@Idle: Nope. I just yearn for the precious that Creeper has and Ex keeps hiding from me.
Mono vision is when one contact has a prescription for long range views and the other contact has a prescription for seeing things up close like reading a menu. Your brain is suppose to make the adjustment so that it FEELS like both your eyes are seeing far away or up close. Except my brain has said "I'm lazy! Screw this!" and I end up having a difficult time reading or walking down the street.
Broken legs and empty kegs
And kitties fly tonight
Towards the stars, and some to bars
Following the light.
Kitty soul, beloved mate
Wearing a crown
Rest in peace, my soul release
So I'm no longer down.
Geist de la Muerte Gatito 2015-07-20T10:19:10-04:00
And Idle: It's perfectly normal to have sad feelings for your beloved cat. I cried for several days when Neko passed away and when I lost Inspector. I force my brain not to think too much on them because I ALWAYS end up crying. I just try to remember the good times with them.
Like the say Inspector would jump on my bed, flop to the side and then look at me as if to say "Ok. When are you going to give me a belly rub?"
Geist de la Muerte Gatito 2015-07-20T10:24:34-04:00
Nice poem Idle. As usual, BaKhan is better at putting into words what I was trying to say. I don't know if I'll ever be ready to have another pet. The pain of losing them is too much for me but I know other folks who have done it and it has been nothing but a positive experience.
Geist de la Muerte Gatito 2015-07-20T10:25:19-04:00
I'm ready for a new one. Been preparing for the moment for several months now. But you can never be prepared about such things, right?
Now The Man is the one standing between me and happiness. Him and his allergies.
Rod "BaKhan" Mitchell 2015-07-20T10:38:47-04:00
@Idle, there are ways he can deal with his allergies! There are many different ways he can deal with it, from over the counter medications, to getting a shot at the doctors office. The majority of the reason people are allergic to animals is lack of exposure. I have know several people who have been able to over come allergies, to be with the pets that they love. You tell The Man, that this is what you need, and if he loves you, he will find a way to make it work!
Mama cat outside is getting big. It sucks its so hot and humid. She must be miserable.
Chris Johnstone 2015-07-20T10:41:44-04:00
I have not been following the comments here, mostly because you guys are a very active group, and chat a lot, so keeping up would be a bear. Seeing as how it is July 20th, I feel it is fair to ask if Shipping has started?
She was my birthday gift when I turned 21. I had the worst allergies for two weeks but I loved every second of it.
When I moved out, I started having them again every time I visited. So, I know :)

Rod "BaKhan" Mitchell 2015-07-20T10:48:13-04:00
Did you ever wonder why,
the good things that make you cry,
why the tear falls from your eye,
when you miss your little guy?
Why the sun seems not as bright,
when getting up is such a fight,
why the world feels so full of spite,
and nothing seems to be right?
There are no proper explinations,
for our tears, our fears, or frustrations,
but with times tender minstrations,
our pain, our grief, our loss, it lessens.
Chris Johnstone 2015-07-20T10:48:41-04:00
Old family name from Scotland, so predates the Flintstones by most of 150ish years, but yeah seems like every other character from that show had a rock of some sort in their name. Slate, Rubble, Flintstone, Pebbles.......

And the fact that you know who the Flintstones are gives me a rough estimation of your age. You wouldn't believe how many young people don't know who the Flintstones are. When I mentioned the creators of this cartoon were Hanna/Barbera, they give me a blank look.
Bah! Kids nowadays.

Tomorrow's going to be a bitch. Above 40. I was waiting for a real summer for two years, and I'm missing it out staying inside, sweating up everything I touch. My bones want to crackle in the fires of hell!

Geist de la Muerte Gatito 2015-07-20T12:31:56-04:00

Geist de la Muerte Gatito 2015-07-20T12:49:24-04:00
@Idle: I heard there is a shortage of butter in NY and bakeries are sprouting millionaires every week. I think the answer would be "yes".
Geist de la Muerte Gatito 2015-07-20T13:54:01-04:00
*sigh* Leave it to some of the a**holes on my job to bring back my splitting headache. Pity I took an aspirin. I really should have just gone out to the bar and gotten a drink.
Rod "BaKhan" Mitchell 2015-07-20T14:09:12-04:00
@Geist, sorry about the headache. Just remember, one good turn deserves another! Time to give them a headache!
Could always use an air horn, taped to the bottom of their char so that when they sit it goes off...just make sure you do it after they all leave, and you're on vacation the day it happens.
Rod "BaKhan" Mitchell 2015-07-20T14:17:32-04:00
Or if they have a private office, sneak in when no ones looking with a can of sardines. Poke holes into one of the sides and tape it to the back of a drawer on the outside. They'll never find it and the smell will crush them!
Geist de la Muerte Gatito 2015-07-20T14:25:50-04:00
LOL! You two are sneaky. Remind me never to piss you off. I would find a hundred cats in my cubicle and the smell of the wharf around my desk and wonder what is going on.

@Geist, its a Calgary thing, we like to think of as western justice! Right GM?
Powers of Tesla 2015-07-20T14:38:34-04:00
Hello again all. Sorry to greet and run but I had a busy morning. I purchased a used (VERY used) van yesterday and spent the morning getting the titled transferred, new plates, yadda, yadda, yadda..... Then I wanted to get it to my mechanic, only to find the shop closed due to a collapsed roof and no way to get in touch with him. Phooy.
On the other hand our 15 year Australian Shepard may be on his last legs. He had a couple of days last week when he could get to his feet by himself, and we won't let him suffer. He's getting up now, but slowly. It's just a matter of time I'm afraid.
Rod "BaKhan" Mitchell 2015-07-20T14:40:58-04:00
@PoT, have you tried massaging his hips? I had a friend that had an older rottweiler and he would massage her hips for about 5 mins first thing in the morning, it really seemed to help! I am very sorry to hear that though! I hope everything works out for the best.
Powers of Tesla 2015-07-20T14:45:02-04:00
Actually there is a local woman who had a pool installed with a ramp at her house. She gives dogs hydrotherapy sessions, we take him tomorrow.
Rod "BaKhan" Mitchell 2015-07-20T14:46:04-04:00
@PoT, that sounds like a great idea! That should give him the ability to exercise without straining any joints! Good luck!
Eric 'Trinkets&Nopes' Baumgarten 2015-07-20T14:46:50-04:00
@PoT, I hope that works out.
Too many bad things happening with people's fluffies lately.
Powers of Tesla 2015-07-20T14:49:56-04:00
Thanks guys. I don't expect miracles, I just want him as comfortable as possible. Aussies rarely live longer than 12 years.
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-07-20T14:58:08-04:00
So I ordered something and paid extra for 3-5 day shipping so it would arrive before the weekend. Now supposedly it just got delivered today at noon, 6 days later, but there's no sign anywhere of it. No delivery person, box, or even card in the mail that says it's at the post office. The last 3 things I bought on that site came straight to my house on time, but now that I pay a little extra to get it faster, it comes slower and not at all.
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-07-20T15:00:05-04:00
Oh my God, nearly 2 pages of comments. Tl;dr. will never read all that. Jeez.
Eric 'Trinkets&Nopes' Baumgarten 2015-07-20T15:02:20-04:00
Zem, won't, or can't?

Geist de la Muerte Gatito 2015-07-20T15:09:49-04:00
Coming this weekend, I'm going to purchase some Cherry Jolly Rancher candy so that I can make my Jolly Rancher tequila. Hopefully by the end of the month, I'll be sipping on some CJR flavored margaritas.
Geist de la Muerte Gatito 2015-07-20T15:13:17-04:00
Hope your puppy gets better PoT. I agree with Trinkets. Too many fluffies are getting sick. Has anyone checked on Rowena?
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-07-20T15:19:58-04:00
Check on the precious! It may not be a fluffy furball of joy, but I'm sure you'd agree it's a living being of power and brings joy, so technically it's a pet. Or overlord, it's a gray area. Just make sure it's not sick.
Daryl Janisch 2015-07-20T15:44:16-04:00
I'm sorry, I was looking for the page with comments about Exploding Kittens. I've seemed to wander into a random chat room. *Leaves.*
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-07-20T15:55:58-04:00
That's what you get for not being a part of these comments for months. You don't see how this is all obviously about the kittens!
Rod "BaKhan" Mitchell 2015-07-20T15:57:00-04:00
@Daryl, come again when you can't stay as long...
Geist de la Muerte Gatito 2015-07-20T15:58:52-04:00
@Daryl Janisch: If you had been paying attention at ALL, you would have seen that posters will help answer any questions you have about Exploding Kittens. All you had to do is ask or check the updates section. But since you are a lazy sod, don't let the door hit you were the good Lord split you on your way out of the thread.

Yes it has. I'm okay overall. Thanks for asking. Did you ever make it to one of the EK parties?
Karl E Schroth 2015-07-20T16:26:48-04:00
Hey there, I've moved since I filled out that survey, how do I update my address?
John "Collar Stay" Kelly 2015-07-20T16:29:35-04:00
No, I think they had a couple in Chicago, but I don't think they were around me. How about you?

ADDRESS CHANGE INFORMATION:

@Collar Stay. Yeah, I hosted them. One on N. Milwaukee and one out in Schaumburg.
Eric 'Trinkets&Nopes' Baumgarten 2015-07-20T16:34:31-04:00
Burns my ass that I couldn't get to the Milwaukee one.
Eric 'Trinkets&Nopes' Baumgarten 2015-07-20T16:35:36-04:00
Or in schamburg for that matter.
Powers of Tesla 2015-07-20T16:39:10-04:00
I tried to make the Schaumburg party easy to get to Trinkets. You coulda flown in to Schaumburg Regional Airport in your Learjet and I'd of picked you up.
John "Collar Stay" Kelly 2015-07-20T16:41:14-04:00
Nice, I should have hit up the one in Schaumburg. Milwaukee is a bit far, but I was just up there for a Sox game.
Jessica Seitz 2015-07-20T16:52:27-04:00
As fate would have it, my address has changed. What can I do?
Geist de la Muerte Gatito 2015-07-20T16:55:04-04:00
@Jessica: See down about 6-7, possibly a few more(same page still), comments. Follow those instructions.

Yay for week 38!! So excited!
Rod "BaKhan" Mitchell 2015-07-20T17:04:48-04:00
I'm so looking forward to the deluge of "I haven't got mine yet" comments! Whoo hoo!
Geist de la Muerte Gatito 2015-07-20T17:06:33-04:00
LOL@BaKhan. And you know they are coming along with the "This was all a fraud! I want a refund!" comments
Geist de la Muerte Gatito 2015-07-20T17:07:54-04:00
Wait. Trinkets has a Lear jet? He could have flown me to the Comic Con this year. (Not that I would have gotten in seeing as I don't have a ticket)
Rod "BaKhan" Mitchell 2015-07-20T17:09:06-04:00
Ahhh yeah! The anticipation is killing me! I'll have to settle for the people asking how to change their address (even though they could just read in any number of the updates how to do it...) for now. Its going to be on like an scratch 'n' sniff, ambidexterous, EU friendly, flannel sleeve!
Powers of Tesla 2015-07-20T17:09:48-04:00
Trust me Geist. Anybody who has a Learjet can FIND a comic con ticket.
Rod "BaKhan" Mitchell 2015-07-20T17:10:38-04:00
@PoT, I don't know, the upkeep on the Learjet, may hinder that somewhat... lol!
Eric 'Trinkets&Nopes' Baumgarten 2015-07-20T17:17:56-04:00
Thanks for the douse, Geist.
Right?!! If i had a Lear jet, that would rule!!!
Geist de la Muerte Gatito 2015-07-20T17:18:11-04:00
I wanna see what the surprise in the box will be. Then I'm going to head on over to Ebay to see who is trying to resell these boxes at $800 a pop.
Geist de la Muerte Gatito 2015-07-20T17:19:45-04:00
Is it too soon to wonder what Elan's next project will be?
Eric 'Trinkets&Nopes' Baumgarten 2015-07-20T17:21:25-04:00
BTW, once the shipments get close to being delivered, I may not be on here too much. I don't want the special surprise spoiled for me. And even when people put *SPOILER ALERT* or something at the top of a comment, there's a chance that some of the info is still picked up on.
I won't be spoiling it for anyone. I expect the same courtesy.
Eric 'Trinkets&Nopes' Baumgarten 2015-07-20T17:23:44-04:00
Geist, his next project may very well be hookers and gin.

@PoT, that sounds like a great idea! That should give him the ability to exercise without straining any joints! Good luck!
@PoT, I hope that works out.
Too many bad things happening with people's fluffies lately.
Thanks guys. I don't expect miracles, I just want him as comfortable as possible. Aussies rarely live longer than 12 years.
Oh my God, nearly 2 pages of comments. Tl;dr. will never read all that. Jeez.
Zem, won't, or can't?
I read one page, but that's it. The amount of comments on this page is too damn high!

Coming this weekend, I'm going to purchase some Cherry Jolly Rancher candy so that I can make my Jolly Rancher tequila. Hopefully by the end of the month, I'll be sipping on some CJR flavored margaritas.
Hope your puppy gets better PoT. I agree with Trinkets. Too many fluffies are getting sick. Has anyone checked on Rowena?
Check on the precious! It may not be a fluffy furball of joy, but I'm sure you'd agree it's a living being of power and brings joy, so technically it's a pet. Or overlord, it's a gray area. Just make sure it's not sick.
I'm sorry, I was looking for the page with comments about Exploding Kittens. I've seemed to wander into a random chat room. *Leaves.*
That's what you get for not being a part of these comments for months. You don't see how this is all obviously about the kittens!
@Daryl, come again when you can't stay as long...
They announce on Facebook that the boxes have their labels and they will start shipping next week.
Collar Stay! How you doin'?
I'm well, thanks. How are you? It's been a while.
Yes it has. I'm okay overall. Thanks for asking. Did you ever make it to one of the EK parties?
Hey there, I've moved since I filled out that survey, how do I update my address?
No, I think they had a couple in Chicago, but I don't think they were around me. How about you?
@Karl
ADDRESS CHANGE INFORMATION:
From the post by Elon on the first page of comments on this update: If you need to change your mailing address, please email support@explodingkittens.com with the subject "CHANGE MAILING ADDRESS" so we can make sure that gets done as quickly as possible.
@Collar Stay. Yeah, I hosted them. One on N. Milwaukee and one out in Schaumburg.
Burns my ass that I couldn't get to the Milwaukee one.
Or in schamburg for that matter.
I tried to make the Schaumburg party easy to get to Trinkets. You coulda flown in to Schaumburg Regional Airport in your Learjet and I'd of picked you up.
Nice, I should have hit up the one in Schaumburg. Milwaukee is a bit far, but I was just up there for a Sox game.
As fate would have it, my address has changed. What can I do?
*splashes Trinkets butt with cold water*
@Jessica: See down about 6-7, possibly a few more(same page still), comments. Follow those instructions.
Yay for week 38!! So excited!
I'm so looking forward to the deluge of "I haven't got mine yet" comments! Whoo hoo!
LOL@BaKhan. And you know they are coming along with the "This was all a fraud! I want a refund!" comments
Wait. Trinkets has a Lear jet? He could have flown me to the Comic Con this year. (Not that I would have gotten in seeing as I don't have a ticket)
Ahhh yeah! The anticipation is killing me! I'll have to settle for the people asking how to change their address (even though they could just read in any number of the updates how to do it...) for now. Its going to be on like an scratch 'n' sniff, ambidexterous, EU friendly, flannel sleeve!
Trust me Geist. Anybody who has a Learjet can FIND a comic con ticket.
@PoT, I don't know, the upkeep on the Learjet, may hinder that somewhat... lol!
Thanks for the douse, Geist.
Right?!! If i had a Lear jet, that would rule!!!
I wanna see what the surprise in the box will be. Then I'm going to head on over to Ebay to see who is trying to resell these boxes at $800 a pop.
Is it too soon to wonder what Elan's next project will be?
BTW, once the shipments get close to being delivered, I may not be on here too much. I don't want the special surprise spoiled for me. And even when people put *SPOILER ALERT* or something at the top of a comment, there's a chance that some of the info is still picked up on.
I won't be spoiling it for anyone. I expect the same courtesy.
Geist, his next project may very well be hookers and gin.
