy parts
Indeed.
Is this another innuendo? Either way, I'll just mind my own business now.
That wasn't an innuendo, what Geist said was perry straight forward.
*pretty straight forward.
Sometimes I have no idea why autocorrect does what it does.
Kitten Corps still at it I see. haha
Howdy Cal! Long time man. I'm just checking in before bed, so don't bother responding if you see this
