Another cat inspired KS campaign called "Cats are bad at..." was on the front page today it looks kind of cute :-) that being said I have already pledged a fair amount this month on four other campaigns
Chris "The Historian" Loth 2015-01-29T11:55:52-05:00
I think the catnip will make them more aggressive....since they will be wanting to get at the nip, and be exploding on each other to get closer. Chain reactions would be bad there.
@Chris: Fruit cake, they'll never see it coming...
Chris "The Historian" Loth 2015-01-29T12:11:12-05:00
@Evan, should I be throwing the fruit cake at them first to stun them?
@Owen, once we gain the upper hand in The Great Potatten War of 2015 I think that could be a nice high end dish served at some nice bistros around the world.
Chris "The Historian" Loth 2015-01-29T12:12:15-05:00
@Eric, fortunately I'm report building today which means there is a fair amount of down time while I run test reports (nothing like having a slow report program that isn't exactly used as it's intended).
Chris "The Historian" Loth 2015-01-29T12:16:18-05:00
@Allison, even mentioned fruit cake never dies, much like it's physical counterpart.
@Owen, I think you just uncovered the next SG in my Bread pudding KS. (How or why they go together doesn't really matter).
John "Collar Stay" Kelly 2015-01-29T12:17:52-05:00
Plus we need it for the inevitable Potatten invasion.
Chris "The Historian" Loth 2015-01-29T12:22:38-05:00
@John, very true, if we win the war fruit cake may even become revered. (I'm not entirely sure I'm ready to live in that world).
Melissa "The Creeper" Nicole 2015-01-29T12:35:13-05:00
These comments are more entertaining than my netflix binge right now. Though that's not saying much about my own social life - you guys are beating netflix!
Well...there is a truce between the Potattens and Fruitattens in 4025. But it's a very unstable truce.
Eric 'Trinkets' Baumgarten 2015-01-29T12:35:45-05:00
Fruitcake is like Beetlejuice. Someone said it too many times.
Chris "The Historian" Loth 2015-01-29T12:38:51-05:00
@Owen, If the Potattens would stop pushing the Fruitattens wireless mice off the table with impunity the truce would be under considerably less strain. I get the feeling the Potattens hearts just aren't into it.
Chris "The Historian" Loth 2015-01-29T12:40:21-05:00
@Melissa, come for the KS campaign, stay of the EU Friendly-collectors tin-pottaten trinket discussion. Heck, we even though in some future history to meet the FCC mandated educational requirements of this comments section.
And Fruitattens. They're everywhere...and at war with each other.
Rod "BaKhan" Mitchell 2015-01-29T12:45:54-05:00
I think the only way to truly dominate the potatten is to lay down heavy suppressing fruitcake fire and then air drop chives and sour cream! Oh and bacon, lots of bacon!
BruceP - The Chameleon 2015-01-29T12:47:11-05:00
What is this madness? I go away for a well-deserved leezard nap and all potatten breaks loose!
Catzalcoatal 2015-01-29T12:47:20-05:00
Bacon only makes them angry and delicious smelling. It's an enhancer not a deterrent!
Kenneth bartels 2015-01-29T12:47:33-05:00
@rob, bacon is normally a fantastic solution to problems.
Everything is better with the two B's. Bacon and butter.
Rod "BaKhan" Mitchell 2015-01-29T12:49:05-05:00
@Erik S, I'm not talking about some bacon, I'm talking all the bacon, drown the little taters in it! Take that potatten! Uh you want some, you want some, here I got some bacon for ya!
@Josh, which one? The people for the ethical treatment of animals, or people exploding tiny animals! Cause the latter would be cool with it I'm sure...
Bob "Powers of Tesla" Lindley 2015-01-29T12:59:38-05:00
You know, last night I thought it was the combination of too little rest, too much waiting for an update stress and perhaps the random one too many drinks. But now I realize. You people are all seriously demented.
It's good to be part of a community.
Rod "BaKhan" Mitchell 2015-01-29T13:00:57-05:00
@Bob, agreed, it is nice to be in good company.
Eric 'Trinkets' Baumgarten 2015-01-29T13:01:56-05:00
People Exploding Tiny Animals tm. It's the new new!
Eric 'Trinkets' Baumgarten 2015-01-29T13:11:58-05:00
@Evan FTW! !
Bob "Powers of Tesla" Lindley 2015-01-29T13:12:31-05:00
Alright boys and girls. I have a business meeting that I must attend. I want you all to play nicely while I'm gone. No potattens are to be harmed, the fruitcake? Do with it as you will.
Eric 'Trinkets' Baumgarten 2015-01-29T13:13:18-05:00
@BruceP. Would that help the fruitcake or harm the bacon?
Eric 'Trinkets' Baumgarten 2015-01-29T13:13:31-05:00
@BruceP. Would that help the fruitcake or harm the bacon?
Eric 'Trinkets' Baumgarten 2015-01-29T13:13:48-05:00
Double post!!!
Chris "The Historian" Loth 2015-01-29T13:13:56-05:00
@Bob, have fun at your meeting! I'm off for lunch, myself. I promise to not harm the potattens (for now). The fruit cake? I'm just steering clear of it.
It's the Fruitattens I would be more worried about. They are fairly dense, and hit harder since they don't explode. Broken bones make it hard to fight back...so does being blown up...but there is always a chance to survive that if you're far enough away. Fruitattens fly at you fast.
we should aim for 1000 posts every day between now and the end of this campaign :-)
dns12999 2015-01-29T13:20:12-05:00
What we need to combat the potatoens is a bunch of milk, some butter, and a giant mixer and we'll have mashed potatoens!
Melissa "The Creeper" Nicole 2015-01-29T13:20:44-05:00
@Chris Thank you for the warm welcome. I've been a creeper since the beginning. Well, since being backer #7014 (or something like that- yes...i'm proud of being within first 10,000). I usually stay out of comments because I think I'm funny and sadly realize that the tone of my voice and facial expressions increases my humor exponentially.
I think that might be my stash of plastic things that go in your collar to keep it straight.
collar stays
?
Collar stays are very important. I forgot to put some in after ironing one day...collar looked like crap and needed ironing agaiagain by noon.
I think of collar stays as the metal spring things I used while in the Corps. However, I guess the plastic things could also be collar stays.
The only metal spring thing that comes to mind from the Corps. were boot bands... am I blocking out something I don't want to remember?
Google 'Marine Corps Metal Collar Stays' and you will see what I mean.
Oh! Those things, I was thinking about these. http://www.marineshop.net/browse.cfm/blousing-bands-(metal-or-elastic)/4,6950.html
Thank you for your service, guys!
I used the green ones. The metal ones would get stuck in my leg hair somehow.
Thanks Eric. Would love to do it all again! Unless it's fighting the Potatten, then I'll leave that for the youngins.
Same here man.
@Eric: Thanks
@John: Agreed.
BTW, @E.P.DUB. nice touch with the tm
Thanks
...................& still no update. :-(
@Evan, @John, thank you for your service! Will you at least train us youngins' on effective battlefield tactics against the potatten aggressors?
Maybe catnip flavored grubs to stop potattens
@Eric: That's the next SG, but will we reach it in time? Will the plan to stop the madness work?!
Another cat inspired KS campaign called "Cats are bad at..." was on the front page today it looks kind of cute :-) that being said I have already pledged a fair amount this month on four other campaigns
@Evan, the madness is already here...
I think the catnip will make them more aggressive....since they will be wanting to get at the nip, and be exploding on each other to get closer. Chain reactions would be bad there.
Going home to join the potatten battlefield. Going to destroy some on your behalf too, working people!
@Tsveta, fight the good fight! Give 'em hell!
@Chris: NO! We must stop the French from French Frying before it's too late! We must sate their wrath!
Will do, Chris. Will do.
Can someone please give me the short version of how we got on this potatten thing ? I dont want to have to ready 200 posts to find out
Q.)what puts cats to sleep??
A.) Sunbeams coming through the windows!!
Someone should get Tesla-esque on that idea.
@Joshua: I got bored and was hungry: Potato Kitten = Potatten.
@Joshua, I have actual work I need to do, may e someone else can take that herculean task.
http://www.serenitynowblog.com/2012/04/veggie-pets-kitty-cat-potatoes.html
lol figures
I have work to do too Eric...but Potattens are too much of a threat right now.
@Evan, so we're going with appeasement still, huh?
So is the treat of getting fired!
Is it true the game was play tested for the first time one week before the kickstarter?
:O

@Chris: It's the best way to get close to them so we eat their leaders...
@Evan, ah, the strategy is becoming clear to me now. So, are they best with fruit cake or potato salad?
@Eric: Touché. I'm just glad my company is a little more relaxed...and I don't have tons of invoices to deal with today. Nor lots of filing.
@Chris: Best with caramelized onions and a dash of white truffle oil.
@Chris: Fruit cake, they'll never see it coming...
@Evan, should I be throwing the fruit cake at them first to stun them?
@Owen, once we gain the upper hand in The Great Potatten War of 2015 I think that could be a nice high end dish served at some nice bistros around the world.
@Eric, fortunately I'm report building today which means there is a fair amount of down time while I run test reports (nothing like having a slow report program that isn't exactly used as it's intended).
@Chris: Those items were just part of the baked potato at one restaurant I used to work at. Such deliciousness...I might make them at home sometime.
God are we still discussing the fruitcake?! I thought we settled this last night
@Chris: That's the best part, Fruit Cake is incredibly versatile . You can throw it, use it as a shield, and even use it in melee.
Fruitcattens?
The fruitcake will never cease. It is versatile for building, hitting, defending, and in the most extreme(last podsible thing) eaten.
@Mike: Fruitattens.
@Allison, even mentioned fruit cake never dies, much like it's physical counterpart.
@Owen, I think you just uncovered the next SG in my Bread pudding KS. (How or why they go together doesn't really matter).

I think the citrusy Fruitatten legions are also to blame for not falling back when the cease fire was agreed to.
I'm liking this fruitcake trend. Good, Good, let the hate for fruitcake flow through you!
@Owen, well, they were a bit tart over the whole idea of a cease-fire...
Hello, lovely Kitten Exploders.
Welcome back @Sheriff. Look out for the potattens!
And Fruitattens. They're everywhere...and at war with each other.

you should wrap those potattens in bacon and then toss them in a fire pit :-)
Wrap the potattens in bacon, stuff inside a groutatten(ground beef kitten) and then bake like a meatloaf.
There is nothing more terrifying to man, than a hot potatten!
oh man I sure hope someone from PETA is reading this thread lol
They will probably think we are all on drugs.
@Josh, which one? The people for the ethical treatment of animals, or people exploding tiny animals! Cause the latter would be cool with it I'm sure...
Rod, you forgot People Eating Tasty Animals.
@Owen, nice! ;)
You know, last night I thought it was the combination of too little rest, too much waiting for an update stress and perhaps the random one too many drinks. But now I realize. You people are all seriously demented.

People Exploding Tiny Animals tm. It's the new new!
Like minded people tend to havr more fun than most others.
Anyone guess what I picked up for lunch? It is not potatten related.
@Eric B,
Bacon-flavored Fruitcake?
It's either caramelized onions and a little white truffle oil or fava beans and a nice Chianti.
Chicken Salad?
@Evan FTW! !
Alright boys and girls. I have a business meeting that I must attend. I want you all to play nicely while I'm gone. No potattens are to be harmed, the fruitcake? Do with it as you will.

Posting from mobile Eric?
@Eric B,
Probably do bad things to the delicious bacon.
@Owen.... maybe
I need to stay mobile. Hopefully stay one step ahead of the potattens.
woah, i think you've posted more than 1000 comments in less than 24 hours.
