I also vote for abandoning the comments thread while shipping is in progress and until you have received your kittens. As I live far away and across the ocean from the the US as well as in a different timezone, not to mention hemisphere, I will be jumping ship once shipping commences. Normal delivery from US takes 4-6 WEEKS, more if the courier service decides to take breaks.
When I have received my Kittens and the intensely exciting surprise of exxxtreme delightedness, I will only pop into the comments to find out if someone hasn't received their kittens yet. I promise not to spoil the surprise for anyone else.

There is one book I REALLY want...but it goes for $25k on ebay...and there were a limited number of physical books released. I could get it for an e-reader...but I don't have one, and don't plan on getting one. The book is called The First Confessor by Terry Goodkind. It's the back story of how Confessors came to be in the Sword of Truth series.

I have a small collection of autographed boss from my favorite author, R.A. Salvatore, but only one of his first editions. I drive truck for a living however so most of my reading is actually listening, via audiobooks.
What the actual....they said they would never release it after that initial run...those lying bastards! Unfortunately, I have the ENTIRE series in paperback...and unless it comes to paperback, I won't be getting it. I'm also waiting for the latest one in the series, Severed Souls, to come out on paperback....I'm caught up and want it now!

I know BaKhan. I stopped reading Zanth novels around about the time I finished high school. I was looking up the author for some reason and found out that he is still alive and that there were around 40 novels.
I loved his Incarnations of Immorality series. Hard to believe he is 80 years old. I need to meet up before he passes, just to tell him how much his novels mean to me.

I still havent read bretts new book the skull throne but i was enjoying his series alot. Scott Lynch does good stuff but apparently the man has extended bouts with depression so his books come out about as often as martins. At any rate im only couple chapters into wesley chu's "the life of tao" and already hooked....its like james bond meets ghostbusters meets some sort of alien

The other books were like that long already, and I'm perfectly fine with it. More awesomeness to occupy myself with. Also, I read the demon cycle series up to the Daylight War. I really didn't like it too much, but it was interesting enough to keep reading. I don't know if I'll keep up with that series much, but I probably will.

@Geist, that used to be me at a used book store... I have pretty much every book I have ever wanted (that are available anyways), execpt for new ones. Sadly I have a huge stack of books to read and little to no time to read them! Someday, someday...
There is one book I REALLY want...but it goes for $25k on ebay...and there were a limited number of physical books released. I could get it for an e-reader...but I don't have one, and don't plan on getting one. The book is called The First Confessor by Terry Goodkind. It's the back story of how Confessors came to be in the Sword of Truth series.

I have a small collection of autographed boss from my favorite author, R.A. Salvatore, but only one of his first editions. I drive truck for a living however so most of my reading is actually listening, via audiobooks.

@Geist, wow, thats a blast from the past! I can't even imagine how many there must be now, it was well over 20 when I stopped reading Anthony. My favorite stories by him, are probably Bio of a Space Tyrant, Battle Circle, and Steppe.

I know BaKhan. I stopped reading Zanth novels around about the time I finished high school. I was looking up the author for some reason and found out that he is still alive and that there were around 40 novels.
I loved his Incarnations of Immorality series. Hard to believe he is 80 years old. I need to meet up before he passes, just to tell him how much his novels mean to me.
What's better than waking up at 3:30 am to go on a 1 1/2 hour bus ride to a field that's soaking wet and at best 60 degrees? NOTHING! That's what!

Best fantasy author out there right now in my opinion is Patrick Rothfuss with Kingkiller series, also read some Scott Lynch, Peter V. Brett...and just picked up Wesley Chu's "The lives of Tao"...figured i would try his sci-fi book even though i normally stick to fantasy. Find most of the books i read on Goodreads

@BaKhan: I liked that one the least! I can't exactly remember which one was my favorite. I think it was "On A Pale Horse". I know he finished the series with a book from God's perspective. I've got to re-read that series as well.
@Geist, On a Pale Horse, was the first one; my second favorite. I liked the evil one because of the main characters transformation and motivation during the book. At any rate the series is definately worth a re-read.
Nick, I completely agree! Rothfuss is a genius and I can't wait to read the third book in that series. I've figured out some stuff, but the way he writes is amazing, and there're so many mysteries hoping to be solved in the last book.

@Zem/Steve, with 220k backers and the amount of people here asking about address changes, I would assume that somewhere in the neighbour hood of 5 - 10% of backers have moved. That is over 2000 emails and database changes to handle. There is likely only one person handling this. Patience is a virtue. Yes?
Already setting myself up for letdown Micah, with everything hes going to have to accomplish to give me sweet satisfaction in that last book its gonna have to be 1500-2000 pages long....I need more University, doors of stone mystery solved, his coming into magic, denna, the chandry, theres just no way but i digress.....will try to be glass half full.
I still havent read bretts new book the skull throne but i was enjoying his series alot. Scott Lynch does good stuff but apparently the man has extended bouts with depression so his books come out about as often as martins. At any rate im only couple chapters into wesley chu's "the life of tao" and already hooked....its like james bond meets ghostbusters meets some sort of alien

The other books were like that long already, and I'm perfectly fine with it. More awesomeness to occupy myself with. Also, I read the demon cycle series up to the Daylight War. I really didn't like it too much, but it was interesting enough to keep reading. I don't know if I'll keep up with that series much, but I probably will.
The Lives of Tao looks interesting though. Maybe if I see it next time I'm in a bookstore, I'll look more into it.
