@GM - Pretty normal save for the fact that our province is mostly on fire (I'm in British Columbia). We've got 180 forest fires and Vancouver is completely blanketed in smoke. It's really freaky. The sun looks the Eye of Sauron right now, all red and glowy.
@Zem - Hah! I wish. The whole province is smokey. We've even had our first forest fire related death of a fire crew member in BC history yesterday. Which happened to be a family friend of a good friend of mine. Yaaaaay....Smashley does not have much happy today :(

Man, Smashley, it seems like not such a good day for a few people. I only have to complain that its monday, but it's the last week of my summer class session, so that's not even bad.
I'm thankfully safe and sound (save for the mild irritant of smoke inhalation). But it's really frightening. It's really bad in Pemberton and on the island right now. And I'm from the island originally so a lot of friends and family are there. Lots of feels going on. So if everyone could pray/send good vibes/converse with Cthulhu for some rain in BC that would be GREAT.

Nothing like eating lunch...over 1.5hours after the normal time to eat lunch...stupid late information, last minute(like 5minutes before having submitted last weeks payroll) adjustments, and waiting for information to do the job....Geist...we need a time machine to find the winning lottery numbers and get rich.
Thanks Smashley. It usually happens the Thursday, Friday, and Monday after finishing the big payroll...even worse when getting the information verified, by the people who are supposed to, takes forever.

I think at least one northern state was 420 blazin' too last week. Nebraska's been in a drought until possibly this insanely wet year. Seriously, more rain this year than like the last 3 combined and we're only halfway through!
Then there's pussy California. We're in a drought! Of course, we ARE mostly in a f****** desert. And waste more water than Niagara Falls after a pot of coffee. And really don't care, we're just using this as an excuse to rule the lives of our constituents and save some money. It stopped raining as I got to my bike. I thought everything was going to be fine. Then I stopped at the intersection, waiting to turn left. There was about 1/2 inch of standing water in the lane next to me. The people weren't driving slow. I got drenched with road water. But I made it home safely.
Oh no! That sucks :( But at least your home safe and sound. I'm about to make the incredible journey home myself, through the smoke infested streets of Vancouver. Yaaaay.....

It's actually a youtube series, not a tv show. Though it's on netflix. Did it ever air? I just watched it as Freddie Wong released them. I kind of liked them, but after awhile, his plots and their soap-opera style twists every damn episode started to get to me. The premise and first season were great, then the next two were just good. Though he's said even though he terminated VGHS, he's almost certainly working on another similar project.

Oh, just the usual people not sending information on time, or properly, or just half the information I need to do my job. Now we have 15-20 people that were paid for 1 of the two weeks that they worked. Trying to get it all fixed, organized, and some sort of policy in place for making sure they get paid what they are supposed to for the foreseeable future.
Just lay them all off. It's worked for major corporations before, it'll sure as heck work for you!
Or lay them off like a shark in the night, one by one, no apparent correlation, so that they all work like frightened idiots for half the cost.

@GM - Pretty normal save for the fact that our province is mostly on fire (I'm in British Columbia). We've got 180 forest fires and Vancouver is completely blanketed in smoke. It's really freaky. The sun looks the Eye of Sauron right now, all red and glowy.

@Zem - Hah! I wish. The whole province is smokey. We've even had our first forest fire related death of a fire crew member in BC history yesterday. Which happened to be a family friend of a good friend of mine. Yaaaaay....Smashley does not have much happy today :(

Man, Smashley, it seems like not such a good day for a few people. I only have to complain that its monday, but it's the last week of my summer class session, so that's not even bad.
I'm thankfully safe and sound (save for the mild irritant of smoke inhalation). But it's really frightening. It's really bad in Pemberton and on the island right now. And I'm from the island originally so a lot of friends and family are there. Lots of feels going on. So if everyone could pray/send good vibes/converse with Cthulhu for some rain in BC that would be GREAT.
I will sacrifice one of GM's evil co-workers to the gods so that you get a huge rainstorm. Heck, take some of mine. It's been raining off and on the whole weekend and we are due for still more.

Nothing like eating lunch...over 1.5hours after the normal time to eat lunch...stupid late information, last minute(like 5minutes before having submitted last weeks payroll) adjustments, and waiting for information to do the job....Geist...we need a time machine to find the winning lottery numbers and get rich.

Thanks Smashley. It usually happens the Thursday, Friday, and Monday after finishing the big payroll...even worse when getting the information verified, by the people who are supposed to, takes forever.
I know this feeling. I'm office mates with the woman who is our Program Admin and I hear all sorts of horror stories of people not signing off on stuff and the complaining that their expenses are late or people submitting expense claims waaaaaay after the cut off date. Insanity I tell yah.
Count me in on winning this whole lottery thing. I don't need hundreds of millions either. (Although my own Bat-Cave WOULD be awesome.)

I think at least one northern state was 420 blazin' too last week. Nebraska's been in a drought until possibly this insanely wet year. Seriously, more rain this year than like the last 3 combined and we're only halfway through!
Then there's pussy California. We're in a drought! Of course, we ARE mostly in a f****** desert. And waste more water than Niagara Falls after a pot of coffee. And really don't care, we're just using this as an excuse to rule the lives of our constituents and save some money. Oh, and the drought really isn't nearly as bad as the media says it is, at least in most of the state.
@GM - yah Alberta was rough last week but I think they're a bit more contained now? But I could be wrong.
@Zem - Yah there was tons of media attention on Cali's drought and now nothing?
At least one day here was really cloudy, but they said it was actually smoke from like montana or south dakota or something. May have been Alberta as well.

It stopped raining as I got to my bike. I thought everything was going to be fine. Then I stopped at the intersection, waiting to turn left. There was about 1/2 inch of standing water in the lane next to me. The people weren't driving slow. I got drenched with road water. But I made it home safely.
Oh no! That sucks :( But at least your home safe and sound. I'm about to make the incredible journey home myself, through the smoke infested streets of Vancouver. Yaaaay.....

Awwww. I hope the wee one gets better soon. Uncomfortable babies are fussy babies which translates into no sleep for the parents.
Early stage Bronchiolitis, need to get anti-biotics and a nebuliser 4 times a day.
Either that or end up in Hospital. So I am taking leave for the next 3 days.
I should be on during the evenings this side, which translates to mid afternoon state side.

@Geist - It's a TV show, Video Game HIgh School and it's amazing. I highly recommend it to anyone of the geeky/nerdy persuasion, especially if video games are your thing. It's awesome and on Netflix. Start watching and report back :D
It's actually a youtube series, not a tv show. Though it's on netflix. Did it ever air? I just watched it as Freddie Wong released them. I kind of liked them, but after awhile, his plots and their soap-opera style twists every damn episode started to get to me. The premise and first season were great, then the next two were just good. Though he's said even though he terminated VGHS, he's almost certainly working on another similar project.
