On my way home. Must have dinner.
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-03-10T00:41:27-04:00
Eat! Eat! Eat! Eat!
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-03-10T00:41:42-04:00
Food, glorious food!
Melissa "The Creeper" Nicole 2015-03-10T00:59:05-04:00
I am SO ANNOYED with my landlord right now. I come home to find a giant trashbag in front of my apartment door. He took all the random things i kept in the hallway closet - (which took up maybe one shelf?) and tossed them in the trashbag. Y'think he could have maybe...oh, i don't know... asked me to take it out of the closet... and the closet is 1/4 full. There is hardly anything there.
Melissa "The Creeper" Nicole 2015-03-10T01:00:29-04:00
hrumpg. and now i have to make cookie dough.
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-03-10T01:10:59-04:00
Have to? That doesn't sound like something most people drag their feet about, especially since the end product is cookie dough.
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-03-10T01:19:54-04:00
I have to go to bed, but that's not going to stop me from watching a 1956 episode of What's My Line? with Walt Disney. I thought one was funny because Colonel Sanders came on as the famous guest in his white trademark clothes and famous look in every KFC and, presumably only because it was the 50s even though it was already an international chain, even though the panel wasn't blindfolded, and even though he wrote his name like a normal guest, they couldn't guess what he produced! (His line of products I guess is why it's named that)
Melissa "The Creeper" Nicole 2015-03-10T01:20:29-04:00
when it's a business, it's have to. I have to make cookie dough, so i can wake up tomorrow, make custom cookies, bake 60 of them, decorate them, bake 60 cupcakes, bake 60 brownies, and then deliver them to midtown manhattan without running over stupid people.
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-03-10T01:24:47-04:00
That sounds like fun. Have... fun with that? To cheer yourself up, just eat some of the cookie dough when you're not looking.
Melissa "The Creeper" Nicole 2015-03-10T01:26:13-04:00
haha, i'm good on teh cookie dough. making myself some dinner and... wine... :)
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-03-10T01:26:55-04:00
Haha, there's a 1963 episode of what's my line with Betty White! That'll be funny to watch. I don't think I've seen her when she was that young! But Walt Disney is amazing enough for tonight. So weird to see these household name people from before my parents were even born on a show really as themselves!
...(keep an eye on the wine!)
Melissa "The Creeper" Nicole 2015-03-10T01:31:53-04:00
Would love to watch that episode!
Geist de la Muerte Gatito 2015-03-10T01:32:05-04:00
May I eat some of the cookie dough?
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-03-10T01:33:09-04:00
Whoa, Jerry Lewis on the panel and Walt Disney as the secret special guest. This would've been an amazing episode. Too bad I wasn't born in the 40s so I could have seen and remembered it! Elanor Roosevelt as well. All these people you only see in pictures and books as themselves on a tv show. How did I never see this show before?!

Geist de la Muerte Gatito 2015-03-10T01:39:41-04:00

Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-03-10T01:44:23-04:00

Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-03-10T01:47:42-04:00
What, because I'm a young whippersnapper I didn't get to ever see people who died in the 60s or 70s or so on tv? Or young betty white?
Melissa "The Creeper" Nicole 2015-03-10T01:51:38-04:00
i hate when people say that about me. Always calling me out on my age! I loved listening to music that was popular before I was born. And the same as tv/movies, etc. So it was frustrating when people said those things like "it was before your time" etc. I wasn't clueless. Now-who we should really go after- my friend who is 25 and had no idea who Julia Child was. THAT drove me insane.
Melissa "The Creeper" Nicole 2015-03-10T01:53:22-04:00
This friend came over, adn i had that playing in the background. She just said, "Oh... is this that movie about that women who had a cooking show or something?" I laughed thinking she was being sarcastic. Damn near cut her out of my life.
Melissa "The Creeper" Nicole 2015-03-10T01:54:27-04:00
Zem - you may get me hooked to this show. Haven't watched many before.
Melissa "The Creeper" Nicole 2015-03-10T01:54:45-04:00
had *julie and Julia* playing in the background.
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-03-10T01:55:02-04:00
Even I watched new episodes from Julia Child as a kid! How can you not know her?!
I watched infomercials and cooking shows on sundays out of boredom, and hers was my favorite cooking show. Bob Ross was a spectacle too. ;)
Kevin "Lord Zombitten" Buckner 2015-03-10T01:56:51-04:00
That reminds me of a time when I got a gift certificate to JC Penny. I don't shop there, but I figured I could get a free t-shirt out of it. I found a black t-shirt with a beam of white light passing through a triangle and a rainbow coming out the other side. The words "1973 Tour" are under the picture of a prusm in action. Being a Pink Floyd fan, I said that was the one. The cashier gave me a snide look and condescendingly asked if I even knew what the shirt represented. I was very annoyef
Melissa "The Creeper" Nicole 2015-03-10T01:57:07-04:00
I just looked at her and said, "You really don't know who julia child is?" "No..." "...one of the first women to really bring culinary arts to the home? the writer of one of the most famous cookbooks ever...and and...the ... aagghh..." i just slumped down. She's also the type that works in opposite as you, zem. She thinks it's cute to be clueless about anything that occurred before she was born.
Kevin "Lord Zombitten" Buckner 2015-03-10T01:57:44-04:00
And that's worse than being annoyed
Melissa "The Creeper" Nicole 2015-03-10T01:58:37-04:00
Annoyef indeed. Silly mouth words!!
Kevin "Lord Zombitten" Buckner 2015-03-10T01:59:55-04:00
I have no problem with mouth words. It's these damn finger words that are giving me troubles
Melissa "The Creeper" Nicole 2015-03-10T02:00:09-04:00
I even mentioned Kurt cobain to her. oh! Come as you are was playing on the radio... and she said, "Is that the guy that wore flannel all the time? he's dead, right?" He killed himself in 94, she was born in...90, i think? and then giggled when I became outraged.
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-03-10T02:00:36-04:00
LZ even kids nowadays have that shirt! It's probably the single most famous band tour shirt in history! (apart possibly from beethoven's def jam;)
#punny
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-03-10T02:02:23-04:00
She could've at least said he was one of the most famous suicides in history or something. I tend to not be around people like that. Though a good friend of mine once said in history class, "If Abraham Lincoln was so popular, why didn't he serve a second term?"
Hey, he was elected! You can't win 'em all!
Melissa "The Creeper" Nicole 2015-03-10T02:02:24-04:00
So i, then, decided to become the old grump and rip her a new one. Let her know that I was born in 83, but my dad and older brother raised me to listen to every genre and talented musician in history. Elvis, Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, BB King, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Otis Redding, Ray Charles... etc. And then classical music, and opera, and on and on and on.
Melissa "The Creeper" Nicole 2015-03-10T02:03:26-04:00
Zem- right? Even if she didn't know his music - becuase not everyone listened to it - at least know who he was. blaaagggasdgasdlkfjasdf
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-03-10T02:04:29-04:00
I'm fortunate enough I listen to and love all music like that too. And learned history and geography... basically the only thing I'm not good at on trivia crack is "who was quarterback for the south charleston high school football team in 1902" or something as dumb as that. Nobody pays that much attention to who gets what when unless they memorize every stat.
Melissa "The Creeper" Nicole 2015-03-10T02:04:59-04:00
And Kiss. haha.. my brother loved Kiss... which doesn't fall in line with any of his other musical tastes. It was Kiss, and the smiths, Johnny Cash, the cure.
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-03-10T02:05:07-04:00
I am interested in one thing then... how do you feel towards Nickelback? ;)
I hope this goes how I hope it does.
Geist de la Muerte Gatito 2015-03-10T02:05:11-04:00
Christ in heaven people. Of all the things we have talked about in here THAT comment gets you riled up? And you took it seriously?
I was joking! Of course you can watch all of the old shows and music you want. No law against it. Wasn't judging you either. I have enough music that dates back to the 40's so I don't mind the jokes when they are lobbed in my direction.
Kevin "Lord Zombitten" Buckner 2015-03-10T02:05:28-04:00
I know! So I says to her, I says, "of course I know what Dark Side of the Moon is! Aside from The Wall, it's Punk Floyd's most famous album. This is the album art, and the shirt is clearly to commemorate their concert series promoting said album. How dare you assume that just because I am obviously too young to have seen the show, I would be completely unfamiliar with this amazing piece of work; and, further, that I would be enough of a sheep to purchase a t-shirt whose meaning I did not understand!" She mumbled some apology and I finished the transaction and left.
Melissa "The Creeper" Nicole 2015-03-10T02:05:52-04:00
When it comes to sports i just stare. I really enjoy watching games with friends. And i screamed like a banshee when the Royals made it to the playoffs. But if I don't have a personal connection to the team? *blank stare*
Melissa "The Creeper" Nicole 2015-03-10T02:07:22-04:00
hahah -sorry Geist!! :) I know you didn't mean it seriously! Zem didn't seem bothered by it. It was me. I was having flashbacks to people always saying, "That's because you're young!" I went into flashback annoyance mode.
Melissa "The Creeper" Nicole 2015-03-10T02:07:37-04:00
And LZ - well done! Glad you did that!
C.F. "The Ex-President" Heyns 2015-03-10T02:07:46-04:00
Hi all!
I'm not going to ask what I missed.... yet.
Kevin "Lord Zombitten" Buckner 2015-03-10T02:08:06-04:00
I like the Oatmeals take on sports interviews. That's how I feel about sports in general. Games are more fun when played
Melissa "The Creeper" Nicole 2015-03-10T02:08:24-04:00
Ooh, i haven't seen that. I'll look it up.
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-03-10T02:09:23-04:00
I love watching some things, actually, and just recently discovered watching football can be really fun if you like a team. I love the Huskers, one of dozens of reasons I came to UNL. I also am a scout usher at the games and have only missed a few, less than one a year over the last 6 years now.
Melissa "The Creeper" Nicole 2015-03-10T02:09:48-04:00
I just got defensive of Zem - i didn't want people always calling him out for being young.
i would love it if someone called me a young whippersnapper now... I got carded last month at the liquor store, and I got wide-eyed and said, "THANK YOU!!!" So loud...he laughed and said, "well, now I don't have to look...anyone that thankful is in their 30's." I glared and took my vodka home.
Melissa "The Creeper" Nicole 2015-03-10T02:11:07-04:00
Impressive, Zem! I just (oh crap... a few months ago, i guess!) went to a Husker bar in the city with my firneds (one of whom is the girl i mentioned just now).
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-03-10T02:11:37-04:00
Haha. My plan is to grow a magnificent beard when I'm 20 and see how long it takes before I stop getting carded. Nebraska is a pretty strict close-watching place though. Probably wouldn't stop here till I were about 40.
Kevin "Lord Zombitten" Buckner 2015-03-10T02:11:54-04:00
It's not like I was a child, either. This event took place no more than ten years agi
Melissa "The Creeper" Nicole 2015-03-10T02:12:30-04:00
I'm kind of a bitch at work with carding. I don't know why. I think it's because I never tried to buy booze when i was underage. I was a rule-follower. And these punks are all trying to trick me. NO!
Melissa "The Creeper" Nicole 2015-03-10T02:12:50-04:00
LZ - Well then, that's just lame.
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-03-10T02:12:57-04:00
I bet I know that bar, though I've never been. It's actually well known here. There are some everywhere. I think it's funny one college team has some actually very nice and sometimes fancy, even famous on occasion, establishments worldwide.
I'll definitely go to the NY one someday though. Maybe meet you there.
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-03-10T02:14:31-04:00
Creeper, I'm a goody-two-shoes to the max. Made eagle scout and everything. I keep surprising myself by finding out more and more as I meet people that I am actually a really good person. I may follow the rules too much actually...
Melissa "The Creeper" Nicole 2015-03-10T02:14:43-04:00
New York is great for that. There's a Chiefs bar here, a few Royals friendly bars. You can google pretty much any time, and find a bar owner that's a fan and has made it a that team's bar. There was a michigan state one by my old apartment, and a KU bar nearby.
Kevin "Lord Zombitten" Buckner 2015-03-10T02:15:04-04:00
Creeper, I know, right?
Melissa "The Creeper" Nicole 2015-03-10T02:15:27-04:00
Stay that way, seriously. It's awesome. Let loose once in awhile, .... by the way... did you ever finish your paper?
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-03-10T02:17:35-04:00
It's due in 2 weeks, and I did some scouting today as to what to do with peer reviews. I'm not the worst though. I worked on it 24 hours early, and a couple people started an hour before class. I keep thinking I slack off, but I usually give myself a day or more just in case.
Melissa "The Creeper" Nicole 2015-03-10T02:17:37-04:00
One coworker once said to me "blahblahblah, bob dylan....oh- you wouldn't know him. He was before your time." .......Sure. Mention some obscure musician, i may not be familiar. But bob dylan?
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-03-10T02:18:46-04:00
Jazz musicians are usually obscure. My dad loved them. I could out-do most anybody on jazz topics.
Melissa "The Creeper" Nicole 2015-03-10T02:18:48-04:00
a spare day to deal with our distractions correct?
@Geist- Come back! It was all innocent!!!
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-03-10T02:19:12-04:00
Wow. Jerry lewis is really good, funny, kinda rude once, but got that thrown back at him by a guest. That was a good episode. Good night now! I really hate to leave when the conversation is picking up, but I usually kill it too. It's after 1:00 here, and I should've gone to bed an hour ago. Thankfully in a dorm bed is just 4 or 5 feet away. I should take a picture of my living space for the forum. Kinda comical actually. I have some things on my desk that would baffle you guys.
Melissa "The Creeper" Nicole 2015-03-10T02:20:20-04:00
i absolutely do not miss any sort of dorm living. It's alright. I'm going to finish Scandal and get some sleep as well.
Melissa "The Creeper" Nicole 2015-03-10T02:20:39-04:00
good night all
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-03-10T02:21:10-04:00

Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-03-10T02:22:02-04:00
Also, her name reminds me every time. Can anybody help me find where the movie quote, "My creepy darlings" came from? I think Addams family, but can't even find it on the internet!

Night Creeper!
Night Zem!
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-03-10T02:24:27-04:00
Oh well, not gonna fail more attempts to leave tonight. Goodnight, TEP! Maybe someone can find it for me when I get on tomorrow.
Micah "Zem the Mattress" Philson 2015-03-10T02:26:21-04:00
Idle's not on yet? Aaw,, I said I might be on when she woke up like we could trade off shifts or something. I think it's funny we usually do that. O well, if you're seeing this, I thought it was funny at least. Ok, goodnight again.
(not a failed attempt, just an afterthought)

Anyone know where the web interface for kittencorps mail is? tried mail.kittencorps.com from my browser but only get a landing page. Need access to it as my phone has decided to give up the ghost and refuses to switch on even with another fully charged battery.
I'm using it with gmail and can't see anything addressbook-like...
What's your phone?
C.F. "The Ex-President" Heyns 2015-03-10T05:09:48-04:00
Hi Idle,
The problem is not with the address book, it's to do with the actual end point.
The mail is retrieved from mail.kittencorps.com via a certain port by the e-mail client.
Most mail servers have a public facing end point so that you can log in and view your e-mails online. E.g. Outlook can run from www.somename.com/owa (Outlook Web Access) for external access.
I'll ask CB about it. It appears my phone has decided to re-join this universe and run on DC power again.
C.F. "The Ex-President" Heyns 2015-03-10T05:11:55-04:00
Phone is a Blackberry Curve 9320 and is more than 2 years old. Silly modern technology can't keep up with today's IT demands.
Sometimes busy is best! I like to stray from the daily grind every once in a while, but I'm quite partial to it at the same time. :)
C.F. "The Ex-President" Heyns 2015-03-10T09:36:47-04:00
I would have preferred a productive day over a busy day.
Busy is me putting out fires, productive is building new systems. Which hopefully won't catch fire.
^the fire is not a real one, we have had plenty of those in the past two weeks, and one currently burning in the mountains behind us. 200+ firefighters deployed to help contain it and protect property.

When it comes to sports i just stare. I really enjoy watching games with friends. And i screamed like a banshee when the Royals made it to the playoffs. But if I don't have a personal connection to the team? *blank stare*
hahah -sorry Geist!! :) I know you didn't mean it seriously! Zem didn't seem bothered by it. It was me. I was having flashbacks to people always saying, "That's because you're young!" I went into flashback annoyance mode.
And LZ - well done! Glad you did that!
Hi all!
I'm not going to ask what I missed.... yet.
I like the Oatmeals take on sports interviews. That's how I feel about sports in general. Games are more fun when played
Ooh, i haven't seen that. I'll look it up.
I love watching some things, actually, and just recently discovered watching football can be really fun if you like a team. I love the Huskers, one of dozens of reasons I came to UNL. I also am a scout usher at the games and have only missed a few, less than one a year over the last 6 years now.
Impressive, Zem! I just (oh crap... a few months ago, i guess!) went to a Husker bar in the city with my firneds (one of whom is the girl i mentioned just now).
Haha. My plan is to grow a magnificent beard when I'm 20 and see how long it takes before I stop getting carded. Nebraska is a pretty strict close-watching place though. Probably wouldn't stop here till I were about 40.
It's not like I was a child, either. This event took place no more than ten years agi
I'm kind of a bitch at work with carding. I don't know why. I think it's because I never tried to buy booze when i was underage. I was a rule-follower. And these punks are all trying to trick me. NO!
LZ - Well then, that's just lame.
I bet I know that bar, though I've never been. It's actually well known here. There are some everywhere. I think it's funny one college team has some actually very nice and sometimes fancy, even famous on occasion, establishments worldwide.
I'll definitely go to the NY one someday though. Maybe meet you there.
Creeper, I'm a goody-two-shoes to the max. Made eagle scout and everything. I keep surprising myself by finding out more and more as I meet people that I am actually a really good person. I may follow the rules too much actually...
New York is great for that. There's a Chiefs bar here, a few Royals friendly bars. You can google pretty much any time, and find a bar owner that's a fan and has made it a that team's bar. There was a michigan state one by my old apartment, and a KU bar nearby.
Creeper, I know, right?
Stay that way, seriously. It's awesome. Let loose once in awhile, .... by the way... did you ever finish your paper?
It's due in 2 weeks, and I did some scouting today as to what to do with peer reviews. I'm not the worst though. I worked on it 24 hours early, and a couple people started an hour before class. I keep thinking I slack off, but I usually give myself a day or more just in case.
One coworker once said to me "blahblahblah, bob dylan....oh- you wouldn't know him. He was before your time." .......Sure. Mention some obscure musician, i may not be familiar. But bob dylan?
Jazz musicians are usually obscure. My dad loved them. I could out-do most anybody on jazz topics.
a spare day to deal with our distractions correct?
@Geist- Come back! It was all innocent!!!
I have some things on my desk that would baffle you guys.
i absolutely do not miss any sort of dorm living. It's alright. I'm going to finish Scandal and get some sleep as well.
good night all
I like dorms, but also miss my old really big house and property. Good night, creeper.
Also, her name reminds me every time. Can anybody help me find where the movie quote, "My creepy darlings" came from? I think Addams family, but can't even find it on the internet!
Night Creeper!
Night Zem!
Oh well, not gonna fail more attempts to leave tonight. Goodnight, TEP! Maybe someone can find it for me when I get on tomorrow.
Idle's not on yet? Aaw,, I said I might be on when she woke up like we could trade off shifts or something. I think it's funny we usually do that. O well, if you're seeing this, I thought it was funny at least. Ok, goodnight again.
(not a failed attempt, just an afterthought)
I'm here. I know you're here too.
We are all here in spirit if not in fact.
Hi Idle,
The problem is not with the address book, it's to do with the actual end point.
Phone is a Blackberry Curve 9320 and is more than 2 years old. Silly modern technology can't keep up with today's IT demands.
And now it's time for Lunch!
Yeah I know but I need an address book :)
HNL.
If you are looking for an address book in gmail it should be under 'Contacts'
Can't wait till it arrives!
Greetings Ann! Everyone here is super excited!
Morning... yawn... where's the coffee
I think Catz is hoarding it all.
He's gone for quite some time. I walked in and carried it all to my house. It's under the sofa. Come and get it if you dare.
the sofa coffee stole from Catz's lair.....
Challenge Accepted!
Hey EX mow are you this mornevening?
It's 15:07. That would make it an aftermoon.
Close enough!
Busy as per a normal Tuesday schedule.
Sometimes busy is best! I like to stray from the daily grind every once in a while, but I'm quite partial to it at the same time. :)

Nice huh? Had my fun, most definitely.
Mark T is such a piece of something unidentifiable.
Cheers! Have to pick up the little ones. Will hopefully create some magic scripts tonight for Kitten Corps. Enjoy!
Okay, drive safe and enjoy your evening there EX!
Bye! You're my favorite president. Like all of the ex-es. ;)
What all do you have left to do today Tsveta?
Everything?
Nothing's going as planned today. At least I may gloat for a while.
Such a busy day for everyone it seems!
