@LordCrash problem is that you could easily print out and then re-sell.
LordCrash - OD | OOoE | WoOS 2015-01-23T14:24:28-05:00
@Evan
I agree. A version for digital devices is imo a good idea but it's nothing you should decide on during a 30 day kickstarter campaign. Maybe they'll do such a version in the future and maybe they even do a second kickstarter for it. ;)
Friedhelm König 2015-01-23T14:25:35-05:00
I am actually becoming scared by the success of this kickstarter. I can't even begin to guess how you are organizing to ship games to 90k backers. Hopefully you can get help. If you send it from you kitchen table and manage to fulfill 100 orders a day you will be busy for some years...
LordCrash - OD | OOoE | WoOS 2015-01-23T14:25:43-05:00
@John
Of course, but that would be just illegal. You could also photograph the cards, reprint them and sell them. It's basically the same thing, you'd just had to photograph the cards first. If you want to do illegal things you'll do so anyway...
@Friedhelm they could just hire a bunch of guys standing outside of home depot to pack the boxes :-) seriously though I wouldn't worry about it, these guys will get it done
Matthew McKinney 2015-01-23T14:29:08-05:00
I would like to see the highest quality cards possible, but NOT plastic. I do not care for plastic cards myself (possibly from playing card games the last 30 years with cardboard). I think a nice SG would be a really well made container that could hold sleeved cards. Like a tin with an exploding cat on the front.
Brian Dickinson 2015-01-23T14:30:04-05:00
I would also suggest that a lot of people do what I've done. Back just $1 right now. Then, if the last stretch goal is about the funding, you up your backing to the level you want. It gets the project to the goals quicker that way.
Paul Parker 2015-01-23T14:30:39-05:00
With the epic success of this project so far, any chance of you guys opening up a stand alone NSFW deck for the same price as the standard deck? I bet there are people who would like that option! Keep up the awesome work guys.
Please add Female Anglerfish card!! maybe player gets to take one card from each of the other players, like how female anglerfish collects male (gonads)... hmm, is this good or bad? anyway, please add her!!

Rod "BaKhan" Mitchell 2015-01-23T14:55:00-05:00
I have ordered many products that come from the EU and never had a break in shipping costs, not sure why its expected in reverse? Many projects have "lower" shipping charges as they have built a portion of the shipping into the cost of the pledge. On a low cost pledge like we see here, there really is no room to build in the freight. Thats why it seems more expensive for shipping than other projects.
Kelly White 2015-01-23T14:55:16-05:00

Shipping to Europe would be cheaper if done in bulk. You would just need somebody to organize shipping within Europe. With the amount of cards they need to print, it may even be feasible to have one print run in the US and one in Europe, eliminating the need to ship something from the US to Europe at all. They will need to have help for shipping anyway.
It will be fun watching this climb from the 11th most funded to #1 most funded KS
Tahlia Latimer 2015-01-23T15:16:35-05:00
Not sure why everyone's getting their panties in a twist about shipping. I'm in Australia and had to pay an additional $20 for shipping, which brought the cost up to about the same I would spend were I to buy it in a games shop here. Except this way I'm supporting the production, aaaaand I don't have to wait for it to arrive in Aus. If you really want the game, think about the pledge as "buying it early", not getting it for cheap.

People seem to want a lot of cards based purely on The Oatmeal comics, but you have to consider that 1. this game appeals to a broader audience than fans of the oatmeal, and 2. many of those cards would probably not fit well with the game theme.

If they're like CAH, then the normal Ultra Pro cards sleeves (used for regular collector cards, MTG, etc) would work:

@Del they have said that they are normal playing card size.
Unless they have EK designs, the sleeves seem like a waste of space/weight for this project. I'd rather have more cards!
