Did you check your junk/spam/promotions folder? That's probably where it was.
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-07-27T21:24:23-04:00
Yeah, Mark, it may be a little late now, sorry. I'd contact the support@explodingkittens.com and tell them it was messed up. The survey wouldn't do you any good because they already printed the shipping labels. If you contact support, they'll try to get your kittens to you, but be patient because there seem to have been hundreds of people with problems like this recently, or at least contacting support, so they may take some time to respond. But fear not, they said they'd try to fix it and get everyone's kittens to them no matter what.
Lord Zombitten 2015-07-27T23:25:07-04:00

Just curious has anyone gotten their tracking number yet?
Poz 2015-07-28T00:09:34-04:00
It is true, they have four more days to finish shipping approximately 210,000 boxes of their much anticipated amazing exploding kittens game. Given a 10 hour work day (but I am sure the machines do not sleep), that would be about 1.5 boxes every second and if my assumption is true, 0.6 boxes a second. A well automated machine could probably handle this. But didn't it take a full week for them just to send e-mails to everyone?
I do not think they will meet the deadline, but they seem to be very transparent and not far off from it.
I hope Cheetah Butt is doing well with his campaign.
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-07-28T05:03:06-04:00

Jeff "Great Cane of Doom"™ Saxton 2015-07-28T09:13:50-04:00
If you remember back when they did the Backer Survey, they had to portion out their emails so as to not overwhelm the servers as spammers. I suspect the same thing will happen when they start sending out the emails advising us that shipment has occurred as well.

Hi Kittens!
No Emails, no boxes.
Getting a shipment of wood to build a Jungle Gym for the little ones this weekend. Will upload some photos to the forum if I remember to take them before digging up the garden.
Rod "BaKhan" Mitchell 2015-07-28T09:26:37-04:00
@Kristen, (See I spelt your name correctly this time!), as far as we know, no one has recieved any packages or emails of impending packages. The surprise in the box will be a trinket of absolute joy! Probably scratch n sniff, most likely ambidexterous, possibly plaid, definitely amazing!
Rod "BaKhan" Mitchell 2015-07-28T09:27:45-04:00
@TeP, thats awesome! I'm sure they'll love it!

Aww Ex Prez. That sounds wonderful.
Can I play on it?
Rod "BaKhan" Mitchell 2015-07-28T09:44:49-04:00
@Geist, what you need is the magic flask, it works like the magic grinder, but for booze instead. A quick trip to the cave of wonders should be able to hook you up!
Phillip Jordan 2015-07-28T09:47:44-04:00
I know this is late and they should be shipping soon but my fiance and I just moved unexpectedly and wanted to know if there was any way to change the address and if not I'd they were coming regular postal or like ups so that we can figure things out about getting them
Rod "BaKhan" Mitchell 2015-07-28T09:51:23-04:00
@Phillip, it is in fact too late! The best thing to do is get to the post office, post haste! Set up a mail forwarding service, and rest easy knowing it will be forwarded to your new address. Failing that, when they ship them out there will be an email from the EK team that you can respond to, in order to change your address at that time. They have promised to do what they can to ensure we all get our kittens!
Geist de la Muerte Gatito 2015-07-28T09:51:40-04:00
@Phillip: Did ask the post office to forward your mail? That is one way to up the chances that you will get your cards.

@Geist: Problem is, there is no Bailey's in my coffee...might need to remedy that.
@BaKhan: The backs good, surprisingly not injured after the family reunion this past weekend. Got tackled, unexpectedly from behind, by a 100lb Bernese, then piled on by 4 little kids. No pain, other than my legs from all the physical activity I'm not used to.
Rod "BaKhan" Mitchell 2015-07-28T10:51:49-04:00
@GM, glad to hear it! The best thing about big dogs is you can tackle them back! lol!
Geist de la Muerte Gatito 2015-07-28T10:55:37-04:00
A 100lb dog?! I can't imagine how much kibble a doggy that big eats.
Rod "BaKhan" Mitchell 2015-07-28T11:09:35-04:00
@Geist, according to my pup, 4 cups a day! Had he have been a pure bred he would have been over 150 lbs, but the aussi sheppard cross kept him down to 100lbs, probably for the best! lol!
Geist de la Muerte Gatito 2015-07-28T11:14:06-04:00
@BaKhan: I can just imagine what walking a dog that big is like. The moment he spots a squirrel, you are going to get dragged a few feet to the nearest tree. Good thing dogs can't climb.
Rod "BaKhan" Mitchell 2015-07-28T11:16:11-04:00
@Geist, when he was a puppy he could drag me around. As he got older though, he got better at not pulling on the lead. My wife can walk him with no problems. We normally take him to the dog park the play himself out. This thursday he gets his stitches and staples out, so we will be returning to the dog park soon!

That will be a happy puppy indeed.
I'll stick with cats. They fit my lifestyle for now and the foreseeable future.
Rod "BaKhan" Mitchell 2015-07-28T11:36:57-04:00
@Geist, I've had many of both through the years. I love them both. Dogs are awesome because they actually listen to you and can do tricks. Cats are awesome because they don't! Plus cats are evil and thats always cool right?
Geist de la Muerte Gatito 2015-07-28T11:47:21-04:00
LOL@Creeper
I'm still searching for the Cave of Wonders. I think it's somewhere in Canada.
Geist de la Muerte Gatito 2015-07-28T11:49:43-04:00
@BaKhan: Some cats are very lovable but most are independent which is why I like them so much. Plus they make me laugh in a way that other animals can't.
Funny you should mention cats and dogs. I drank a Snapple with my breakfast and under the cap it said:
Dogs can make about 10 sounds, cats make about 100
Geist de la Muerte Gatito 2015-07-28T11:49:59-04:00
Which proves that cats are women. Even the male ones.
Speaking of cat sounds.. scrunchie was not happy that I only had dry food for him today. He kept following me around the yard with this pathetic drawn out "but moooooooom" sound.
Rod "BaKhan" Mitchell 2015-07-28T11:55:43-04:00
Hey, if you guys are coming up to Canada, you should start in Calgary and that way you can visit GM and myself! Oh the fun we could have!
Rod "BaKhan" Mitchell 2015-07-28T11:58:20-04:00
On a funny(ish) note, our cat Pumpkin is the whiniest cat you'll ever meet, seriously ever, and she loves to caterwal all hours of the day. Our dog, feeling he wasn't getting enough attention has started to copy her! If it wasn't so damn annoying it would be funnier for sure! He sure tries to give her a run for her money!
Geist de la Muerte Gatito 2015-07-28T12:06:08-04:00
@BaKhan: Will you and GM have some of that wonderful maple syrup that I keep hearing about? If so, count me in!
Geist de la Muerte Gatito 2015-07-28T12:08:28-04:00
My Neko and Inspector were quiet cats. They hardly ever meow'd. Not sure if I'd want a chatty kitty. The yowling at night would drive me crazy.
Rod "BaKhan" Mitchell 2015-07-28T12:16:40-04:00
@Geist, if you come, there will be syrup! Oh yes! And yes, the yowling drives me up the wall! We've both got these little mini super soakers that we use to (get revenge!) mitigate it a bit. Its actually good exercise chasing her around with the water gun! I've tried to train my dog to do something about it but he's too smart to mess with her!
So much syrup you could swim in it(not recommended)
Geist de la Muerte Gatito 2015-07-28T13:14:54-04:00
@GM: I just wanna see if it is as tasty as the rumors say it is. I'd have to go in the summertime. I'm not about to find out what a Canadian winter feels like.
@Geist: Only -40, without wind chill. And about 3-10 feet of snow.
Geist de la Muerte Gatito 2015-07-28T13:35:09-04:00
@GM: Oh heck no. 3 feet of snow falling in D.C. would should the whole city down. I can't remember a time where the snow was above 5 feet and with your wind chill, I'd have to have 5 layers of clothes on under a full goose down coat.
We haven't had that bad of a snowfall here lately, but there have been a few times where the city, or portions of, are shut down due to snow. Two years ago(in December) we ended up not being able to leave the community due to the snow. Buses were stuck on the hills in/out(only way in or out is up/down the hills), and even the big 4x4 trucks were getting stuck. Gave me three days off from work and school.
Tyler Anthony Edwards 2015-07-28T13:44:32-04:00
Shouldn't we be getting our decks soon? Like shipping information and the such? Can we expect this week or next week?
Geist de la Muerte Gatito 2015-07-28T13:45:54-04:00
I don't mind getting snowed in as long as I have enough food, booze, internet and books to keep me comfortable. My new apartment has it's own heating/cooling system so I can set the temperature to as warm as I want.
Geist de la Muerte Gatito 2015-07-28T13:51:16-04:00
@Tyler: The decks will be mailed sometime this week. When you will get yours depends on where you live and the order in which they mail the decks
Rod "BaKhan" Mitchell 2015-07-28T14:06:19-04:00
@Geist, that's the way we look at it too! As kids we were always praying for snow days! Too cold / too much snow to get to school and we'd go out and play! Now when it gets below -20 I just want to die! Thank god for remote start!
Geist de la Muerte Gatito 2015-07-28T14:08:42-04:00
@BaKhan: The last big snow fall that we had, people got snowed in for a couple of days and supposedly, people started suffering from cabin fever. I guess that is the one good thing about being an introvert. I don't mind solitude in short burst.
@BaKhan: Back when I was actually in grade school, there was only one week where the schools were closed, and it was when I was in grade 5(a good 18-ish years ago). Even then, they were only closed for 1-day, but the rest of the week parents were supposed to drive their kids to and from school.
Your Kittens are scheduled to start shipping out in the next few days!!!
Check for an email from Blackbox, our shipping folks. They'll go out on a semi-rolling basis. If you don't get your email by next Tuesday, THEN you can start to freak out.
@BaKhan: Yeah, I grew up here in Calgary. So few snow days.
Geist de la Muerte Gatito 2015-07-28T14:44:55-04:00
@BaKhan: D.C. people already know that we are wimps when it comes to snow. You should see the lines at the grocery store when the weatherman merely mentions that we are going to get 2 feet of snow. I've lived here for the most part over 4 decades and people still act like they have never heard of the concept of a "pantry".
John "Collar Stay" Kelly 2015-07-28T14:46:22-04:00
We get more than enough snow here in Chicago
Geist de la Muerte Gatito 2015-07-28T14:53:14-04:00
@Collar Stay: I've heard of Chicago winters. No thank you. You get 8 feet of snow and are still expected to go to work.
John "Collar Stay" Kelly 2015-07-28T15:05:25-04:00
Uphill both ways!
Rod "BaKhan" Mitchell 2015-07-28T15:05:43-04:00
@Collar Stay, Chicago averages 36.1in of snow per year, Calgary averages 51.6in of snow per year. Just saying ;) Definitely not bragging!
John "Collar Stay" Kelly 2015-07-28T15:13:54-04:00
@BaKhan - However, Chicago is smaller and has roughly two million more people than Calgary. So although we get less snow, I would argue that it has more of an impact due to the urban environment.
Geist de la Muerte Gatito 2015-07-28T15:38:02-04:00
D.C. gets (on average) a few inches per year. Certain parts of Virginia and Maryland get one snow flake and schools get a 2 hour delay.
John "Collar Stay" Kelly 2015-07-28T15:41:52-04:00
I need to get back down to D.C. I always have a great time when I visit
Geist de la Muerte Gatito 2015-07-28T15:56:14-04:00
You'll have to let me know when you are coming. I'm sure you didn't see everything and I can show you the places that us residents visit that the tourist don't.
Rod "BaKhan" Mitchell 2015-07-28T16:19:32-04:00
@Collar Stay, either way (no need to argue ;) winter sucks!
Geist de la Muerte Gatito 2015-07-28T16:30:07-04:00
@BaKhan: It only sucks if you are outside in it. If you are toasty warm in bed with a hot toddy, than winter is quite fun.
John "Collar Stay" Kelly 2015-07-28T16:35:49-04:00
I didn't think we were actually arguing haha. Winter does suck. Definitely enjoying this summer.
Geist de la Muerte Gatito 2015-07-28T16:37:43-04:00
I'd rather have a year round fall type weather. I love the way the leaves look in the fall. Not too cold and you can still enjoy the outside.
John "Collar Stay" Kelly 2015-07-28T16:41:42-04:00
Fall is my favorite season. Great running weather.
Rod "BaKhan" Mitchell 2015-07-28T16:41:55-04:00
@Geist, this is true, but when winter can last 9 months, you can get pretty tired of it. The year I moved to Calgary, there was snow on the ground in mid August(!) and it didn't go away until the end of May. All I could think was why the hell did I move here?
@Collar Stay, lolz, we weren't, I just had this really long post about population density in urban centres, blah, blah, and then realized who really cares anyways... my response was more of a yeah, winter blows, it really doens't matter where you are when it hits hard, it sucks! ;) Summer is where its at!
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-07-28T18:45:57-04:00
too much to read, not doing it. Oh, could've just said, "tl;dr". Well, tl;dr. I read some of the highlights, but today sucked, so not sticking around too much. We're just ordering pizza later and watching whatever movie we find. Can't wait for this to be over.
Did you know there's a slight chance detasseling will end the same day the kittens will arrive here?! That would be the best day ever!
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-07-28T18:50:29-04:00
BaKhan, I'll trade you! I LOVE winter! I also love spring, fall, and summer (when it's not too humid). You can have Nebraska, which gets down to -20 F with below -40 windchills and (if you're lucky) a couple feet of snow, and summers easily to or above 100 with the aforementioned humidity of death making the heat index up to 120 or more, and I work in it because I'm stupid like that. The seasons are pretty regular here, though they've been shifting later by several weeks somehow.
I think fall would be my favorite too. I don't know why, but the cold, yet not so cold everyone else is uncomfortable with my year-round t-shirt and shorts combo and the smell in the air are some of the best parts about it. Though it's tough to compete with early spring.
I was hoping to take this to a Con at the end of July. Is there any way to get an update on shipping and whatnot? :<

@Geist, according to my pup, 4 cups a day! Had he have been a pure bred he would have been over 150 lbs, but the aussi sheppard cross kept him down to 100lbs, probably for the best! lol!
@BaKhan: I can just imagine what walking a dog that big is like. The moment he spots a squirrel, you are going to get dragged a few feet to the nearest tree. Good thing dogs can't climb.
@Geist, when he was a puppy he could drag me around. As he got older though, he got better at not pulling on the lead. My wife can walk him with no problems. We normally take him to the dog park the play himself out. This thursday he gets his stitches and staples out, so we will be returning to the dog park soon!
*packs a backpack full of bread, butter and the precious* *Grabs maps* *joins Geist*
That will be a happy puppy indeed.
I'll stick with cats. They fit my lifestyle for now and the foreseeable future.
@Geist, I've had many of both through the years. I love them both. Dogs are awesome because they actually listen to you and can do tricks. Cats are awesome because they don't! Plus cats are evil and thats always cool right?
LOL@Creeper
I'm still searching for the Cave of Wonders. I think it's somewhere in Canada.
@BaKhan: Some cats are very lovable but most are independent which is why I like them so much. Plus they make me laugh in a way that other animals can't.
Funny you should mention cats and dogs. I drank a Snapple with my breakfast and under the cap it said:
Dogs can make about 10 sounds, cats make about 100
Which proves that cats are women. Even the male ones.
That's why i grabbed the maps! Cave of Wonders! Let's Go!
Speaking of cat sounds.. scrunchie was not happy that I only had dry food for him today. He kept following me around the yard with this pathetic drawn out "but moooooooom" sound.
Hey, if you guys are coming up to Canada, you should start in Calgary and that way you can visit GM and myself! Oh the fun we could have!
He sure tries to give her a run for her money!
awhh, that's cute!
@BaKhan: Will you and GM have some of that wonderful maple syrup that I keep hearing about? If so, count me in!
My Neko and Inspector were quiet cats. They hardly ever meow'd. Not sure if I'd want a chatty kitty. The yowling at night would drive me crazy.
@GM: I just wanna see if it is as tasty as the rumors say it is. I'd have to go in the summertime. I'm not about to find out what a Canadian winter feels like.
@Geist: Only -40, without wind chill. And about 3-10 feet of snow.
Shouldn't we be getting our decks soon? Like shipping information and the such? Can we expect this week or next week?
I don't mind getting snowed in as long as I have enough food, booze, internet and books to keep me comfortable. My new apartment has it's own heating/cooling system so I can set the temperature to as warm as I want.
@Tyler: The decks will be mailed sometime this week. When you will get yours depends on where you live and the order in which they mail the decks
@Geist, that's the way we look at it too! As kids we were always praying for snow days! Too cold / too much snow to get to school and we'd go out and play! Now when it gets below -20 I just want to die! Thank god for remote start!
Via Facebook just now! LET THE DRUMROLL BEGIN...
Your Kittens are scheduled to start shipping out in the next few days!!!
Check for an email from Blackbox, our shipping folks. They'll go out on a semi-rolling basis. If you don't get your email by next Tuesday, THEN you can start to freak out.
Until then, DON'T WORRY!
@Creeper: What about freaking out because the kittens are going to be shipping soon? Is that allowed?
I think that's definitely allowed!
@Geist, I always find our American friends reactions to snow amusing!
@GM, I grew up in Sherwood Park, just outside of Edmonton, we had a few snow days. Never enough though...
@Creeper, trinkets trinkets!!!
@BaKhan: Yeah, I grew up here in Calgary. So few snow days.
We get more than enough snow here in Chicago
@Collar Stay: I've heard of Chicago winters. No thank you. You get 8 feet of snow and are still expected to go to work.
Uphill both ways!
@Collar Stay, Chicago averages 36.1in of snow per year, Calgary averages 51.6in of snow per year. Just saying ;) Definitely not bragging!
@BaKhan - However, Chicago is smaller and has roughly two million more people than Calgary. So although we get less snow, I would argue that it has more of an impact due to the urban environment.
D.C. gets (on average) a few inches per year. Certain parts of Virginia and Maryland get one snow flake and schools get a 2 hour delay.
I need to get back down to D.C. I always have a great time when I visit
You'll have to let me know when you are coming. I'm sure you didn't see everything and I can show you the places that us residents visit that the tourist don't.
@Collar Stay, either way (no need to argue ;) winter sucks!
@BaKhan: It only sucks if you are outside in it. If you are toasty warm in bed with a hot toddy, than winter is quite fun.
I didn't think we were actually arguing haha. Winter does suck. Definitely enjoying this summer.
I'd rather have a year round fall type weather. I love the way the leaves look in the fall. Not too cold and you can still enjoy the outside.
Fall is my favorite season. Great running weather.
@Geist, this is true, but when winter can last 9 months, you can get pretty tired of it. The year I moved to Calgary, there was snow on the ground in mid August(!) and it didn't go away until the end of May. All I could think was why the hell did I move here?
@Collar Stay, lolz, we weren't, I just had this really long post about population density in urban centres, blah, blah, and then realized who really cares anyways... my response was more of a yeah, winter blows, it really doens't matter where you are when it hits hard, it sucks! ;) Summer is where its at!
too much to read, not doing it.
