after having been overweight most of my life.. In 2012 I beat the blerch and ran a full marathon. I don't suppose you could draw a Blerch 0.0 to 26.2.. :)

For cartoon-fodder, may I offer up the interesting historical anecdote of the Ship's Kitty: http://www.usni.org/news-and-features/cats-and-the-sea-services - note that there is even a picture in there of "Crewmen on the deck of the USS Olympia using a mirror to play with their cats in 1898..." so the idea of trolling cats with a beam of light goes back pretty far. Once again, the Navy leads the way! Alas, we do not have a ship's cat in JPJ. I would love one, but I could see it curling up in the Mk 32 Surface Vessel Torpedo Tubes (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:MK46_torpedo_launch.jpg) -- which could be bad for the cat -- or strolling across the controller for CIWS (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Close-In_Weapon_System.jpg) or the Mk 45 5"/54 caliber gun (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:5-54-Mark-45-firing_edit.jpg) -- which could be bad for local birds/boats.
